BINI docuseries

[edit]

I don’t know why it’s a film, yes it’s one hour long but official news sites and iWantTFC announced it as 3 part limited docuseries so it still counts as a TV series or a streaming television series. If it was a movie iWantTFC should have labeled is as an original movie not an original docuseries. 3 part meaning 3 episodes. Chapter 1 is the first episode. So it should be on television. Television can be streaming. 122.3.133.206 (talk) 14:33, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

While the terms "film" and "movie" are used interchangeably, they aren't exactly the same. "Film" is a broad term that includes all visual storytelling formats, like movies, documentaries, etc. So, calling something a "film" doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a "movie"; it just places it under the larger category of moving images.
As for the TV series aspect, Bini Chapter 1: Born To Win cannot be called a TV series. The first chapter is part of a larger docuseries but isn’t a series on its own, so it's more appropriate to refer to it as a documentary film. If the entire docuseries has a single umbrella term, then that term can be classified as a TV series. However, the individual chapters themselves align more closely with the structure of a documentary film. AstrooKai (Talk) 14:53, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If it's okay with you, I would like to invite some of the major active contributors to the documentary's article, @Borgenland, @Royiswariii, and the article creator, @Acrom12, for their input regarding this. I may be overlooking some aspects of this topic, so it would be good to get another opinion from other editors. AstrooKai (Talk) 15:02, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is a series of three full-length television documentary films of which only one part has been released. Any attempts to describe Part one as a one-item series is basically a joke. Borgenland (talk) 15:04, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On another note, I am also at this stage raising concerns about the notability of Part One, with the suggestion that it be overhauled and merged into the three-part series itself. Borgenland (talk) 15:06, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have been considering this too for some time now. But I still don't know what is the general term for this docuseries, because the two parts are called Bini Chapter 1: Born To Win and Bini Chapter 2: Here With You. No officially established term encompasses these parts, at least to my knowledge. AstrooKai (Talk) 15:15, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's similar to the article I created on Mr. McMahon (miniseries), though not the same genre of documentary. When I first created it, I titled it Mr. McMahon (documentary) because I'm a die-hard wrestling fan, lol. Later, an editor named 'Inpops' noted in the edit summary that it wasn't a movie but a documentary miniseries. They moved it to Mr. McMahon (miniseries) following WP:NCTV. I'm trying to say it doesn't mean 1 hour or more than 1 hour the documentary, it doesn't mean it's a movie.
P.S: difference of that docuseries, bini chapter 1 was distributed on iWantTFC and Mr. McMahon (miniseries) was on Netflix. Royiswariii Talk! 15:34, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again, @122.3.133.206! Per the input of both @Borgenland and @Royiswariii, the docuseries is indeed a series of television documentary films. I apologize for misunderstanding that part.
But since we're talking about Bini Chapter 1: Born To Win's inclusion under Bini videography#Film, the first chapter is indeed a documentary film and it is appropriate to have it placed under that section. If an article were to be made for the series itself (like Mr. McMahon made by Royiswariii as mentioned above), then that article would be the "series". I hope this clears up any confusion. Best regards, AstrooKai (Talk) 16:01, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Biniverse

[edit]

Hello! I've updated GBV with a summary of what happened last night, though I admit I am not at my best in adequately describing it now. If you can rewrite it in a more intelligible way I would highly appreciate it. Cheers! See [1] Borgenland (talk) 08:27, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Sure, I'll rewrite it, I just need to have a quick dinner then I'll get into it. AstrooKai (Talk) 10:24, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Borgenland! I have finished rewriting the paragraph. I tried my best in making sure that it flows naturally, but I may have introduced some issues with the prose, so please let me know! Feel free to also resolve any mistakes I have overlooked. AstrooKai (Talk) 11:37, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bini discography

[edit]

I think you can add an announced song like Blink Twice if it's official since other artists single discography gets updated once a new song is announce like Twice's discography or other American artists. You can either add a dash on each of the peak positions or make it TBA or to be released. But I see other artists discography wikis get updated once a new song is announced not when its released. You can change it when it's released already.

Example: Twice singles discography or Megan Thee Stallion discography 122.55.235.127 (talk) 05:44, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see. I apologize for my mistake. I have also checked for references from reliable sources and found the announcement to be relatively notable enough to be included. I will re-add them, as well as add a reference for it in accordance with Wikipedia:Verifiability.
Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience. AstrooKai (Talk) 06:06, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

DYK

[edit]

Hi AstrooKai! I just want to let you know that I added you on the author of Cherry on Top (Bini song) on DYK, if you don't mind. Royiswariii Talk! 02:55, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

That is noted, @Royiswariii. I'll take a look on it and see what I can help. AstrooKai (Talk) 09:16, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The DYK Reviewer Red-tailed Hawk suggests that the ALT1 of DYK nom that Cherry on Top was featured on the halftime show of NBA by the Clippers Spirit, the official dance team of Los Angeles Clippers?, should add this on Critical Reception. And they suggest to change the Critical Reception to Reception. (see the dyk nom) What do you think? Royiswariii Talk! 09:24, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite sure, since Reception sections are usually reserved for feedbacks from critics or professionals. You may want to ask other interested editors for this. AstrooKai (Talk) 09:57, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
