Paid editing
[edit]Based on this I gather you are editing Wikipedia to get paid. If that's the case, and I don't see how it's not, you are obliged to disclose that fact (See WP:PAID and WP:COIDISCLOSEPAY). Also you are not allowed to advertise your services on Wikipedia (WP:NOT). Kleuske (talk) 20:54, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- Please read and heed WP:PAID. There are likely things you must do before editing further. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:59, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Awaywithwords.ink. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Dan Poole, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:55, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
Thank you Theroadislong.
I’d made the disclosure so am I right in thinking that I just need to wait for the article to go through the Articles For Creation process (subst:submit) rather than putting it into the mainspace myself?
Sorry, I thought it was just the disclosure that was required - lots to take in when starting on Wiki! Any help/advice appreciated :)
