Suggestions for improving Richard de Venables

[edit]

Hi. I worked a bit on your article Richard de Venables, mainly by improving categories. Please check them and add more categories that apply. Good luck with your edits! -- Bbarmadillo (talk) 19:20, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Richard de Venables again.

[edit]

Hi there, I just came across Richard de Venables, and there seems to be a few problems with the sourcing. The majority of the sources seem to come from genealogy websites, which are pretty notorious for being unreliable.I have written a breakdown of the issues on the talk page. (you should really read WP:RS if you haven't aleady). The biggest issue is that the only good quality reference you have is actually about another guy. Wikipedia cannot have an article about two different people mixed up together. Neither person on their own seem to have enough information around to make a decent article. I cant think of how to fix it, without more/better sourcing, but I'm having trouble finding any. Just thought I would explain before proceeding further.. Regarding Patternless whistling frog (Eleutherodactylus diplasius)

[edit]

Dear Benjamin Mitchell, your article Patternless whistling frog (Eleutherodactylus diplasius) seems to lack some of the general standards for a Wikipedia article, but what I want to ask, are you sure this is a valid species? At Wikispecies (please see species:Eleutherodactylus wetmorei it is regarded as synonyme for Eleutherodactylus wetmorei. I think one of your mentnoed sources is IUC (http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/195008/0), but I dont think IUCN are really a good taxonomy source? It seem some of the other sources goes back to 1973, and at least one of the sources you have listed, (http://www.dcnanature.org/lesser-antillean-whistling-frog/) is referred to another species, Lesser Antillean Whistling Frog (Eleutherodactylus johnstonei)?
