Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your recent edits to List of people from Bihar have been reverted as they could be seen to be defamatory or potentially libellous. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List : Great people requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. - MrX 03:57, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lists

[edit]

You have created several new list articles, some of which have been deleted and some of which will probably soon be deleted because they do not meet Wikipedia's inclusion standards.

Some of these lists lack notability. Please see WP:LISTN for the applicable guidelines. A list article should not be created unless the group referred to in the list is notable and that notability can be cited with reliable sources. Generally, if there is not an article on the subject, a list on the same subject should not be created. - MrX 04:07, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, List : famous Rajput

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List : famous Rajput. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of Rajputs. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Rajputs – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Howzat?Out!Out!Out! (talk) 17:26, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

User page categories

[edit]

Hi Bidhan Singh. I removed the categories from your userpage. We actually have a separate category system for Wikipedia users than for articles. The categories that I think you want are [[Category:Wikipedians in India]] or [[Category:Indian Wikipedians]] You're welcome to use those; also, if you go to those category pages, you'll see that you can also use userboxes (which are decorative elements for user pages) that will automatically categorize you. Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bidhan Singh, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 180 days. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 14:29, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bihar

[edit]

List of people from Bihar is not only for people still alive--the list is for any person who is currently or who has in the past lived in Bihar (though usually they need to have either been born there or lived there for a substantial/important amount of time). There is no requirement that the people still be alive.

Additionally, we never describe people as "late"--that's a euphemism. When needed, we would say that someone "died" or "is dead". But in a list like that one, we don't need it at all. The whole point of having a hyperlinked encyclopedia is that anyone who is interested in finding out more information about a given person can click on the link. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Political organisation, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Campaign and Interest groups (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:41, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent edits do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the "sandbox" rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributor's help page, or you can write {{helpme}} below this message along with a question and someone will be along to answer it shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

Facebook linking

Please stop adding your Facebook link to articles - it is considered spamming and will ultimately result in a block of your account if it continues. You have many notes and warnings on this page; I suggest you read through them and follow the links provided in order to have a better understanding of the various Wikipedia policies and guidelines. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for repeatedly adding spam links to pages, and creating pages that very much don't conform to WP policies. I don't think that you understand what Wikipedia is or how it works. Looking back through your contributions, I don't see any that are helpful (though I admit to not having checked all of them). Please read through the numerous policy links that have been given to you. You may even want to consider getting a mentor after your block expires. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Qwyrxian (talk) 22:25, 20 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission Bidhan Singh

[edit]

Hello Bidhan Singh. It has been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Bidhan Singh.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bidhan Singh}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 11:01, 2 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits at mass media

[edit]

Please stop making the same changes to mass media. There are many problems with the changes that you aren't addressing each time you put them back. First and foremost, there is no consensus to define "mass media" as "media process." Several of the statements contain spelling and grammatical errors to the extent that they are difficult to understand, but most importantly, significant changes to the meaning of an article require (a) citing sources that back up what you're writing and (b) using the talk page to discuss the changes first (otherwise they will continue being reverted). I believe you have the best intentions to improve Wikipedia, but please work on the talk page to explain what you feel should change and why. Repeatedly restoring the same contentious information often results in being blocked from editing. --— Rhododendrites talk04:46, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. --— Rhododendrites talk03:12, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Block notice

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for disruptive editing. The changes you are making across various articles are at best misguided, and at worst detrimental, as the additions and grammar changes add misleading and factually incorrect information to this encyclopedia. In a collaborative environment such as Wikipedia it is essential that you communicate with your fellow editors, yet the disruption continues unabated with no indication from you that you understand why your edits are being reverted or assurances that you will stop. The block is of an indefinite duration, that is you are blocked until 1) you acknowledge that you are aware that there are serious concerns with regard to your edits and 2) you explain how you will address those same concerns if you were to be unblocked. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 18:49, 1 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
