Speedy deletion nomination of Arindam Dey
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Arindam Dey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. [edit]Hello, I'm Dthomsen8. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Arindam Dey because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. You should not change my AWB corrections without a reason, but I will await the speedy deletion decision. DThomsen8 (talk) 15:22, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Arindam Dey, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Arindam Dey. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Drm310 (talk) 15:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Arindam Dey. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Aha... (talk) 15:56, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Arindam Dey. Kolbasz (talk) 16:02, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Arindam Dey. The article suffers from a lot of errors. One thing is that you are editing it yourself being the subject thus conflict of interest. Aha... (talk) 16:03, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Arindam_Dey shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
