19th Amendment edit
Antony,
I changed a few words after discovering I missed a couple of amendments. The amendments are not digitized yet, so I cannot cite them from the catalog. They are in the process of being digitized and I will follow their progress to update it. In the meantime, can you please replace the paragraph with the edits I made on the talk page. Thank you and I look forward to getting the rest of the amendments added to the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EDinschel (talk • contribs) 20:13, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Single subject amendment. DYK nomination of Kings River Viaduct
Hello! Your submission of Kings River Viaduct at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Tim1965 (talk) 22:54, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
- Just for future reference: The DYK rules say that the sentences which contain the facts used in the hook have to have a citation at the end of the sentence which support those facts. So, while you had a great inline citation at the end of the paragraph, that citation also needed to be at the end of the sentence which contained the facts about 1861 and 1867. I know it seems a minor point, and it looks aesthetically unpleasing, but there it is. Anyway, I fixed it. - Tim1965 (talk) 13:49, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
DYK for Kings River Viaduct

Antony-22, I wasn't sure whether you'd seen that the nominator replied to your latest review post for this DYK. When you get a chance, please take a look. Many thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:38, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delay, I've been moving all last week. I'll try to get to it tonight. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 17:21, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
- Antony-22, please give this your earliest attention, or let me know if another reviewer needs to be found. Thank you. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:22, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'm waiting for new hooks. I'd recommend some myself, though that would require another reviewer to approve them. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 04:48, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Antony-22, a new hook has been suggested. Thanks. BlueMoonset (talk) 06:45, 19 October 2016 (UTC)

Harvard course project
Hi, Antony! I'm a sophomore at the College. I've been editing for a few years, but have never observed a WikiEd project up close. I'm taking a grad seminar at the moment, and the professor heard from a colleague that Phloem needs work. She's interested in having students improve it, but doesn't know where to start. Would you be interested in meeting with me (or her, but I haven't checked her availability) over coffee or during a lunch break to chat abut possible assignments or considerations? If so, shoot me an email! Best, FourViolas (talk) 00:07, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
- @FourViolas: I'm no longer located in Boston, but the Wiki Ed Foundation has a lot of experience supporting professors using Wikipedia as a class assignment. I'd suggest contacting them at contact@wikiedu.org . If you also want to talk to someone local, I'd try posting at Wikipedia talk:Meetup/Boston. Hope this is helpful! Presidential Write-In Audit
Have you perchance done any other States besides the ones that Laurence and Rocky were on at the time? I'm asking because with Laurence being on in California that puts him at (214), and a few other States have been added since. Same with Rocky, though California was counted before. --Ariostos (talk) 23:40, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Ariostos: I've been looking at Ballotpedia—go to https://ballotpedia.org/Ballot_access_requirements_for_presidential_candidates_in_STATE#Write-in_requirements and there will be a reference to the relevant state law. After that, I went to the state election website or to Google to see if I could find an actual list of electors. If you can dig up any more elector lists, that would be great. To be honest, the elector-slate method of filtering write-ins doesn't seem to have much support this cycle, but it's kind of been grandfathered in for now. Thanks for creating List of crossings of the Los Angeles River. I'm concerned that the photos don't seem to line up with the crossings. I want to add photos of the 26th Steet Bridge and Alhambra Bridge but I'm not sure where to place them. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 09:51, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- I've been sticking in photos with multiple bridges spanning all the bridges that they picture. I'm not sure if that's a really good idea or if they should go into a separate gallery. In any case, the table says that the current 26th St. Bridge was built in 2000, so that picture is likely of a prior bridge on the site. Still encyclopedic, but probably shouldn't go in the table as it's not the current bridge. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 09:57, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- Perhaps a section for historic crossings too? Magnolia677 (talk) 10:02, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- This was probably the Alhandra rail bridge. I'll add a note on the talk page with a link to the photos. I'm not familiar with the area but maybe someone with expertise might find a place for these former bridges. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:11, 3 November 2016 (UTC)

Protein structure
Part of a series of articles on |
Protein structure |
---|
Hi, I notice you did the massive reorganisation of Biomolecular structure back in 2010. I never saw what the content was like before, but I really like the consistency. I recently made a new lead image ({{Protein structure}}) to replace File:Protein_structure.png. One thing, the Protein primary structure page is still largely on post-transnational modifications and non-native amino acids. I'll have a go at improving it, but any assistance would be appreciated! T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 12:49, 5 November 2016 (UTC)
- I'm glad you're taking on this article! It looks like there's an existing separate subarticle on Post-translational modification, so a lot of that information can be migrated into the subarticle.
- Good job on the navbox, it's a lot more visually appealing than the old one. I have a few suggestions. First, it takes up a bit too much space on the article. Standard sideboxes are 22em wide which is about 280px, but your image is 350px wide. I'd recommend reducing it to the standard width, which means that you may want to increase the relative size of the internal text so it's still visible. Second, it would be nice to make it more obvious that it's clickable, since the icon at lower left is easy to miss. Perhaps wrapping it in a navbox header might work, what do you think about something like the revised version at right?. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 04:43, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
- Ah, great idea!. I've updated the template formatting, and I'll fix up the text size etc tomorrow. T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 10:59, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
- Actually, in the end, I've gone for a compromise solution. I've implemented the smaller siize, with lasrger text and clarified the caption, but it's still formatted as an image. The reason being that I think it is primarily an image that can also be used for navgation, rather than a navbox that happens to contain images. Perhaps a little pedantic, but I think your suggestions improved it immensely! T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 00:06, 8 November 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for asking ArbCom candidate questions
Hi Antony-22! I just wanted to drop a quick note of thanks to you for asking the ArbCom candidates a standard set of questions about their views on incivility and harassment. Civility on Wikipedia is important to me, and these answers are helpful to me for figuring out who to vote for. Dreamyshade (talk) 03:38, 28 November 2016 (UTC)
- @Dreamyshade: No problem! Incivility and harassment were big, big issues last time, but Arbcom has had a slow year and there weren't a whole lot of questions about it this time around. I still think it's an important issue to ask about. Antony–22 (talk⁄contribs) 04:55, 30 November 2016 (UTC)
