Hi! I've seen you added AK-630 and Barak-8 in the armament list of the ship. But IMO none of the two exist on the ship as of now..do they!? Morever, the Barak version to be used will be Barak-8ER(LR-SAM) while Barak-8 is MR-SAM. It is not expected to be in service until 2014-2015 so I feel it's a little premature to add them but adding a (future) tag should suffice. What say? Cheers, ƬheStrikeΣagle sorties 15:46, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
- Sure, we can add in brackets that they are yet to be installed, and remove the brackets as and when they are. I added it as it is not a case of CRYSTAL because we have a lot of reliable sources which say that it is going to be installed latest by 2015. And Barak-8ER will not be used - that is to be installed on the Project 15B destroyers. Vicky will have the Barak 2. Now Barak 2 is called LRSAM in India Navy parlance, but the same system is called MRSAM in India Air Force parlance. Cheers :) Anir1uph | talk | contrib 03:21, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Change the pics
Many of the pictures are outdated and is not suitable for present day representation of the Indian Army. Try changing pictures.Opeine (talk) 18:18, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
- I think the Agni pic is fine in the missile section, the Kargil pic is fine in the Kargil section, and the UN pic is fine in the UN section. The Yudh Abhyas pics, in my opinion should not be removed as they are the very latest, and show the Indian Army in the batest battle gear. I will put the pics back in a moment. I want to create a page... please tell me how to do it ! I'm new here... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harsh7422 (talk • contribs) 11:12, 19 December 2013 (UTC)
- What is the title of your page? Also, do you have enough references to ensure your article will be cited? If you are not confident in wikipedia's code to write an article, then I can help you in creating the page in your own user space, which can later be moved into an article. If you have read and understand wiki-policies, then i can assist you in directly starting an article. I see that you already have an article ready at User:Harsh7422/sandbox. Do you want to move that to article space? I see that you have copied most of the language from the Vikrant-class aircraft carrier, so you make then like to read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Hi
It's hard to read people on these boards sometimes. We had collaborated previously, and though it was brief, it was pleasant enough. However, with your edits at Talk:INS Vishal and the reverts at List of aircraft carriers in service, I don't want to see things deteriorate needlessly. I'm not sure why you left the comments you did on the Vishal page, but if it has to do with the table entry at the List of... page, I'm sure we can simply discuss things, and work it all out, especially since we obviously have some interest in some of the same articles. Cheers! - theWOLFchild 05:17, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Reference
The reference from Rajput class was based on BR webpage for the same, images of the vessels available from deployments etc, as well as discussion with those serving in the navy currently. The Brahmos page change is also based on images available, including the P-15 and P-16 class images from the recent Vikramaditya-Viraat images showing the original AShM weapons fit and no Brahmos being installed. Brahmos was not installed on the dates provided on Brahmos page as the vessels were photographed after the dates with the original weapons fit. Versova (talk) 03:53, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Versova, the BR webpage is too old, and may not have been updated recently. All the other sources you have described above fall under WP:OR, ad are not acceptable sources of info on Wikipedia. Images, personal accounts etc are not reliable sources. Please keep that in mind. Thanks. Anir1uph | talk | contrib 04:19, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Understood. But there are no references of the other vessels (R class, T class P1, P-16, P-16A, P-15) mentioned having refitted Brahmos; only articles stating those vessels are planned to be equipped with the the missile.Versova (talk) 13:20, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- @Versova:, of course! That is why I have edited the page since then, according to the points listed by you on the talk page. I hope the latest version of the article looks fine. Do check and leave your suggestions. :) Anir1uph | talk | contrib 13:25, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

DYK for INSV Mhadei
On 11 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article INSV Mhadei, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Abhilash Tomy, the first Indian to complete a solo, non-stop circumnavigation under sail, used the INSV Mhadei for his voyage? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/INSV Mhadei. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
