[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Zande people has been reverted.
Your edit here to Zande people was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://epauf.wordpress.com/2020/09/18/azande-post/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Hello, We think we did the right thing to add relevant info to reflect the true religion of the Azande. Though we didn't know how to add source of reference to the changed article.
Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Zande people, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 14:28, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Please revert back the article we added few minutes ago and the source of the information is here:

Thanks

Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Zande people have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.

XLinkBot and Materialscientist, You guys are overstepping and undermining us the Azande people right now by removing what we strongly believe are relevant to us. Please let's know if you know about us the Azande than we know about ourselves. Once again, below are genuine link to what we believe are relevant to our history not what was written by a Whiteman E.E Evans
https://epauf.wordpress.com/2020/09/18/azande-post/
Please re-add back what we did added and if you can't please stop reverting our article as you're just a contributor as we're. Thanks,
Azande Intellectuals
Sources
[edit]Sources have to be reliable blogs are very rarely considered to be. Theroadislong (talk) 16:00, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Alright, but what if a person have their own perception or relevant information he/she would like to add?
- You can't, Wikipedia has essentially no interest in anything you or I want to say about anything. It is only interested in what reliable sources have published about a subject. Theroadislong (talk) 16:12, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
Then that's totally unfair, because what was written by E.E. Evans Pritchard and other Whiteman are not true about the Azande. These is being humiliated, disaffirming and undermining who are the Azande as people.
- Our mission is to summarise what the most reliable sources say about any subject; we assess the reliability of the available sources by referring to our WP:RS guidelines. Fairness doesn't really come into it I'm afraid - obviously we don't want to defame or humiliate anyone, but it's not part of our mission to provide a platform for people who feel the existing scholarly literature is untrue or in some way demeaning. If you feel the published literature about the Azande people is wrong, you will inevitably feel the same way about our content. I'm sorry, since I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear, but it's just the way we work. Best GirthSummit (blether) 17:47, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
- One more point: Wikipedia is not here to right great wrongs. It's a dry encyclopedia. Righting great wrongs may be your mission, but Wikipedia only repeats what can be found in independent, reliable, published sources.--Quisqualis (talk) 19:09, 18 November 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Teahouse, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:34, 18 November 2020 (UTC)
