Speedy deletion nomination of Beatboxing dog
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Beatboxing dog requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. ttonyb (talk) 23:57, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

The article Battle of Klagenfurt has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Hoax. At Klagenfurt the only mention of Napoleon is in 1809 and not 1797. In 1797 he was in Italy, see War of the First Coalition. At the time this battle was supposed to have taken place the Treaty of Campo Formio was almost completed after five months negotiations. Based on the edit summary for the creation of this I think this may also be from a game. Google scholar has no hits whatsoever.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 05:21, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Luna the Leaping cow

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Luna the Leaping cow requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Removing Speedy at Luna the Leaping cow
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Luna the Leaping cow, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hang on}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 21:01, 10 April 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Battlesnake1,
It seems to me that an article you worked on, Blackhorse riders a desperate last stand,an extraordinary rescue mission,and the Vietnam battle America forgot, may be copied from http://us.macmillan.com/blackhorseriders/PhilipKeith. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.
It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Homeland Security Market Research
[edit]Dear Battlesnake1,
In November 2013 you created the page Homeland Security Market Research, which claims that its subject is a part of the US Department of Homeland Security. However, you left no source that corroborates this claim. Could you please join the discussion at Talk:Homeland Security Market Research regarding this issue? QVVERTYVS (hm?) 14:17, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

You can be unblocked if you can explain why you created them and what you will do in the future to make sure this doesn't happen again. An agreement not to create new articles or only to do them in your user space and then ask for review would help. Dougweller (talk) 14:52, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

This is about the "Homeland Security Market Research" page that had me blocked; the reason I created that page was that on the article about Improvised explosive devices, the HSMR was mentioned but the page did not exist so I decided to create it. While creating it, there was not much information available except for the website and an online article. As for the reason it was removed because of false information, I looked at the aforementioned official website and found out they were involved in the Homeland Security industry, they were actually not involved with the actual Department of Homeland Security. I am terribly sorry for this and I agree to the condition to never create new articles unless I create them on my user space first for review.

The section in the Improvised Explosive Device Wikipedia page that mentions the HSMR.

Edit Summaries on Talk Page
[edit]Hi there, when editing the Talk page on the Gamergate controversy it would be helpful if you put a comment in saying which section you are editing. If you click the 'Edit' link next to the section header the edit form will pre-populate the edit summary for you. As it's a busy page it helps other editors to know which discussion is being updated so that they can ignore updates to discussions they're not following or a part of. Thanks! — Strongjam (talk) 15:05, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I've noticed you've edited a number of high school and college infoboxes so that the name of the school appears instead of the school's URL in the website category. This is problematic, since an editor could replace the URL with, say, a URL to a porn site, but the name of the school would appear in the infobox. If another editor did not catch the substitution and revert, an unsuspecting reader could click on it and be taken to the porn site. Please stop making these edits. Also, please note the standard is to use {{URL}}, not the brackets you've been using (see Template:Infobox). Thanks. Contributor321 (talk) 05:50, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- Hello @Battlesnake1:, thank you for working on those school URLs. But I noticed that you still "hide" the URLs in infoboxes and don't use the {{URL}} template as recommended in the Template:infobox school documentation - see [[2]] for example. Please make sure to use syntax like
website = {{URL|ahs-fusd-ca.schoolloop.com}}
for the website parameter in infoboxes and do not overwrite the original URL information (in most cases). Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 01:52, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

Pickens County, South Carolina
[edit]Hi there, I read through Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. counties and didn't see anything about adding a link to the county sheriff's office (or the school board or county newspaper). That's why I deleted it stating per WP:ELMINOFFICIAL and WP:LINKFARM. Did I miss something? Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:52, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
Hello, I understood why you deleted that link at first. I should have clarified it when I initially added it in. Battlesnake1 (talk) 23:54, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
- If you understood why I deleted it, why did you add it back? The official county website is already on the article, and on that website is a link to the Sheriff's Office, see [3]. Please take a moment to read WP:ELMINOFFICIAL and WP:LINKFARM. Thank you again. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:03, 18 July 2016 (UTC)
- When you actually click on the Sheriff's Office link on the Pickens County website, the link redirects to a generic "Domain for sale" page. I found the working website on Google and put that link on the "External links" section of the article for the sake of convenience. I was saying that I should have clarified that the link on the Pickens County website was dead, hence the reason for putting the working link on the article.

"Recent edit also had some bias"
[edit]I wonder what you thought you were referring to when you said this? Factchecker_atyourservice 16:48, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
The "bias" part came from the part of your edit that read,"a homeowner who called to report an intruder was mistakenly shot dead by police." It's biased because the officers believed that they were actually getting shot at , while the family of the victim claimed that they had the wrong person. Also, the homeowner did not call the police to report the intruder. A silent burglar alarm was going off, so the police were already responding. In addition, the ex-wife also called 911 to report the intruder. The homeowner was busy chasing after the intruder because he was concerned about his mother. Battlesnake1 (talk) 17:03, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- I was just trying to include a one sentence summary of what happened since the sequence of events was a little hard to figure out. Apologies for the mistakes, but I still don't see how you perceived them as bias. In favor of whom? Oh well, it doesn't really matter I guess. Factchecker_atyourservice 15:27, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

db.ukrcensus.gov.ua
[edit]Hello Battlesnake1,
Do NOT, please, archive "db.ukrcensus.gov.ua" pages — there are ".asp" pages "down the tree" and the "Wayback" doesn't archive the content of these pages.

Orphaned non-free image File:Neutralized Suspects in Ready Or Not.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Neutralized Suspects in Ready Or Not.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:21, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited People's Defence Force (Myanmar), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page ARTE. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 06:16, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
Battle of Timit moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Battle of Timit. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Archive links
[edit]Hello Battlesnake1, you seem to have added these archive-url's manually. Please note that they can be added automatically using WP:IABOT. Moreover, the url-status field is always required when the current links are functional. In future, please refrain from adding archive-url's manually. I would normally revert them unless they are added justifiably for dead links. They cause unnecessary bloat. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 09:34, 6 June 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Lo Hsing Han.png
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Lo Hsing Han.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Whpq (talk) 04:14, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
