BKSP Public School and College (Bengali: বিকেএসপি পাবলিক স্কুল ও কলেজ) is an educational institution located on the outskirts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1986 by the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) to provide general education to its staff and the surrounding community.[1][2]
History
[edit]BKSP Public School and College was formally established on 1 January 1987, within the BKSP campus. Initially, it offered education from classes I to V and gradually expanded to include higher grades. Classes XI and XII were introduced in 2023.
The institution received Monthly Pay Order (MPO) approval at the lower secondary level on 1 October 1994 and at the secondary level on 30 March 2009. It is managed by a special committee, and its head is typically a senior official from the Bangladesh Army.[3]
Academics
[edit]The school operates both primary and secondary wings, achieving strong academic results. It has consistently reported high success rates in the PEC, JSC, and SSC examinations, including a significant number of students attaining GPA-5.
Campus
[edit]The campus is located in Zirani Bazar, Savar, Dhaka. It features a six-story academic building, additional tin-shaded classrooms, and a new six-story building under construction. Facilities include a playground, a canteen, and provisions for drinking water.[4]
