Classes offered on editing Wiki sites and web sites?

Does anyone know of any classes that offer comprehensive study on editing web pages, such as Wiki sites and the full functionality of Wiki sites (e.g. blocking users, acting as site admnistrators, etc.)?

Nothing much would happen. Try clicking on a diff and you should have a green button, a blue button and a red button at the top, right above the date and time and username. You should also have more buttons at the top of any page- on a user page, they'll say warn, arv, csd etc. Any help?If that doesn't work, try going to special:preferences, click the "gadgets" tab and tick the box next to Twinkle. SPI

Hi Native94080, and thanks for your comments at WP:SPI. I recently handled Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Admiralandy which you filed. I noticed you have filed a few cases with regards to this sockmaster in the past. If you could, please, in the future, file these under the name of the sockmaster, at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Brucejenner, instead of the sockpuppet as you have been doing, this would save a little time. I often save under WP:SPI because web page coding instructions are provided there, in addition to the convenient user name entry button which creates the page automatically. Native94080 (talk) 23:28, 11 April 2010 (UTC)

Just go to WP:SPI as you have in the past. However, instead of using the new name, use the original sockmaster's name (i.e., Brucejenner). This creates a new section, not a new page, so there's nothing different to do. It will just append it to the already-existing page. It looks like Brucejenner is going under the name of "Sebastian Cusson" in Facebook. I checked the "Gay Marriage Killed The Dinosaurs" group in Facebook, and he is trying to "save" people from homosexuality. Hopefully, this user will stop socking Wikipedia and vent out his personal views into Facebook instead. And maybe we Wikipedians can do a CheckUser on him when he logs in from his Facebook account? We just have to keep playing "whack-a-Brucie" as he continues to create socks. I don't have CU rights, but I've blocked entire ranges for up to a year when an obvious sock checks in as an anon. Best example is this meatball right here. If you suspect a BJ sock, report it and request a rangeblock. Feel free to drop me a line as well. Why do all the nimrods seem to have dynamic IPs? Eh, maybe "Sebastian Cusson" in Facebook is not Brucejenner. I tried to expose that person in Facebook as someone in Wikipedia that constantly gets blocked and Sebastian Cusson in Facebook didn't say anything about it. He said that he doesn't even know what a "socket puppet" is, him assuming that it's a gay thing that he'd rather not know about. Native94080 (talk) 15:49, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi again. I'll come to your defense whenever possible where "Brucejenner" is concerned, but that "17 reasons" thing is just going to torque him off more. I admit it's a hard guideline to follow since I too have a hell of a time following it, but remember WP:DNFTT next time ol' Brucie rears his ugly little head, capeesh? That's why these LGBT pages simply have to keep being monitored. I'm probably watching them more frequently than anyone else at the moment. There will always be an opportunity for Bruce to insert his biased edits, if no one keeps a keen eye on these pages. My hope is that Bruce finally recognizes the 17 reasons that I keep posting in his talk pages, and realizes that his biased edits simply won't prevail. And if you are having difficulty in recognizing the 17 reasons that I keep posting, remember what Mayor Gavin Newsom said one time: "Whether you like it or not!" Seeking consensus on when to edit File:Samesex marriage in USA.svg following new legislation/court-rulings

Hello, I have noticed you made edits on File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg and/or File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg/Archive 5, so I am contacting you to take part in a newly-formed discussion at File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg as for whether we should update the map directly when a new legislation or court-order hits the books or if we should wait until said action takes effect. Historically, we have been updating the map when the new legislation is signed (or veto overrode or won at the ballot box, etc.), and thus it can be inferred that the consensus is to update as soon as one of those occurs. A discussion has emerged in regards to whether we should begin updating from the effective date instead of from the date of signing/etc. If you have an opinion over this matter please post it at File_talk:Samesex_marriage_in_USA.svg#When_to_update_map.3F_Effective_date_or_signing.2Fruling_date
