I patrol Wikipedia using Huggle, and previously using VandalProof before it broke.
If, while doing so, you believe I have made a mistake, please note:
  • Most Huggle work I do involves patrolling new pages. Because of the IRC feed it is possible to review upwards of 30 pages per minute using this tool and tag up to 15 ppm if a page is obviously going to fail a speedy deletion. Huggle allows me to tag and leave messages whilst looking at other pages, just because of my speed does not mean I just tag pages for the sake of it without reading.
  • If I am wrong then all I can say is sorry but I made a mistake like we all do and hopefully the tag, PROD or XFD will fail.
  • I am not on Wikipedia 24/7.
  • I've I have made a mistake I usually realise my error and revert it. If I haven't after a few minutes feel free to leave a message
  • If I don't revert a bad edit after a few minutes I made feel free to point it out.
  • I usually spot when I've made bad edits so at least give me a minute to revert any tagging if it's clearly wrong.
  • If your article is sub stub, but you're going to improve it, please make sure you tag the article so I know you're not just going to leave it like most of the new pages I come accross. If I see it's not intended to be the finished product then I'll back off.
If you leave a message on my talk page I will leave replies on your talk page

Why do you claim stating a fact about ray comfort is a breach of neutral point of view facts are never in breach of neutrality!--203.192.91.4 (talk) 13:00, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The reason is that you added an unsourced statement" Nice statement apart fromt he fact its wrong. So how does being neutral overide the truth?--203.192.91.4 (talk) 15:04, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You might also want to have a look how wikipedia rules say not to include unsourced material! Oh wait you where claiming I did that before, but you put back referenced material I delted, so you know the rule! So why are you breaking it?--203.192.91.4 (talk) 15:07, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok so your saying you dont know ray comfort is a fundamentalist, then maybe you should not stick you ideas on a topic you do not know about and are unwilling to educate yourself on! You could email him and ask him yourself if thats what it takes! The fact he is a fundamentalist and people do not like it is not in the rules to remove to remove a fact that was referenced!

"I have read the policies you cite and I suggest you read the ones I have mentioned as they clearly encompass this situation"

Thats lawyering and your opinion on the rules, which is offcoruse wrong.

Show me in the rules where it says to exclude a verified fact?--203.192.91.4 (talk) 07:46, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy

[edit]

Creations of satyajit ray, though not a good title, does not fit into the critria established for WP:CSD A1, No context. the context is clear and obvious. Similarly The Billy Goat Caller though an impossibly bad article, also does not meet that definition. Also For a no construction tag, it is usual to allow 7 days for completion of the article, not 2 hours. I see a number of other people have mad similar complaints about your speedy deletions.

Now, I note you were using Huggle. If you are going to use automated tools, you have a special responsibility to make sure to use them correctly. I would strongly advise you (and for that matter everyone) to stop using it for speedy deletion marking. DGG (talk) 09:30, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bradford City GA review

[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for the review of Bradford City A.F.C. season 2007-08. I was very surprised to see it all passed when I logged on. I'll see if there are any more images possible, though I'm not sure there are. But would you have any other recommendations for pushing towards FAC. Peanut4 (talk) 10:30, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

VP

[edit]

Basically VP is dead, and I did communicate with amidaniel about it, but he doesn't appear to have done anything about that. I would strongly recommend WP:HUGGLE as a much better and up to date tool. Prodego talk 14:42, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I offered to do as you suggest a while ago, but amidaniel indicated that he would like to do that himself, so I am reluctant to. And he is still around, but rarely edits. Prodego talk 00:41, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page move at Cricket clothing

[edit]

Hi. I noticed this edit and wondered where the discussion regarding it was? --Dweller (talk) 15:24, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Might have been an idea to drop a line to the creator or the main contributor... oops, that's me twice :-) No worries. The title's not really appropriate, as I don't think it's ever called "cricket clothing" that I know of, but I've kicked off a debate at WT:CRIC to find its best home... it might end up being merged. --Dweller (talk) 18:57, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aiav

[edit]

Hello BigHairRef! Aiav is not a spelling mistake, it's redirect to Wikipedia:AIAV! The Ogre (talk) 20:58, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well... I always type aiav (which is rendered as Aiav, as you know), so I thought it could be a good redirect... But if you really think it's not a good idea, please feel free to delete it. Cheers! The Ogre (talk) 21:06, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not speedy incomplete articles the same minute (literally, in this case) they are created, but allow time for people to finish writing the article. But even in the very first version, the article not only asserted notability through exhibitions, but proved it sufficiently to pass WP:AFD: A "solo museum exhibition at the Tang Center and was included in the 1991 Whitney Biennial" together with the multiple good RS references there was almost certainly sufficient to meet the requirements. The additional information provided since shows clear and undoubted notability.

many of your speedies are good, and I want to encourage you to continue patrolling, but you are going too fast, as easily possible with Huggle. Consider the desirability of using WP:PROD if the article might be fixable or is in process of construction and has any potential promise at all . DGG (talk) 22:26, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:VideoJug Logo.png)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:VideoJug Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:26, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

[edit]

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

About your Admin Coaching request

This is because you have not visited the page for at least 6 months (or your account has been inactive for at least 4 months).

You are welcome to re-submit a request should you wish to, but please note that you are expected to regularly check the page (and to update the "last visited" field of your request). If you do re-submit, please carefully re-read the instructions for submission as they may have changed since you last visited!

If you no longer require admin coaching, I hope that you continue to enjoy editing Wikipedia!

Hello BigHairRef! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 54 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. License tagging for File:Harry and Ruth Final Spooks Episode.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Harry and Ruth Final Spooks Episode.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
