[edit]I deleted File:Condor of Bermuda in South East Asia 2009.jpg because it had an invalid licence. I am slightly suspicious of your claim to hold the copyright because of the small size of your images. If you do hold the copyright, please re-upload this image, a) to The Commons and b) at the largest image size you have. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:11, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks... but most of my images have come from my Facebook Page; as I downloaded them to my laptop only to have to re-upload them back here. Sorry , I am new at this. But thank's for your interest. Could you please put back the Akitio river image? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Belro629 (talk • contribs)
If you are talking about File:Rafting on Akitio River 2005.jpg, you obviously have not actually looked at Akitio where the Commons version of the image is there large as life. Also, there is no point in adding file:Sand Dunes Akitio 1990.jpg back into the article until you upload an image (to The Commons) with that title. Please sign talk page messages with ~~~~ You are allowed to give a link to your Facebook page in user:Belro629. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 01:19, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks - yes, it was deleted, and i restored it - the issue was a capital .JPG vs a .jpg reference, and an autobot type thing cleaned it up. Thanks for that.
- This page is still under construction, so I will get to the files (but some I don't have on me/or need to scan in from pictures)... is there some code that I should use to denote "under construction"? Cheers, Belro629 (talk) 01:28, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
I suspect you may have confused yourself with this edit where you reverted my JPG back to jpg. Were you working from an offline copy of the text? There is an {{under construction}} tag but it is only needed for articles of dubious notability. The Akitio article is self-evidently notable so no tag is needed. But please tell me what is this establishment with its eight segments (or are they sectors?)? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 04:02, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Haha.. that's a sheep yard at the Modern 'Monaroa' station.. that's the original Marainanga Wool sheds (from the original Marainanga Estate), where sheep are shorn... they use these yards to reduce stock numbers to manageable sizes for people and dogs to handle.
It would be more funny to say it's a missile silo or something, but that's not true!
Glad to be of help to you!... Yeah.. I was editing the txt, and went to save it, and it had a copy violation.. i thought it was a computer error, or somthing, as i thought nobody would even know the site existed, when I then saw you were removing some of the pics that i had uploaded with a mistaken selection on the what's its face copyright stuff... :) Belro629 (talk) 08:23, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Expression of thanks - but . . .
[edit]Many thanks for your contributions to the article about the yacht called Condor. However, I do have one reservation - Could I suggest that it is not, in fact, necessary to use capital letters for the article title, nor for references to the name (of the yacht) in the page?
There is some guidance available on this matter at Manual of Style. The relevant sentence (about article titles) is: The initial letter of a title is capitalized (except in very rare cases, such as eBay). Otherwise, capital letters are used only where they would be used in a normal sentence
I would very much like to suggest that the name of the article is changed to 'Condor (yacht)', or something similar.Clrfr-2 (talk) 04:36, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Kialoa Kilroy Allanprior.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Kialoa Kilroy Allanprior.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Brolly Sheets
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Brolly Sheets, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of Brolly Sheets and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 02:11, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:BrollySheets Logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:BrollySheets Logo.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:07, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:BrollySheets_Logo.gif)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:BrollySheets_Logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 01:57, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:StokeParkClub.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:StokeParkClub.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of The Northern Club (Auckland)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Northern Club (Auckland) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Thanks Fae. Please take another look at it when you can, and please remove the deletion tag. Cheers; Rob.
- No problem, good job on adding the sources in order to address the WP:CLUB guidelines. Fæ (talk) 09:46, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
The article KlickEx has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence of notability. Sourced to KlickEx's own web site, business promotional site, a press release, and the web site of an organisation that uses KlickEx.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 18:15, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Caffeyw (talk) 00:17, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you recently added commentary to an article, Louisiana Purchase. While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them, and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Article talk pages are not the place to discuss opinions of the subject of articles, nor are such pages a forum. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 19:52, 20 August 2014 (UTC)
