Independent Notability.

Looking at your organization, I can understand why you have issues showing independent notability. Your group is unlikely to be covered in the "Washington Post" or similar newspapers. What I would suggest is mentions in industry and government newsletters that talk about your group. For example the Marine Mammal Commission Newsletter at http://myemail.constantcontact.com/MMC-Newsletter--Spring-2017.html?soid=1119223236081&aid=d_WNrcAgKmI might be one for the NAAFE.
