Yankee power deletion
- Hi, you just deleted my page http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Yankee_power Anyway I could get some help as to how not to have this happen again. I submitted the article at first not reading the rules, but was editing the page while it was deleted with more information. If the page has more detailed info and is notable should this not happen again? Jackan0uff (talk) 09:33, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Jackan0uff
- It was speedy-deleted as "not notable". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:14, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Jonas Brothers Change for the Children Foundation
- This page was just deleted for not indicating importance or significance - which isn't true. This page will be linked off of the Jonas Brothers wikipedia main page as their new initiative and foundation for children. It's not promotional - but merely an avenue of information for people to come to and find out the facts about the foundation. There is a lot more information that needs to be added, for I am aware that it seemed a bit vague and short. Could you please put the page back up so it can be put to good use?
Thank you Arazara (talk) 14:03, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- The page is Jonas Brothers Change For The Children Foundation. I could undelete it and AfD it, but the result of that AfD would certainly be "delete as not notable". There are thousands of small charities. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:14, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- This foundation is starting small but is going to be part of a bigger thing. The Jonas Brothers have a huge following and this information will be very valuable to the public as well as an asset for wikipedia to have for the public to come to. I am rewriting the article now so that it fits in better with Wikipedia standards and seems more significant. I appreciate your honesty. Arazara (talk) 15:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
- If this foundation becomes big and notable, someone will write an article about it. Wikipedia is not an advertizing billboard. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:26, 1 July 2008 (UTC):
Thanks for taking a look at these. I couldn't figure out what had been cut/pasted/moved/redirected where - it looked like a mess to me, glad it really wasn't! – ukexpat (talk) 01:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
Deletion Young Photographers United
- Hi, you deleted my page about Young Photographers United. It was seen as advertising but I don't know why as it is a non-profit organisation that helps young photographers. Could you help me out? Are there parts I need to rewrite? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! --Wendy228 (talk) 15:23, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- If Young Photographers United becomes big and notable, someone will write an article about it. Wikipedia is not an advertizing billboard. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 18:10, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- I hope you reconsider the deletion as Young Photographers United is the only network for young photographers worldwide of this size. YPU is in contact with 300 photography schools and 2000 photography tutors. Each year, 2000 emerging photographers worldwide apply of which YPU selects the 50 best. It has a database of 10000 photographers.--Wendy228 (talk) 13:33, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Unprotect duck
- Howdy, you semi-protected duck on January 8, 2008. Due to the significant amount of time that has passed (over 6 months), can you please unprotect it? Thanks. 71.231.177.64 (talk) 19:42, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- While page duck was unprotected, nearly all its edits for long periods were vandalisms and reverts for vandalism. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 08:10, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Deletion Run cactus kid run
- Hi, you deleted the entry for Run cactus kid run. This wasn't intended as part of a campaign but rather to form the beginnings of a case study about the campaign. At Coca-Cola we have a long standing commitment to responsible marketing and as per UK regulations we referenced that Oasis is behind the story of this character. We intend to add to this article as the campaign progresses so that it can work as a case study for non-traditional marketing practices, which could be used as part of academic study into marketing campaigns of this nature. Many marketing professionals and academic institutions use these case studies to understand marketing practices better. Examples of these articles and case studies include Artificial intelligence (AI), Halo 3, Dark Knight (film), I Love Bees and Monkey (advertising character).
- If you think it will be better received, we will change the opening line of copy to read "‘Run Cactus Kid Run’ is an advertising campaign for Oasis (drink), a soft drink brand, based in the UK". Any other recommendations you have would be greatly received. People are requesting information on a case study of this sort, so a prompt response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oasis Run Cactus Kid Run (talk • contribs) 09:00, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- I could undelete Run cactus kid run and AfD it, but the verdict of that AfD could certainly be "delete". If the Cactus Kid fictional scenario becomes big and notable, someone independent will likely write an article about it. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:08, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

"Dumpweed" move
I don't understand. I thought we were supposed to reach a consensus first before moving it back/keeping it the way it is. It says "If, after a few days, a clear consensus for the page move is reached", but we never reached a consensus...Thanks. Fantasy Dragon (talk) 17:11, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Possibly complicated histmerge needed
Regarding the proposal at Talk:KMEZ#Requested move, I've pieced together which edits should belong to which article for each station (as stated there), but need someone to take care of the histories. As you seem to be the lucky guy I always see doing histmerges, I was hoping you could help out? Thanks! JPG-GR (talk) 23:54, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for all of that! JPG-GR (talk) 05:05, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Move of Get Like Me
- Hello! Thank you for moving this article, but you made a slight error in the process. Per the consensus developed on the talk page, it should have been moved to Get Like Me, rather than Get like Me. I would make that move, but the new page exists as a redirect to the old article. Thanks! --InDeBiz1 (talk) 21:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!
As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:03, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Rapid transit mess
- what was going on here? why were there multiple moves, splits and merges? Simply south (talk) 17:14, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
- Page Rapid transit and others had a history of cut-and-paste moves down the years, which needed to be sorted out, as per request by User:Cmjc80 in http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Cut_and_paste_move_repair_holding_pen&oldid=224446287#New_requests . Edit warring
- Please do not accuse me of edit warring when I haven't visited that page in something like 3 months. -mattbuck (Talk) 10:00, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry. I was circulating everybody who had edited Talk:Scrubs. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:31, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- I'm with Matt. In the past I've worked to maintain the quality of the Scrubs page and help to ensure it follows WP guidelines, but never have I engaged in an edit war over the topic. Similarly to Matt, since the commotion with that topic began I have refrained from editing it. I understand that your intent was honest, but in the future you might want notify people with something such as: "In the past you have edited the article X. There's currently a discussion about redirecting this article. You may contribute to this discussion by commenting at X." It would probably go over better than accusing people of edit warring. ;-) --NormanEinstein (talk) 16:06, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, you weren't 'circulating' everyone who had edited Talk:Scrubs. Because according to my own edit history, I've never edited that page. Perhaps blanket 'warnings' to everyone who has had anything to do with a page is not the best method for getting your message across. Guilt by association is not how Wikipedia works, is it? -Sapph42 (talk) 01:33, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Okai
A tag has been placed on Okai requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Goochelaar (talk) 21:44, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi Anthony; you posted a comment about an article I re edited. Sloan Bella- really the real person is of no importance, then neither is an psychic listed on wikipedia. Images tagged db-nonsense
Hello! Thanks for your concerning, but if you notice it better those images are in Commons, so what is for deletion is the image page of an Commons-hosted image, having only nonsense information and one only edition. As the image is on Commons, deleting the page helps prevent the reversion to nonsense information. I hope that I made it clear for you. Regards, Sdrtirs (talk) 05:41, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Image without license
Unspecified source for Image:Aa fitzcarraldo ship.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Aa fitzcarraldo ship.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:46, 20 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Guns N' Roses
- Please move Guns n' Roses back to Guns N' Roses; when the issue has been raised in the past, the capitalized N won out. If a new consensus is formed in favor of the lowercase n, then it should be moved, but until then, it should remain at Guns N' Roses. Wilhelm II move warring
- As closing admin on the recent requested move, we need your help. Another user came along and moved the article from Wilhelm II, German Emperor (the result of consensus) to Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany without discussion. Then another user moved to Wilhelm II of Germany (still not back to the agreed upon name), and left the talk page at Talk:Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, so now we have a real mess. I can't fix any of it, because I am not an admin, so I am turning to you, as the closing admin, to enforce the result of the naming discussion. Can we also protect the article from further move warring? Thanks! Wilhelm meis (talk) 23:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

"Someone to Watch Over Me"
- I'm about to wash my hands of this craziness, but before I go, what exactly was your rationale for moving the "Someone to Watch Over Me" articles to the incorrect "Someone to Watch over Me", since this is not the correct capitalization of them? Ed Fitzgerald (unfutz) (talk / cont) 06:55, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. Just to let you know, I've reversed your move of the above article(s), as it was against both consensus and common usage. The naming conventions at WP:NC do not normally apply to the titles of films, books, songs etc, which are rendered where feasible according to the author's original intent. This has been a contentious issue recently with another editor, with the current usage ('Over' rather than 'over') discussed on both the article talk page and enforced as a result of an ANI thread. I hope you don't mind my move back ;) All the best, EyeSerenetalk 07:43, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Regarding your deletion of NOZA, Inc.
- Hello, Anthony - I just noticed that in June you deleted an article I started on NOZA, Inc., a for-profit company that provides a search engine and donor database (27,000,000 records) used specifically by nonprofits. You wrote, "If I undeleted and AfD'd NOZA, Inc., it would likeliest get the verdict "delete". Wikipedia is not a directory of charities. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:54, 15 June 2008 (UTC)" But NOZA isn't a charity, it's a company. The article was a company article, referenced, etc. I would appreciate it if you could give me any helpful suggestions re this article. I missed the discussion. Thanks, Leoniana (talk) 17:33, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- It was deleted as advertizing. If NOZA becomes big and notable, someone independent and neutral will likely write an article about NOZA. Until then, see Wikipedia:Spam. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 18:02, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hello, this is a continuation of my query re the deletion of the article on NOZA, Inc. that I started. (Please let me know if there's a more appropriate place to discuss this). On one of the Wikipedia pages regarding guidelines for deletion: "it is generally considered courteous to notify the good-faith creator and any main contributors of the articles that you are nominating for deletion." I started the article in good faith but wasn't notified. I would have been happy to point out that I referenced "Social Edge," a program produced by the Skoll Foundation and broadcast on public radio stations nationwide; a news article from a Calif. newspaper, and an article published in "The Nonprofit Times," a reputable publication that's been in business for over 20 years. Suggestions? Thanks, Leoniana (talk) 18:38, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:SPLICE
- Hi. Thanks for fixing my comment with the correct template. Just having a question. :) I don't follow WP:SPLICE regularly so I'm unsure about this; aren't graphics discouraged in general because they slow down the page load time? I think splitting the requests into two sections (Queried/Completed) makes things quite clear. So what is the purpose of using graphic templates on this page? --PeaceNT (talk) 13:48, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

KUPIKA article deletion
Greetings, this is a request for reconsideration of your speedy deletion of the article on the social-networking site, Kupika.com
Kupika.com is a significant micro-social networking website with an international membership and over 100,000 profiles created in just the two years since 2006 when it was created.
I believe that it is comparable to other micro-social networking sites currently granted articles such as:
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Advogato http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Nabuur http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Zude
Perhaps some adjustment to the article's format might help better focus the importance of the site and if so any direction on that would be helpful.

I undid your move of this page to "Freedom from Religion Foundation". "From" (Uppercase F) is the correct name of the organisation (according to their website) and should not be edited for grammar. Fanx (talk) 15:08, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- Why did you move that article without discussion? Just because someone [2] cites a non-policy. The name of the article has been discussed extensively on talk pages for over a year, and current consensus is that the article is named "Novak Djokovic" per WP:UE. Please move back. --HJensen, talk 17:01, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- It was listed as uncontroversial in Wikipedia:Requested moves. OK, I will move it back. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:58, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- Anthony, your changes to the 'Cases for possible inventors of radio' section make it look much better, I was going to ask for ideas for the formatting, however, I would question one thing - your sorting onto alphabetical order. I would suggest that the order should be chronological based on their best claim. My idea was that no one could claim a 'first' that had already been claimed, for example, Ward gets the first patent, even though it was a crackpot idea. What do you think?
Can you answer any of my questions on the talk page?
RegardsMartin Hogbin (talk) 14:26, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- OK, put that table into date order, if you can find all the dates. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:26, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Should each person be in the table once only? Many have multiple claims.Martin Hogbin (talk) 15:37, 3 August 2008 (UTC) An alternative would be to add a date column.Martin Hogbin (talk) 15:37, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- If it is more complicated than one claim each, best give each claimant a paragraph in the article. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 16:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Pressure suit image
Hi:
Hope you dont mind but I made a small change in the picture with the pressure suit page. The suit shown is actually a English pilots immersion suit and NBC mask, not a pressure suit. The suit is worn when ever a pilot may be flying over water to protect him incase he has to ditch in the water. - Men forming the right side of the wedge: shield on right arm held at an angle facing partly right, baton in left hand.
- At the point: one man holding his shield facing straight forwards.

Hello Anthony
Yes, this is largely how police would carry out such a tactic, although within the British police - if that is what you are trying to model your image on? Only very highly trained officers would be able to carry out the wedge, such as the Met Polices Territorial Support Group or outside of London, the Support unit. I have seen in one of my many books on police, that sometimes they operate in a double wedge like such: ">>" where the first line of officers in the wedge carry heavy perspex head to toe shields to stop projectiles, and the second line in the wedge the officers carry batons and a smaller circular shield. So the answer to your question is that many different forces, basically have many different training tactics in riot control, although your interpretation of it is one of the most common - so I do not see what not you should proceed. Any further questions, I would be happy to try my best to help =]! All the best, Police,Mad,Jack (talk · contribs)☺ 19:23, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

- Hi Anthony,
- I noticed that you deleted The Ringleader and quoted this deletion discussion for justification. As you did not mention the recreation of the page, I assume that you were unaware of this discussion which occured after the initial deletion of the article. The article was originally deleted because it failed to establish notability through the citation of independent sources. After discussing this issue with Chillum, I recreated the article in a way that fixed this problem, establishing notability through independent source citation. If you still felt that the article needed to be deleted, another deletion discussion should have been initiated. Would you mind recreating the article?
- Thank you, Neelix (talk) 11:59, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- (The two links in User:Neelix's message hereinabove are Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Ringleader: Mixtape Volume III (an AfD) and User talk:Chillum/Archive 16#The Ringleader: Mixtape Volume III.)
- Page The Ringleader when I deleted it is much the same as The Ringleader: Mixtape Volume III when deleted by the AfD. If I undeleted and AfD'ed The Ringleader, the verdict would likeliest be "delete" again. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 18:35, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Anthony,
- I do not understand how this can be so. The original article was deleted for lack of sourcing. The article I created was sourced by five independent album reviews. This album was the major turning point in the career of DJ Maj; it is certainly notable. If the sources I have already provided do not convince you, I can add more. Either way, the article should be recreated so that the deletion discussion, if you wish to initiate one, might be made public.

- I was hoping to work on this article over time. This is a notable subject, an extension of a very important subject The Secret of the Golden Flower. If my approach was incorrect, I'd like the opportunity to amend it. I thought it was being saved in a private area so I could come back to it, add references, and slowly get it into shape. As an experienced editor, i wonder if you could give me some pointers about how to approach the material so as to conform to requirements. - You recently moved this article in response to a request to disambiguate it. An ip listed it for prod, and as fictional character articles of this sort are indeed nowadays often considered not sustainable, and I saw little content hat was not in the main article on the series, I changed it to a redirect. But I see the article has been here a long time, and the other main characters in the series also have articles. I don't know the series at all, so i'd like another opinion on what should be done here. If you think I was wrong, just revert me. Otherwise maybe the other articles too should be changed to redirects. (as you probably know, I often support such articles, so I'm a little surprised to find myself taking an opposite view on this) DGG (talk) 03:28, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

This abum should not be moved under capitalized After, for the same reasons we don't rewrite the idiosyncratic capitalization when reprinting E.E. Cummings' poetry, whose own name is improperly downcased by overzealous people. who don't know any better (he never did in his life in formal contexts and indicated his wishes that normal capitalization be used in published credit context). In any case, capitalizing prepositions in English is a matter of conflicting conventions, best handled by specific house rules. See capitalization for more background on this curiousum. "Uncontroversial" move
- You moved List of World Eight-ball champions to List of World Eight-ball Champions as an "uncontroversial move". Hardly uncontroversial though, since this is the second time this move has been done, the first time by the same person who requested this uncontroversial move now. I have replied on my talk, with examples showing that this is not so straight-forward at all, and that while perhaps my end result wsa not the best, the current one isn't supported either. - This page was recommended for speedy deletion {{db-club}}, i.e. "This page may meet Wikipedia’s criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a group or club that does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject.". As it seems that you may be the subject of the article, I should point that Wikipedia is not an advertizing service: see Wikipedia:Spam. If the group Simulation123 becomes big and notable, then someone independent will likely write an article about it. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:53, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
- I would like to inform you that I am not the subject of the article, I am an academic member of the group that I was writing about. That is just the username I chose as this was my first article, and it was convenient. I am surprised to learn that I am prohibited from writing articles in Wikipedia related to my username. I am not trying to advertise the usergroup, merely provide information about it. There are many user groups that have descriptions written about them in Wikipedia. I would also argue that the Simulation123 group is big and notable, with over 70 academic members worldwide. This is not an exclusive group, it is a free special interest group that anybody can join to support each other, so the group faces the problem that there will be no description written about it, as people who come across the group who would potentially write an article about it in Wikipedia would also join the group, meaning that they are no longer independent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Simulation123simulation123 (talk • contribs) 12:12, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Move
- Hello! I noticed that you moved the articles Louis De Geer (1818-1896) and Louis De Geer (1854-1935), adding their middle names ("Louis Gerhard" and "Gerhard Louis" respectively) to the mew titles. I saw you added the reason "req" in both cases, so I assume this was requested by another user and not on your initiative. However, I think the basis for the moves are wrong. Both of them were commonly known as "Louis De Geer" - with the middle names only added only seldom - and both had the same main profession (politicians). Therefor I think the birth/death years are the only good way to disambiguate, as non-used middle names should generally be avoided in titles. Thanks. /Slarre (talk) 15:51, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Vbrick Systems
Anthony,
Thanks for your help with this because I'm a new user and a little confused. My page was deleted for blatant advertising. I understand the reason for this and agree but I thought that my "user page" was a place for experimentation and would not appear in the encyclopedia. I had planned to work on this article over time and remove any suggestion of advertising. The text on the page was simply boilerplate that I pasted as a test. I haven't worked on the page in about a month, and when I went back, it was gone.
Please correct me if I am wrong. If I understand this correctly, when I create a new page from my user space and click "Save," that page is immediately published in the encyclopedia? Is that true? I somehow thought that my user page was not published and that there was a distinction between user pages and regular encyclopedia pages. It says in the User page help that "It is also a good place for experimenting with markup (that is, as a personal sandbox)." What am I misunderstanding. Is there no difference between a user page and a regular encyclopedia page?
In any event, I would like to create a page for VBrick Systems that explains, among other things, their patented, innovative work in creating video compression algorithms for the streaming media industry.
Please re-post my page and I will immediately remove any self-promoting text. Or let me know how I should proceed. I have great respect for Wikipedia and have no intention of violating the letter or spirit of the guidelines.
Thanks, Stan Adamchek Sadamchek (talk) 14:07, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Regrettably, page VBrick Systems is written like an advertisement. I could undelete it and AfD it (= call a discussion about whether it should be deleted), but the verdict would certainly be "delete". See WP:NPOV. - In July, 2007 you deleted the newly created page for Curriculum Associates, Inc. This company, of which I am a founder, has been publishing highly regarded instructional and assessment materials for k-12 classrooms since 1969. It was tagged for speedy-deletion as advertisement and not-notable: see WP:NPOV and WP:NN and Wikipedia:Deletion process. Some would say that the best policy is to wait, and if the firm Curriculum Associates becomes big and notable, then someone independent of the firm will write a Wikipedia page about it. If you feel that particular other articles are advertisement and not "neutral point of view", please list their names here, in [[double square brackets]] so they show as blue links. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:27, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, Anthony. If you will kindly undelete it, I will re-edit it to remove any text that is not factual. The company is not as large as Scholastic or Houghton-Mifflin, to be sure, but it IS highly regarded among professional educators for the quality of its publications, in the special education arena in particular, and in the Title-I community for disadvantaged youth, and, after 39 years, and annual sales of about $30 million, it is not by any means a garage operation. If you're interested, check out the web site: www.CAInc.com and the Professional Development section in particular. Thanks. Frankatca (talk) 01:54, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

GReeeeN move to Greeeen
Many thanks for your recent help moving GReeeeN to Greeeen in accordance with the manuals of style regarding Japanese articles. I'd like to bring it to your attention that User:Ryulong recently reverted your work. I have since moved the article back to Greeeen, but it may well be worth your while keeping an eye on this, or even preventing the article from being moved for the time being. I've seen how fanatical some users can be in their insistence of capitalisation used in marketing, regardless of the manual of style guidelines... --Lets Enjoy Life (talk) 13:01, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
==Image source problem with Image:Riotsquad helmet.jpg==
Thanks for uploading Image:Riotsquad helmet.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:58, 18 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:58, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

- Hello. In reference to this - I requested a move two months ago, no one commented, and no action was taken. It doesn't seem especially controversial, but should I try relisting it? Biruitorul Talk 15:51, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

On article Sholiyarkal
- Dear Mr. Appleyard. it has been noted that groups intending to spread misinformation and lies have used wikipedia well. The article on "iyers" (pls explain the meaning of this word and its origin) and its various subsects (again rubbish and libelious non-sense), clearly proves that the entire work up is a trash. Let me tell you that there has been no such thing called "tamil brahmin" or ethnic "tamil" as "people" understand the term now. all these partisanship has been late medieval age concotion of vested interests. It is very very interesting to note here that many of those who claim to be "brahmins"(numerous sects of the same actually sramanas(buddists and jains) of past) now may not have been so. So you were right in questioning as to if the word iyer could be confused with word liar. 13:16, 22 September 2008 User:Sree mrida

WP:MOSDAB
Hi Anthony,
I read some of the disambiguation pages you have created/edited and I wanted to direct you to WP:MOSDAB. I normally wouldn't criticize, but I know that you create a fair number of disambiguation pages and that you want to write them well. Specifically, you might want to read about linking to a primary topic and writing an introductory line. The individual entries section talks about how the link should be the first word or phrase in each entry, and how external links should never be included. Also, standard practice is to only divide disambiguation pages into sections with section headings when there are approximately thirty entries or more. Please don't take this as a judgement on your work. I just wanted to pass on some constructive criticism where I thought it might help.
I've been meaning to thank you for all the work you've been doing with the requested moves for a while now. It seems like every time I submit a request there, you quickly take care of the situation. I really appreciate it.

Boating Page edits
- Please stay out of areas for which you are not a domain expert or I will have to report your vandalism.
- According to your perspective, all of the following pages/links would be removed as well:
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Boating_magazine - a page which lists many boating "Magazines"
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Satirical_magazines - links to Satirical "Magazines"
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Boating_Life - a boating magazine
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sea_History_(magazine) - a boating magazine
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Lakeland_Boating - another boating magazine
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Miss_GEICO - an ad for Gieco Insurance?
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Computer_magazine - a list of internal and external links to PC "Magazines"
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Sports_photography - external links to photographers selling "Sports Photography"
- http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Offshore_powerboat_racing - links to external websites and boating "Magazines"
- I have never edited some of these pages.
- With Boating magazine, all that I did was this: Boating magazine contained a link to Extreme Boats Magazine. Page Extreme Boats Magazine was speedy-delete-tagged as "advertizing" and "non-notable group", so I deleted Extreme Boats Magazine, and replaced the link to it in Boating magazine by a copy of the external link which was in page Extreme Boats Magazine. - Her Majesty the Decemberists was a redirect to Her Majesty (Decemberists album). Her Majesty the Decemberists's edit record is:
- 02:29, 24 September 2008 . . User:Nophilip (63 bytes) (Redirected page to Her Majesty (Decemberists album)) [At this edit he inserted the speedy-delete tag {{db-redirtypo}}]
- 02:27, 24 September 2008 . . User:Nophilip (46 bytes) (moved Her Majesty the Decemberists to Her Majesty (Decemberists album): The actual title of the album is just Her Majesty, not Her Majesty the Decemberists. It is listed as such on the band's website.)

A Consensus on Yahweh on Tetragrammaton article:
Hi Anthony. A warning is going around about two users, SkyWriter (Tim) and - LisaLiel who have - though warned not to - adamantly defended their right to change material that has been agreed on by those contributing to articles. I have noticed that several members have contributed to the YHWH article and feel that you could discuss this further with Lisa and restore the article of consensus. This warning has gone to several other [members]. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Kurdle12 (talk) 11:38, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
Hello Anthony! Keep up the good work! Sadly, I notice that LisaLiel keeps trying to delete the quote, but don't give up. Your input on the preservation of a sound article YHWH is much appreciated. Many members have tried to talk to the these two disruptive members, but they continue to delete the article of consensus. Kght (talk) 16:51, 2 October 2008 (UTC) Again, I've warned them of such disruptive conduct [[3]] but they don't seem to be paying attention. Kght (talk) 17:05, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

- It's worded fine. It couldn't be worded more better in terms of balance. Only you and Lisa have a problem with it. Why, perhaps your trying to push your own agendas forward too heavily. Thanks for the work Athony. I've been trying really hard to stop these vandals from doing any more damage to the article. Kght (talk) 18:34, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
