Non-free rationale for File:Logo nv gallery.svg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Logo nv gallery.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 04:20, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You added Template:Information to file's page which is helpful, but still insufficient. Please read through WP:FUR and add a non-free use rationale instead; you can write one out by hand, but using Template:Non-free use rationale logo is probably easier. However, adding a rationale still will not stop the file from being deleted per WP:F5 if it's not being used in at least one article (non-free content cannot be used in drafts per WP:NFCC#9). If by chance the file is deleted before the draft you're working on has been approved, don't panic; deleted files are not gone forever (they are only hidden from pubicy view) and can be restored at a later date per WP:REFUND if there are no other problems with the file's licensing.
Just for reference, permission of the copyright holder is not needed when you upload something as non-free content; it only matters if you upload something under a free license. So, if you can convince the copyright holder to give their WP:CONSENT to upload the file under such a license, then it's use would no longer be subject to Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. You need, however, to be really sure the copyright holder understands what giving their consent means in this context because once a file has been uploaded under a free license it cannot be canceled after the fact. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:22, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, ArpitDubey09, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Draft:NV Gallery, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms our use and policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:24, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the above template to your user talk page just on the chance that you might somehow be connected to NV Gallery in someway. The template comtains links to relevant pages that you should familiarize yourself with if you do have such a connection because they contain information which may help you avoid problems with Wikipedia. Conflict-of-interest editing is not something which is expressly prohibited by Wikipedia, but it is something which is highly discourage for good reason. So, the more you understand about Wikipedia's position regarding this type of editing the better off you'll be.
Since you're still working on a draft, you'll be given a little leeway and allowances will be made for any mistakes you might make; however, things will dramatically change if the draft you're working on is someday approved as an article. If you've got a specific questions about this, then you can ask them below or at WP:COIN. If none of this applies to you, then you might still want to look at the linked pages anyway because the information they contain is also useful for general editing purposes as well. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:32, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo nv gallery.svg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Logo nv gallery.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:34, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Concern regarding Draft:Nvgallery.com

[edit]

Information icon Hello, ArpitDubey09. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Nvgallery.com, a page you created, has not been edited in at least 5 months. Draft space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for article space.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion under CSD G13. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it. You may request userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available here.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. Bot0612 (talk) 16:02, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Nvgallery.com

[edit]

Hello, ArpitDubey09. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Nvgallery.com".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 08:22, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
