Amit Tiwari

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Amit Tiwari, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Tikiwont 12:45, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Radio Playback India, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:08, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Anni in. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Radio Playback India".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Radio Playback India}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:01, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Garjiya Temple Ramnagar.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hello, I'm FAdesdae378. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Subhash Singh (politician), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! FAdesdae378 (talk · contribs) 02:29, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Anni in! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Subhash Singh (politician) that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Devidatt Pant moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Devidatt Pant, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dan arndt (talk) 04:47, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have added reference link of Govt. of India site which is in Hindi. Feel free to use google translator. I will be adding more details in coming days with more references and pictures Anni in (talk) 05:04, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
His details were never published by previous government and it will be difficult to find online references. However old news paper cuttings should be available. I have contacted his family members. His sons were professors, Army Colonel , Indian Scientist and Doctors and I know all of them personally.
Can you help me what is the wikipedia policy if online reference is not available? What are other acceptable references? Anni in (talk) 05:09, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the feedback. Please advise what else can be added. There is limited info available online. He died in 1982 and that time India media was not mature enough. Internet only came in India in 1995. I have fiven reference of books, Indian Government website, His picture with second prime minister's wife, his death news in one of the Hindi news paper. I will really appreciate if you can guide. Anni in (talk) 02:19, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Since the newspaper clipping is in Hindi, I asked ChatGPT to translate it into English. I’m sharing the translation here as proof that Shri Devi Pant was indeed a freedom fighter.
I’ve uploaded the translated image to my Google Drive for reference since I couldn’t attach it here: Google Drive Link.
As someone who has been an active contributor to Wikipedia since 2007, I strongly advocate for preserving and sharing accurate information. It is disheartening that unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle, like Devidutt Pant, are often overlooked simply because there wasn’t enough media presence at the time. Back then, most media was either limited or under government control.
These forgotten figures deserve a place in history, and I believe their contributions should be documented on platforms like Wikipedia to ensure their legacy lives on. Anni in (talk) 02:33, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please refrain from using ChatGPT in creating content on Wikipedia. see WP:CHATGPT for more info. Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 04:59, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ChatGPT was not used. This is my own writing. What triggers it as a ChatGPT content? Anni in (talk) 05:05, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also content is taken from the book 'Pt. Devidutt Pant – Among Rare Gandhians.' Anni in (talk) 05:08, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You still use chatgtp in translating it. Which can result in hallucination of content and possibly violation of no original research policy Warm Regards, Miminity (Talk?) (me contribs) 05:09, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As stated earlier chatgpt is not used. Content is taken from the book and written Anni in (talk) 17:22, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anni in. Thank you for your work on Khantoli. Another editor, Dcotos, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Always use government official census, as reliable source.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Dcotos}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Dcotos (talk) 06:03, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much. Though I am here for a long I am still learning. I saw your profile. Impressive. Since this is a small village in Uttrakhand there is not much info available on Govt sites. My goal is to bring every small village of India on the Wiki so world should know about them.
Picture you added is for Kanda village which is around 45 KM from Khantoli. I have contacted locals to send me pictures of village.
There is still 'This article needs additional or more specific categories.'
Can you guide what else is needed?
Also can you help me on Devidutt Pant page? How to remove issues?
Is it ok if I contact you to guide me in the future?
Thank you again. Anni in (talk) 06:10, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also I have added population details from https://www.census2011.co.in/ Anni in (talk) 06:14, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Anni in census2011 is not a reliable source, you should cite population data from Indian government official website with reference, this may help. https://censusindia.gov.in/census.website/ Dcotos (talk) 16:20, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Anni in This WikiProject page, Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian villages, may help you with structure, and you can create an article with all available reliable news references. Always cite official government census data, as unsourced and non-official census information may lead the article to delay getting reviewed.
For now, I would suggest that you should practice and understand basic Wikipedia guidelines and start from small edits, like Fix spelling, grammar, and tone and improving existing articles on Indian villages list. Then you may start creating new articles with some experience and you are free to remove that image and may add a new one. Best wishes. Happy editing! Dcotos (talk) 16:58, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I was able to find https://censusindia.gov.in/census.website/data/population-finder You have to search for the village name to get the data Anni in (talk) 17:24, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Citations have been added. I am also a native of the region and a historian, so I am well-versed in the origins and history. I recommend referring to Kumaon Ka Itihas for more details. Many notable individuals, like Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant (former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh), were from Uttarakhand. It's important to note that not all information is available everywhere. Wikipedia is a reliable source of information, and removing the truth based on one person's opinion will harm its credibility. Anni in (talk) 14:55, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
