Edit made to article Asif Mahmud

[edit]

Hello, thank you for your edit to the Asif Mahmud article. I have reverted it, as I do not believe the use of honorifics is appropriate in this instance. Please use the article's talk page to reach a consensus. QEnigma (talk) 18:32, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BKSP Public School & College, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  Sumanuil. Hello Bakhtiyar H. Utshob. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Bakhtiyar H. Utshob. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Bakhtiyar H. Utshob|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 11:13, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to List of educational institutions in Savar. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 11:50, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning

[edit]

You were told above that you may not continue editing without responding regarding paid editing, yet have continued to do so. You have also acknowledged a conflict of interest, at the very least, regarding BKSP Public School & College (see [1]). COI editors should not directly create mainspace editors regarding their COI subjects; rather, to propose a new article, use the draft and articles for creation process. If you should once more attempt to create a mainspace article regarding this subject or move the draft to mainspace, you will be blocked from editing. You are also required to answer the above regarding paid editing. If your next edit is not an answer to that question, you will, similarly, be blocked. Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Administrators: if this block includes a Volunteer Response Team ticket number, this block was placed as part of the conflict of interest VRT queue and the user must not be unblocked without the express consent of a user with access to the queue.

Request reason:

I believe this block is a misunderstanding. I have not engaged in paid editing. My contributions were intended to improve article quality, and I will clarify any concerns.

Decline reason:

It seems fairly clear from your edits that, at the very least, you have a conflict of interest when it comes to some of the subjects you have edited, to the point where you don't seem able to maintain the neutral tone expected in an encyclopedia. This strongly suggests that you may have a financial interest here as well, possibly as an employee, as noted below. You were given several warnings and asked to discuss these matters before being blocked, but you ignored them. This unblock request is not a satisfactory explanation for your behavior and is declined. Beeblebrox Beebletalks 21:21, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

New posts to bottom, please. 331dot (talk) 09:12, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You acknowledged creating the logo of the school and apparently have the authority to release it under a free license(which can be unwise for a logo, but it's up to you). This means that you have some sort of relationship with the school, likely as an employee. That needs to be disclosed. 331dot (talk) 09:21, 13 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

If they did create it, that's a COI. If not, that's impersonation, which could be considered worse. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 06:40, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
