Managing a conflict of interest

Like Theroadislong says above, in general you shouldn't edit the WP-article about you (I'm assuming for the time being you are the article subject). It is supposed to be a summary of reliable sources (WP:RS) about you but independent of you. WP has a limited success achieving this in our articles, but it's the goal. You are welcome to comment and suggest sources at Talk:Bill Barretta. If you know of any great WP:RS about you that could be of use, please mention them there.

Now, I see you have uploaded a lot [1] of pictures as "own work". This means in context that you are stating you are the copyright holder, which usually means the you're the photographer, or that you have legally acquired the copyright somehow. WP and Commons (where we keep most pics) are both VERY careful about copyright, it comes from a desire to stay online. That you are the copyright holder is not obviously the case,[2] (and the one you chose as leadimage looks VERY professional) Billbarretta19 could be anyone. It is quite possible that these will all be deleted unless proof of copyright is given, which can be done by off-wiki (non-public) mail contact. Any comment on this?
