Unverifiable?

[edit]
To be specific your edit here, does not seem to be verifiable by the cited source.
As it is I've tagged the statement:
"The Barron River exceeded the March 1977 record of 3.8 metres (12 ft), making it the worst flooding event in Cairns since records began in 1915"
as I can't see that in that source. If I've missed something please let me know.
exclamation mark  https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-12-17/qld-flooding-fnq-cyclone-jasper-sunday/103238806 Does seem to verify the 1915 claim. Regards, 220 of ßorg 11:09, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually it mentions 1977 too!
"... rain gauge at Myola, outside Cairns, is at its highest point since records began — up to 40 per cent beyond the flood records set in 1977."

I have been struggling to find reliable resources as most have come from council and BOM interviews. I will continue to search. Blairbluey (talk) 11:52, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
