[edit]Hello, I'm Sergecross73. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sergecross73 msg me 02:08, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- You, and MFTP Dan think is my fault? BigStoneonWiki (talk) 11:09, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Edits like this are not acceptable, because you did not add a source when you added a music genre, and your edit summary seems to indicate you added it because of your personal interpretation, which is not acceptable because it violates our policy of no original research.
- You must add a source every time you add a music genre (or any content). If you do not stop this, your account may be temporarily blocked from editing, so take the time to learn this. Read WP:REFB for more help on it. Sergecross73 msg me 11:51, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- No, please don't BigStoneonWiki (talk) 13:26, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- As long as you stop what you're doing and start following the rules I outlined, then nothing will happen. Sergecross73 msg me 14:08, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- The music genres? BigStoneonWiki (talk) 14:22, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yes. You must add a source every time you add a music genre. You may not just go by your own personal opinion. Sergecross73 msg me 14:31, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- I like hard rock, I am a fan of heavy metal, and hard rock BigStoneonWiki (talk) 14:31, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, me too. But you've still got to use sources, even when you're a big fan. Sergecross73 msg me 14:55, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, friend, but how I can use sources? BigStoneonWiki (talk) 15:01, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Here, I kept tabs on this situation. Since you asked, I'll show you an example of an existing source. When we argued about Money for Nothing (song), this article by The Daily Review says, "The opening tracks are pretty conventional pop-rock chart shooters". Since this is in the plural, and "Money for Nothing" is track two on the album, in this case it is fair game to use to describe the song. mftp dan oops 15:14, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, look I'm sorry put a hard rock to this BigStoneonWiki (talk) 15:25, 10 December 2024 (UTC)

Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Edge of Seventeen, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Doctorhawkes (talk) 12:04, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
