Donhead needs secondary sources

[edit]

Not sure what you wanted to achieve by undoing 10 edits without explanation, rather than just going back to the first one. If you wanted to antagonise, remember civility is a pillar of Wikipedia, not an option. Every paragraph in the Donhead Preparatory School article needs to be cited from a secondary source - so something not written by Donhead. This need of citations is not just to make the article in anyway better, but it is so that the article is considered to be notable, and therefore can continue to exist on Wikipedia. The General Notability Guidelines mean that any article not referenced by secondary sources is not notable, therefore, needs to be deleted from Wikipedia, including Donhead. Removing citations or adding unreferenced information, especially promotional material, increases the likelihood of the article being deleted. It is counterproductive in every way. Please add only cited verifiable information and explain you edits with an edit summary. That's it, that way, the Donhead article continues and everyone can move on. Genuinely, I hope you that you can go forward and edit happily on Wikipedia. Cardofk (talk) 08:08, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't believe me about how articles are deleted, here is the list of yesterday's nominations where currently articles on 4 schools are being nominated for deletion. However, that's only in one day. One Wikipedia user nominated 136 school articles to be deleted in one day. I managed to save just 1 article. Even with the secondary sources that I added to try to make the Donhead article's notability more secure, its notability is still shaky: neither Donhead's history, architecture nor status by themselves make it notable, as hardly any secondary sources mention the school. So please add verifiable information from secondary sources, not school memories, not school traditions, or school newsletter articles, blogs, or promotional statements. That way, there will still be an article to talk about. Cardofk (talk) 08:36, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
