Query

[edit]

Hi, I have left a query at Talk:Kayastha#Too much detail about your edits to the Kayastha article today, which basically reinstated what I consider to be poor content. - Sitush (talk) 10:15, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Important messages

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Note

[edit]

Bengali Babu is Back, your recent trolling/needling at Talk:Kayastha (telling other editors to "relax", "don't be a child", "What has made you so edgy?", "you used to be such a jolly good sport") needs to stop. You won't receive any further warnings given that Bishonen has already informed you of the relevant sanctions, and since it is obvious that this is not your first account on wikipedia. Abecedare (talk) 17:20, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I know that Newton found gravity. That doesnt mean I saw him do it or this isnt my first life. I am a good sport and dont want to get heated up or edgy like other user. So I try to diffuse the situation. I know a wrong when I see it. I speak out when I see it. But in a relaxed jolly good way and take things sportingly. But I will keep your warning in mind. Bangali Babu Is Back (talk) 17:27, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I don't find your explanation credible, and given your continued disruption at Kayastha and the talkpage, I'll be topic-banning you from caste-related articles. Abecedare (talk) 17:32, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hahaha ok. But my edits were not disruptive. The other user has made the page into his personal notes. He is not even ready to add verifiable information. I am trying to reason out with him. But you are deleting my views. Funny place this wikipedia. Bangali Babu Is Back (talk) 17:40, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of topic-ban

[edit]

For continued disruptive editing and Gaming civility at Kayastha and its talkpage, I have decided, in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the terms of this community discussion, to impose the following sanction on you:

You have been topic banned from all pages related to castes and social groups for a period of six months (i.e., till Nov 20, 2020)

This sanction has been logged at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction to the community at the administrators' noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me on my talk page, before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Abecedare (talk) 17:36, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

As part of your topic ban, it's time you left Sitush alone. Don't post on his page or refer to him again. Bishonen | tålk 19:10, 20 May 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Yes ma’am. Anything else? Bangali Babu Is Back (talk) 12:31, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. In addition, your ability to edit your talk page has also been revoked.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then submit a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System.  Abecedare (talk) 13:30, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
