No such thing as Sources
See WP:Referencing for beginners how to create properly formatted references and how to insert those into the relevant text so as to show up as superscripted references. David notMD (talk) 17:47, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- I see by your Archived Talk you are not a beginner, but comment applies - references, not "Sources". David notMD (talk) 17:55, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- @David notMD Hi, thank you for notifying me-I changed it (it seems like you forgot to after messaging me). Just so you understand, inline citations popular but it's not a guideline or policy. It is even less neccessary in drafts where the page's content is still being created and thus footnotes would constantly need to adapt. Apmh 19:25, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- All for naught unless the Speedy deletion is opposed. David notMD (talk) 20:06, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- @David notMD The subject's notable, the creator did a good job with having no promo writing. Deletion is just unneccessary. Suprising that it's an admin who's requesting it -- Apmh 20:40, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- You are mistaken, the draft Draft:Michael Leiters clearly gives zero indication of notability is poorly sourced, is promotional and is undisclosed paid editing. Theroadislong (talk) 21:02, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Theroadislong The draft is definitely not "unambiguously promotional" as required in CSD. There is definitely some weird writing but it can be fixed.
There are far more sources than just the 3 I put on there, and nontheless a lack of references is not a valid deletion criteria.
Also, how do you know that it is paid editing? Apmh 21:15, 2 June 2023 (UTC)

You can remove the Speedy deletion by removing the top line of the draft (has db-spam) in it. Will help if you also make an entry on the Talk page that you intend to improve the wording and add properly formatted references. Be aware that two of the three proposed references are to the McLaren website, hence not independent and not contributing to Wikipedia-notability. David notMD (talk) 22:16, 2 June 2023 (UTC)
