Additional Voices Omitted/removed for one good reason: NO NOTABILITY!!!!!

After seeing that you are continuing to be reluctant/hesitant with sources regarding additional voices, you are moving forward by completely omitting all additional voices on all the Voice actors thanks to YOUR new guidelines. So congratulations, I still will continue to edit on this site but I'm not impressed with your decision in regards to removing additional voices, regardless if the credits for a game, show or movie has the listing.

This is my reaction in a nutshell for ya:

Why hunt down sources for additional voices that even the actor does not care about listing on his or her resume? If the person makes some sort of notice about how important it is to their career (I have provided examples in Talk:Yuri_Lowenthal#Far_too_many_non-noteworthy_examples_and_excessive_detail), or even tweets about it, then yes, it can stay. For example, Michelle Ruff talks about voicing Baby Tai Lung in Kung Fu Panda. Vic Mignogna talks about Soldier A and even writes a song about it. Tara Strong tweets that she's appearing in a new cartoon. I don't see how commenting out 20 additional voices by Karen Strassman [1] is detracting from the 50-100 roles she still has listed. It's established she voices in a ton of video games and direct-to-video, and her resume has a more complete listing anyway. Even if Steve Blum holds the record for most voices, not every role he has done needs to be listed here.
I appreciate that you're one of the few editors here who makes the effort of looking through closing credits for voice actors. That stuff is not in vain. There are a ton of filmographies that lack sourcing on even the main roles that it is extremely difficult to figure out why this person even belongs on wikipedia. I think that is the sourcing that will most help Wikipedia's articles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:32, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Here's a recent example of one that should stay: Sandy Fox on Wreck-It Ralph. The film credits her under Additional Voices, but she prominently lists it in her website [2] with the note "Listen for Sandy in the Oscar Nominated Animated feature Wreck it Ralph" This is why I commented out the entries, for cases like that which should come back in. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:44, 4 October 2015 (UTC)

Here's another example from a cast announcement. [3] Notice how there's a list of Additional Voices up front and how they are to handle all the other assorted roles. That shows notability above a casual mention in the credits list. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:14, 5 October 2015 (UTC)

Say what you want, but still unimpressed on OMITTING EVERY ADDITIONAL VOICE ROLE on ALL The voice actors page saying it's "irrelevant to you.--*AnimeDisneylover95 (talk) 02:42, 8 October 2015 (UTC)

Warning (David Vincent (actor) page)

If you're looking to get yourself banned, you're off to a good start. I must ask you to stop destroying pages you do not like. You have been warned. NitescoVeritas (talk) 20:42, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

What for? Removing unsourced material on pages that are tagged for being unsourced? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:54, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Have you seen what I've done with Jamieson Price, Lara Jill Miller and Jay Hickman (actor)? Do not assume bad faith on my part. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:02, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Continuing on thread Wikipedia:Editor_assistance/Requests#Rampaging_user_and_page_desecrations. If you want the actor's filmographies to stay around, please provide sources for each of their roles there. Otherwise contested roles will be removed, especially on pages that have been tagged for {{BLP sources}} for months and years. if you bothered to see my contributions for the past year, you'll see that I've thrown in hundreds/thousands of references to detail these filmographies. That's hardly destroying a page. Anyway, David Vincent's page is now sourced. It's close to having that tag removed. If you see missing roles, find a reliable reference and add it in. If you need help on sourcing voice actor pages, I've given plenty of public advice on how to find sources on WP:ANIME/BIO. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 06:08, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

What you are doing is PISSING ME OFF!!! How about contacting the SUBJECT of the page before YOU decide to play GOD???? Who the hell asked you to change my page and hide my HARD FOUGHT FOR credits???? I sure as hell didn't!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:2205:4900:34CE:B7B2:8176:7C66 (talk) 19:51, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

I'm not the one who tagged the article as being UNSOURCED since February 2013. That would be the person to ask. I do not own this article and neither do you. Read WP:OWN. Please consider that I've just spent a bunch of hours painstakingly adding the roles back with proper sourcing so it shouldn't be tagged again. That includes reliable source databases (not IMDB), news articles, tweets and Facebook posts. If there are missing roles, just ask. If you don't like that, and you want the page to go back to the near-blank filmography, I'm sure that won't make anyone happy. Also if you are representing the subject, I suggest you read WP:COI and declare your user account or IP at WP:COIN, so that editors will know to look after your edits as more than just a random edit. Hope that answers your question. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:01, 11 October 2015 (UTC)

The hours it took to correct the credits are very much appreciated. Many subjects use Wikipedia as a resource for their careers. While credits are at times difficult to source, having a very large number of credits suddenly removed or hidden (in certain cases very notable credits) without confirming existing sources can understandably be distressing. Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Postconnect (talkcontribs) 03:31, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

(Talk page stalker here): Wikipedia is of course not a resume repository, and professionals who use the encyclopedia as a kind of free hosting service for their CV do so at their peril. It may be upsetting to them to see articles about them modified without their foreknowledge but that is a risk that they are going to have to accept - and accustom themselves to. Subjects should also realize that, while Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policies afford protection against scurrilous editing or gossip-mongering, all reliable coverage of a subject - good and bad - is generally fair game, and unfavorable (sourced) information can find its way into a Wikipedia article as easily as favorable information. And there the subject may have no recourse at all. The hazards of this form of self-promotion are nicely laid out in a few places, including Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:An article about yourself isn't necessarily a good thing. JohnInDC (talk) 13:28, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Thank you for your input. I don't see any mention of the subject using Wikipidia as a free hosting service for a CV; nor as a resume repository... but more clearly as a Resource. I also don't believe you are implying that either subjects or the general population should view Wikipedia as an unreliable resource. This was not a case of self-promotion at all. This was a case of a misinterpreted scurrilous edit as you mentioned above. However ANGUS WOOF has taken great measure in their sourcing expertise to correct that misinterpretation, and the appreciation for their labor and effort was mentioned above. You are certainly correct in that all reliable coverage of a subject - good and bad - that can be sourced is indeed fair game regardless of whether it favorable or unfavorable for the subject. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Postconnect (talkcontribs) 17:15, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

I don't see much difference between an on-line CV and an on-line list of credits on Wikipedia that is being used as a career resource, unless the existence of an article in Wikipedia is understood as some kind of imprimatur. Also, while Wikipedia strives toward reliability, and has a great number of rules and policies designed to foster it, I've been around here long enough to know that aside from the most basic information about a subject, any article on Wikipedia can, in any given moment, reflect some pretty significant errors; and if knowing the truth about something were really important to me, I sure as heck would look at the underlying cited sources to make sure the editors had got it right in the article. And I wouldn't for an instant proffer Wikipedia to third parties as a source for what I've been up to - there's far too much room for misunderstanding, mischief and misinformation. Cowboy Bebop: The Movie

I appreciate you trying to point things out over at Cowboy Bebop: The Movie. Those two users were (and still are) impossible to negotiate with. If they want to believe that TriStar released the film and not Destination Films and Samuel Goldwyn Films, let them have their victory. There's nothing else we can do about them. — FilmandTVFan28 (talk) 10:40, 14 October 2015 (UTC)

You all have valid points about excluding home media distributors from infobox film when it was a theatrical release, but including major distributors of the direct-to-video in categories (Disney for Studio Ghibli films such as Spirited Away) since English-language production for anime is a big deal for English Wikipedia. If the article itself provides the history of how it's been released, explaining when they are subsidiaries, parent companies, acquisitions or licenses, then I can see it being placed in those categories. A much later acquisition such as Disney on Lucasfilm or Funimation distributing ADV Films titles should not be categorized unless they have had a significant impact on the product. But any of the companies at the time of the 2003 English dub release can certainly slap their labels in the credits and movie posters, as Tristar has apparently done, to justify their categorization. Kate B

Hi Angus, I see that you changed Kate Bristol's state for married. First i add it the link to heri nstagram picture where she say it that Winny is her fiance and married with him! So why you delete her fiance name she say it on her instagram account. And where you have found it that she voice it on her 11? I don't know her age tell me her age and more..--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

She got engaged. She showed a ring on the Instagram picture and confirmed that Winston was her fiance. It did not say they got married. If you want to change "status=Engaged" to "partner=Winston" then you have to provide evidence that he has been her long-term partner. Otherwise, wait until she is married. Also it's Winston, not Winny. As for the 11 years old, that's listed right up front on her biography. That's what the citation is for. I don't know her age either; you'll have to find another news article for that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:56, 15 October 2015 (UTC)

Airdates

If I were you, I guess now would be a good time to do a mass changing of all anime articles which still use the media dates (I see that DanMachi's article has been "fixed" now, though there's still many many articles left). From the last discussion there seemed to be some (loose) consensus to stick to the actual airdates. Only problem is that MOS:ANIME hasn't been changed yet, while the discussion on that talk page hasn't moved in a few days. What do you think should be done? Boldly edit MOS:ANIME, or try to continue the discussion at WT:ANIME, where more users are likely to see discussion? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:04, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

I would ping the main participants in the previous discussions. i want to make sure they buy in, as the verbiage is not as elaborate as the proposals I have made on WT:ANIME. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:15, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

I tweaked the wording a little with quote marks, but if they're too much like the "laser" in Austin Powers, you can contest that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:36, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

winx actors

Hi AngusWOOF, Why you nominated the articel list of international winx actors? It is create in 2012 so why deleteing after 3 year and not in that year that it was create? All user like m use it our energy to search the info from who voice that.. not every wiki say it the voice actors from that language.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:00, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

It's nowhere near the notability of Non-English versions of The Simpsons to warrant such a list. Show some news articles that shows that the international casts are getting heavy recognition for their voice work. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:06, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

Edits to Amanda C. Miller Wikipedia Page

Good evening,

I hope you can assist me. I was editing my daughter's Wikipedia page at her request, since she doesn't know how to do it. I added her birth place, birth date and alma mater, but they were removed because it says "NEED SOURCE". As her father, I can attest to the validity of the information being provided. Since I'm an infrequent editor, can you help me resolve this problem? Many thanks!

Rmiller1959 (talk) 21:54, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. We usually only publicize her birthday if we can find a source like a magazine/news article or if she publicizes it herself via Twitter. This is to protect her privacy (see WP:BLPPRIVACY). Hope that's okay. Thanks for adding the information. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:07, 29 October 2015 (UTC)

Hey Angus, I noticed that today this one was turned from a redirect to a article about an author. Is she in the databases at all or is this one of those people who just barely pass the notability line? - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:36, 11 December 2015 (UTC)

She's got one entry for manga [7] and is listed for three in the anime section [8] for Media Arts DB. Her only notable work so far is that Dandelion show, but it isn't by WP:AUTHOR standards so she's very borderline. Could redirect to Dandelion in the meantime. I'm seeing a similar issue over at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nomico who has that one popular video by YouTube/Nico standards but not much else. Karen Strassman's Age

Really it is easy to determine her age just by the info giving to us about her time in France. She said she study in France when she was 20 and that she lived there for 16 years before moving back to the US in 2002. So if you go off that information she was 36 in 2002, and add the 13 years to present day she is 49. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peniche5 (talkcontribs) 00:24, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

I just checked that interview source. At the 8 minute mark she says she started voice acting when she was 20 and she had already moved to France. But it is not clear she stayed the full 16 years. In some of the sources like IMDb resume it says 15. If she was born in 1966 and went to France when she was 20 it could be the first half of 1987 before her 21st birthday or the second half of 1986. So it isn't precise enough to pin a year. If you have a news article that states her age and the date of the publication, that would be precise enough. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:56, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Ummm...

Regarding your edits to Rail Wars!, I thought the consensus over at WT:ANIME was to cease the use of the media dates and just go with the actual airdates. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 16:17, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Right, I'm using actual dates per Media Arts Database. I converted the footnote to a regular reference, and will remove the explanatory part since it's self-explanatory with the quote. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:11, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Rebecca Soler issues

Hi Angus,

When you say it that it is 1988 april and not 1987 april, U have self first add it 1987 april on the begin from the articel.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:41, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Look at the end credits for the show. HERE and click the green check-marked box and it will bring up the screenshots of the closing credits. It refers to her as 1988 April O'Neil. It's referring to the April O'Neil from the 1987-88 series anyway. But her filmography should list how it is listed on the closing credits. Unless the show itself made a typo, then you'll need a better reference, but BTVA's screenshot is pretty convincing. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:44, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the refrence! But I have along see it. My point was that you self made it 1987 on the script: 1987 april in tmnt forever.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:59, 15 November 2015 (UTC)

Rebecca Soler (not Misty)/Email

Hi Angus, I have seen a few months ago that you add it again the role Misty (ygo 5ds) to Rebecca solers anime roles. This is the point: It was deleted and then you have add it again. Misty is voiced by Carrie Keranen, she say it on twitter and in a email that she was Misty. So why Rebecca? And I have not found the tool: Email this user.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 17:00, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

What are you talking about? There is nothing on her article right now about her involvement in Yu-Gi-Oh 5DS or whoever that Misty character is. Regarding the email, he needs to send a public Instagram so that anyone can confirm his wedding anniversary date, or a tweet if it reaches some milestone, such as (e.g. Happy 15th anniversary!). A private one is still grouped under original research and WP:BLPPRIVACY. See also Unpublished sources AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:11, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
I mean that Misty was deleted a year ago but the user 220.244.97.57 add it this role again on june 4 2014. And Reanne are mention it on her resume, so why this link?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:46, 17 November 2015 (UTC)
I'm still confused by your statement. You're asking why I added her as Misty some months or a year ago? Or why I might have added her back using a revert? I might have but I don't remember. Either way, it doesn't matter now. Misty is not listed in Soler's article. It's not on her resume, and would require a source to add it if she indeed voiced that character in that show. I've added the Ah My Goddess one for sure, and the Outlanders source. If you want to discuss whether Carrie Keranen voiced Misty and whether she and Evelyn Lanto are the same alias, that's a different discussion, but let's clarify first that it has nothing to do with Soler. Lantto, 18/19

Hi Angus, I see it by ah my goddes that the episode it was 1st ep 18 and now 19. What is official? And why you delete Lanto to the articel Keranen? 1st wikipedia say it that Rebecca was Lanto and I see Lanto role's to Soler! And why you now move Lanto from Keranen? Lanto was the person that voice it Misty, Sheena and more role's who was 1st to Soler (what she not is).--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC)

Rebecca Soler was not credited for Ah My Goddess Flights of Fancy episode 18. She is credited in episode 19, which involves the three ninjas, of which she voices Kodama. That's in the closing credits. As for Evelyn Lanto, I commented it out of Carrie Keranen's article. You need to provide a source that confirms sheLanto voiced Misty. Where is that source? Show me the episode where it lists "Misty......Evelyn Lanto". The Hulu episode 29 does not list closing credits. Once that is established, then you can connect it to Carrie Keranen. Miu (Piano)

Hello AngusWoof, The reason that I move it Miu was that U show it Battia and April. Battia is the only role for Soler that made it by CPM. And I knew that Miu is the title character for Piano.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:57, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

Miu in Piano is a starring role and a title character. Battia and Reanne would also be starring but they are among ensemble casts. She does not have many major roles in anime. It does not make sense to remove this from her lead paragraph. 1986 April in Turtles is more of a supporting or minor role in comparison, thus that should not be mentioned. And Becoming Cuba is not Wikipedia-notable. It was a local Boston production. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

IMDb is not a reliable source. Read WP:RS/IMDB. And using the article itself is not a reliable source either. However, if the article has a reference to the credits and there it lists who is who, then you can use that. But in the meantime, it cannot stay. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:34, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
When U say it that articels on wikipedia not reliable source. Why U say it: NS!?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:37, 21 December 2015 (UTC)
Read the verbiage under RS/IMDB first and then WP:CIRCULAR. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:41, 21 December 2015 (UTC)

Soler Tecna and yugioh tweet

Hi anguswoof, why u add it to soler "s1-2 winx" credits? read her tweet then u can see it she was Tecna in s3 see also the credits. and can you also fix it her yugioh zexal answers?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:38, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Which edit are you talking about? I did a recent edit on Winx Club to combine all the 4Kids closing credits references, but season 3's cast listing is not confirmed – have not seen video footage of that list. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:42, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Yes i mean about s3 credits. I have add it her tweets so that's confirmed or not? and can u fixed her tweets about ygo zexal? see her articel. soler.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:45, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
She already lists Kari and Hart on her resume. There's no need to cite more tweets with her as the source. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:45, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
I have foubd this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ3maCdWF8E this person say it: season 203 credits, But I don't see a Schaffel on the credits but a Soler!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:05, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Check the copyright date at the end of the video. It says 2007, so it is season 3 credits, not season 2. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:14, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Duh! I say that! I say it to that this is s3!but the publisher make mistake and say it this s2.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:25, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
So is there a problem? The YouTube channel isn't an official Winx Club published channel but a fan channel anyway. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:31, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Winx Club edits

Stella (4Kids)

Hi Angus, Do you know who voice Stella in the 4Kids dub? Some page's say it Caren Manuel and some say it Amy binrbaum. But 1. Caren's voice for Darct don't like it Stella's voice and Birnbaum was never credit it! --Maxie1hoi (talk) 17:22, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

It's Amy Birnbaum for the Fox Kids version. See HERE, that's the book entry for Winx Club for Fox Kids by Vincent Terrace. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:27, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
It isn't! Amy Birnbaum never credit it for Fox 4Kids version there was a Mary Stout and Grace Shepard, it don't like's Birnbaums voice! Who is it? The real girl? And the book make's spelling misttake's. Griffin is Gryffyn and Tecna is Techna in the book. I think that the book lie it and make mistake's--Maxie1hoi (talk) 18:45, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I know he makes spelling mistakes. If he's mistaken on credits, that is possible too, but then you'll have to find other sources and cite those. 20:38, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
OK, here you go: HERE AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:47, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
I have seen the page but that page also make mistake's. 4Kids don't dub it 4 seasons but 3 seasons! And which role she play it in tmnt and pokemon?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:32, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
I took out the statement about the 3 seasons as you have disputed it. But it's a biography on her that has some decent details, and it confirms Stella and Darcy for Winx Club. It does not list which specific roles she has in those other cartoons. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:09, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
So and why Stella and Darcy don't like same with voice? Darcy like's Carens voice and Stella not. How can it?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:06, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Look, you can't have it both ways. You either use Terrace to verify the individual roles or you don't. Then use Cutting Room or not. If they made a mistake, provide additional evidence on that. If you don't trust either one, then change it to "Lead voices" as that's something that can be verified using the closing credits of season 1 episode 1 on 4Kids. If you don't even trust 4Kids's own credits, then you'll have to strike out that entire entry. Cutting Room looks like they talked with Caren on many of her personal details on her life, including stuff like dropping out of Emerson College at age 18, and she is trying to recall what she had worked on, so she might have gotten the number of seasons wrong, but I'm pretty sure she is saying she voiced who she said she voiced. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:30, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Wel I think iti s Adams. Lisa Adams listed Stellai n her resume.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 17:12, 27 December 2015 (UTC)
Both Lisa Adams and Caren Manuel have listed Stella and 4Kids/Fox on their resumes and profiles. That has already been established. You even say on multiple forums all over the Internet that you got email from Lisa Adams saying she voiced in only three episodes. Even if it is not confirmed by a public source, it is reasonable to assume she participated in the series. The Fox series says Caren Manuel is listed among the Lead Voices. Why are you still hung up on this? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:25, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Yes! Adams voice it Stella for 3 episodes. The reason that I say it that she voice Stella (full) in the FOX version is that: U say it I need source and her resume say not 3 episodes. that's very strange!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:47, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Game from 4Kids

Hi Angus, That game is mention it on the resume from Jacobanis. And on the cover you can see 4Kids logo that means that 4Kids work it on, it's s1 game and in the game you can see scenes from the serie in the FoxBox dub. I have the game but the game don't credit it the actors.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:22, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

It still isn't enough to keep it in the filmography. They could have just used season 1 footage. You need to show that Caren Manuel was involved in the video game itself and list the video game year since there are multiple Winx club games. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:40, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
I knew she never mention it. Jacobanis is the only winx Fox actor that mention it this game. Type on google this game name and look the cover. And I knew very more from winx and the games. 4Kids has the rights in the year that the game was publishi it. and in the trailer you can hear we are winx (Fox version), or you can type on YT this game and listen to the voice's from the characters.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:49, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
I've tweaked Caren Manuel's filmography for the Winx Club video game credit. Please note that there are multiple video games and it's only because a reviewer connected the game to the first season of Winx Club FoxBox/4Kids that the credit can stay. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:54, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

4kids don't NS

Hi Angus, Why you delete the truth info and add mistake's? I have source's for you. Green and Abbey sometimes mention it the role's Brandon and Sky. For Liza you can see the role Bloom in the outlanders fancasting page with her past roles. And Lillis mention it 1 time her role on a comic in 07 avaible on YT. Michal mention it Tune on her site. And Adams mention it Stella on her resume but she voiced Stella for 3 episodes. Delaney and Birnbaum never credit it on Winx!!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:40, 25 November 2015 (UTC)

Please add your sources then. You've only reverted it to the unsourced mess it was before so I had to undo it. If the actors listed their roles in the resume, then add those links. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:02, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Ok. But why you add it Delaney and Birnbaum. Both persons are never credit it in the shows! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxie1hoi (talkcontribs) 16:15, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
They are listed per Vincent Terrace's book. I already told you in my previous replies that if you don't trust it then tag it as disputed. The other credits are visually seen in the closing credits list but not the specific roles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:19, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

NS

Hi Angus, Why U add it Birnbaum and Delaney again? These persons are not credit it. That book lie it. And make's spelling mistakes. And for Erica Schroeder I have add a refrence. This is the refrence: When she say it that she voiced Faragonda then people asking it in comments: Heey are you was Galatea? Then she say: Yes i am! And for Daphne and Piff you can see it her characters gallery pictures from her album which characters she voiced.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:28, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

They are tagged with disputed along with Caren Manuel's entries. Your recent edits do not add any useful sources. You claim they are listed in the credits and Facebook posts, yet don't provide the actual posts. Also the main characters are separated from the supporting characters at present for list organization purposes. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:35, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
Stop adding the other credits until you can provide the cite episode that pinpoints the voice actor to the specific role. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:59, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
For cassandra and schroder I have all it add it. And why you now need source andn ot early but now?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:10, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
It's because it's being disputed that you definitely need to bring sources, even if contradictory. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:23, 26 November 2015 (UTC)
See discussion at Talk:Winx_Club#Stella_and_Darcy_VAs. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:15, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Why did you remove the disputed entries and add more unsourced stuff to the list? It's pointless to add that your source is some personal email correspondence or "she said it on twitter" or "it's in the archive somewhere". AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:44, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

Liza

Hi AngusWoof, Where do you have found it Liza's resume and page? And that page intervieuw Liza?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:57, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

What do you mean by that? It's listed right there in the footnote. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:44, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
I mean how do you found that online page about her? And iti s from now or early years?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:53, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Lots of searches for Liza Kaplan, Liza Jacqueline and then putting the two names together, then found the resume and bio. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:00, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Ok. Can you pls uploud her headshot picture? I am from holland my English is very bad with fair use rule's about picture.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:30, 27 November 2015 (UTC)
Why are you re-creating her page when it's been AFD'ed for not being notable enough? She only has one major role in Winx Club. She needs some more to establish notability, otherwise it will be deleted. She hasn't done anything recent to warrant bringing back that page. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:31, 27 November 2015 (UTC)

singer name?

Hi Anguswppf, what is the name from the singer? the video say it: the 4kids 5. But never hear it from that group.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HY99Cyj5i94--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:53, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Mollie Weaver HERE Here's her bio on her old web site: BIO and with a more recent one Parnassus AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:31, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

winx 4kids

Hi, Do U know who is Dani Schaffel? Or Dani schaffel is a alias? and do U know who sing it the songs for the fox/kids version of winx? like we are the winx and more songs from that version? I don't found the name.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 12:00, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

I already told you the name of who sings in the We Are the Winx video as "The 4Kids 5". I don't have any information on the guy who sings along with her. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:18, 7 December 2015 (UTC)
She's someone in the New York theater world. Do searches for "dani schaffel broadway". She is the sister of Marla Schaffel. Marla's page HERE AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:37, 7 December 2015 (UTC)

4KidsTV winx

Hi Anguswoof, why 4kidstv change it to 4licensing? and how 4kids edit thing like naed and more and replace it with our text or edits? see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYUdTLFAwZ4. I mean this.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:01, 14 December 2015 (UTC)

Read 4Licensing Corporation. And yes, 4Kids has made edits to their shows that people have frequently objected to, especially with One Piece. I'm not sure what you want me to think about regarding this. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:06, 15 December 2015 (UTC)

Winx refrence

Hi Anguswoof, Why U delete it pixie role's from s6 to winx girls? I have add a episode credit and Romis tweet where she say it that the winx girls are also voiced pixies. And franson is the alias of greg abbey. So why U add it to cast? Franson=Abbey. simple! And I see that U delete it blomms birthdate and blooms english vocie overs to her character template. why? and why not other girls?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:58, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

My response:

  • Romi's tweet: "@hilaryduffrocks RT "You voice Cherie? You sound so cute! 😊 :3" I do! And thank you! All of us fairies voice a pixie (but not NEC our own)." So she only confirms she voiced Cherie. It does not mean the other main VAs voice their corresponding pixie.
    •  Done Tweet added back.
  • Youtube link: Please convert that to a cite episode and put the pixie names in the right column. I'll take a look at this too.
    •  Done cite episode provided
  • Frankson=Abbey - Please provide the source that confirms that alias. Right now there isn't any proof, but Frankson is the name that shows on the credits.
  • Birth date in infobox: delete from all infoboxes. This is not important information.
  • English voice actors in infobox. I initially removed this because it was too complicated to leave in the infobox, but I'll give this another look. It should be in order of broadcast with Italian first. No, I haven't gotten around to all the other girls. There's a lot of fancruft that needs to be trimmed down in all descriptions.
    •  Done added back to Bloom's infobox. Please use that as the basis for the others.

Hope this answers your questions. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:31, 22 December 2015 (UTC), updated 18:23, 22 December 2015 (UTC)

Ariana and Stella

Hi Anguswoof, when I make the spellign good you make itbad! You say it seaosns but it is seasons! And why U delete it Adams on list of wc characters? Stella is listed in her resume.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:32, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

See the talk page for Winx Club. This has already been researched. I'll fix the spelling. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:47, 23 December 2015 (UTC)
I have reply it on talk page about stella.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2015 (UTC)

Lezlie/Jodie.Soler Tecna

Hi Anguswoof, Why U say it that Lezlie voiced Tecna in s1-2 and jodie s3-4. This is not truth! Lezlie voiced Tecna from season 1 to epsiode 5 from 2. Jodie voiced Tecna from episode 7 to season 4. Wikipedia self say this to (first). And why wikipedia say it first that Tecna voiced by soler in the 4kids dub?sOLER VOICED tECHNA in s3!!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 22:07, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Look at the episode "Hallowinx!" season 2 episode 16. It says Lezlie Karls voiced Tecna. And yes, Soler voiced Tecna in season 3 only. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:18, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Then they forgot it. Why wikipedia 1st don't need refrence and now needed?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 22:19, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
The references are needed because they are being contested. Season 2 Episode 6 "Runaway Groom" and Season 2 Episode 7 "The Mysterious Stone" show Lezlie Karls as Tecna. Stop changing them without providing the references from reliable sources that anyone will be able to check. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:26, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Stop deleting sourced credits like HERE regarding who voiced Tecna in season 7. No one understands your "NS" comment and you are being disruptive. Season 7 (DuArt) characters are credited by name and role; the burden is on you if you think they are published incorrectly. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:33, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
The reason that I say it: NS is that I tough that U don't believe it. And my other questions are: Why winx role's need credits now and before not? And why wikipedia say it first that Rebecca voice Techna in 4kids? Soler voiced Techna only in 3! See her tweets. And the reason that I Dani Schaffel add it was: that Dani Schaffel voiced Tecna more.. she voiced Techna in s1-2, and the konami game.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:45, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
What does NS mean? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:09, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Regarding "Why Winx roles need credits now?" Because they are being contested Any actor can post that they voiced these characters. So then you have to look at what reliable sources say. Closing credits are published sources not done by the actor. If their name is listed along with their role, then chances are good they voiced the character they said they voiced. In live-action, this is also confirmed by their visual appearance, but since this is cartoons, this cannot be done. If their name is not listed at all in the closing credits, as with Lisa Adams, then it is reasonable to assume they either did not voice the character they claimed to have voiced, or that they were brought in as a substitute/voice match for the character temporarily that the producers didn't want to change the credits animation. There is also the possibility that the producers filled in the closing credits incorrectly, but the last one requires more reliable sources like tweets from the producers/directors. None of the last situation happened. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:09, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Why are you contesting Dani Schaffel and Rebecca Soler as Tecna? The references have been provided. Soler lists season 3 Tecna on her own resume. Soler tweets that she was not Tecna's original voice in 4Kids production. So why is this a problem? Seriously, you are going over the same arguments that have already been answered. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
And why are you messing with Season 7's DuArt for Tecna? That one is listed in the closing credits. Are you contesting who that actor is since she is a new name? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Laura and Lisa

Hi Anguswoof, Why you undo it my edit when I let seethe source that Laura voiced Tressa and Serena? You move it proof! Why? And Adams is currently a chef in place of voice-over. What's not notable her chef work?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:56, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

You did THIS EDIT but did not provide any sources for Laura Bailey's roles, so I had to do THIS EDIT. I then did THIS EDIT to put her name in alpha order on the right column. So what is the problem? And Lisa Adams is placed in the starring column, however, she is still doing a substitute role as she is not credited in the closing credits. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:02, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
I mean why U say it that Adams chef job not notable for wikipedia? Only her voice-over job?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:15, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Her work as a chef isn't Wikipedia notable. If that's her primary career and she has written books, led some notable restaurants, and/or showed up on the daytime talk/variety show circuit for cooking, then yes, but I don't see any of that in her bio. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:32, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

Adams resume

Hello Anguswoof, When you visit it that link the page don't let see it her resume! the link wiht non lisadams.com was good! that lnik let see a pdf document and that;;=s her resume. foodons is beter for section anime then animation.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:19, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

It's there. It's from her official web page where you click Resume. It might require a plug-in to view. But the main issue is that she needs to have notable roles. A substitute lead role isn't enough to keep her around. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:50, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
Aah ok! But I don't have plug in or other proggrams on my pc. And why U say it that it is unsourced that Adams play it Stella for 3 eps? Admas not credit it for winzx! because she played in 3 eps.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:21, 6 January 2016 (UTC)
You still have not provided any reliable source that confirms she voiced in 3 episodes of Winx Club. Seriously, this is going in circles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:18, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Winx air

Hi Anguswoof, why you replacing "foxbox to 4kids or fox? Listen goed: Season 1 was premiered and air it on 2004, airing on the fox block: THE FOXBOX and later again on 4kidstv. Season 2 & 2 are both air it under the name 4kidstv and later again it on cw toonzai. so what's the problem?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:25, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

The title header just needs to say which English dub was used. That would be 4Kids. It doesn't need to say Fox as the station it airs on will vary. For season 1 and 2 that would be Rai English (not used in U.S.) and 4Kids (U.S.). The paragraph in the intro already describes that it aired under Fox under foxbox block and would later air on 4Kids block after the name change. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:34, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Winx voice

Hi Anguswoof, What is you're problem? U aks it to me that u need a source. so i ask it to her on instagram and make a screenshot and email it to my self and uploud it on tinypic.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:58, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

That's personal correspondence, so it is not a published reliable source. That's like if I called the person up or met the person at the store and asked them the same question. And even though you are framing the question with an episode range, she is just verifying that she voiced the character, not bothering to verify whether your episode range is correct because voice actors are not nitpicky about such things. The published credits already show she voiced in seasons 1 and 2. The other WP:BURDEN is that you'd have to prove Jodie Resther voiced in season 2 starting with a specific episode as the credits do not show her in any of season 2. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:07, 21 January 2016 (UTC) update 21:11, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Idk what is not good. But why U ask it her not self and making a screenshot? She answer it. So what she confirmed? And that's me who asking it her on instagram and her twiiter is private for non followers--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:19, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Please read WP:RELIABLE. Private correspondence is not published material. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:27, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
Read Wikipedia talk:Verifiability Frequently Asked Questions: "Is personal communication from an expert a reliable source? No. It is not good enough for you to talk to an expert in person or by telephone, or to have a written letter, e-mail message, or text message from a source. Reliable sources must be published." AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:48, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
When u say it this is not reliabe source, it is a reliabe source! U asking it first to me that Lezlie self saying that she was Tecna in s1-ep 5 s2, so i asking it to her in a message and her answer confirmed that she voiced Tenca in these episode's, when this is not was truth then she say it: that Not sure! Like's Rachael's answer.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:06, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
Please read what I previously wrote, but I'll repeat it anyway: She is just verifying that she voiced the character, and is not concerned about the details about whether she voiced that exact range of episodes. But it is still grouped under personal communication. If she posted this reply on Twitter where it is public information, then it's published information. That YOU'RE the person publicizing the information does not make it published. And this only verifies what the credits have shown; that she voices in seasons 1 and 2. It does not show that she stopped voicing in season 2 and that Jodie Resther replaced her for that same season. That requires more sources as it contradicts what the Rai English closing credits say "season 2 Tecna voiced by Lezlie Karls". AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:20, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Rachael winx

Hi anguswoof, The reason that I delete it rachael's tweet's is: U don't know what people mean it with tweet's. u can't feel it from outside what she mean it! For Faragonda she has a proof name it: voice over reel: But Lucy not mention it in her rachael's voice reel. So why I need believe it her? For Amaryl i have a another proff u can soon see it on wc page!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:18, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Are you saying that Racheael's tweet is incorrect? You can certainly dispute that, but I have yet to see a voice actor make an incorrect tweet that would invalidate their channel. The VO reel is shown at 2:39 for Faragonda. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:32, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
I mean that she can ly it! because why she not mention it Lucy in her demo reel?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:49, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Because Faragonda is a far more significant character than the other students. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:50, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Please read WP:EXCEPTIONAL to see if you suspect she is lying about her roles. If she said "Hey I voice Bloom!" or "I created Winx Club", and all the other published credits show otherwise, then that's an exceptional claim, and that would put her twitter channel as questionable. However, I really don't believe she is making false claims as your recent references, she is confirming her roles as minor characters. However, your references themselves need to be filled out properly. You cannot cite someone's amateur video of a convention appearance. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:02, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

winx names

Hi Anguswoof, Why U say it that Chimera play it in s2-3 or other? 1.Chimera was only see it in season 3. 2.McCraken is the alias of Lee Morris. 3.Kreany not confirmed on twitter for which season she played bad fairies and more.. 4.Campbell is the alias of Abbey 5.Malinsky was only credit it in s2. 6.Schemmel only credit in 3, he played Baltor/Valtor. So why this?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:16, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Here's the list for season 3 4Kids:

Season 3 Winx Club: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ3maCdWF8E

Lead Voices: Sebastian Arcelus John Campbell Dan Green Liza Jacqueline Rachael Lillis Caren Lyn Manuel Vasthy Mompoint Meghan McCracken Suzy Myers Lisa Ortiz Sean Schemmel Grace Shepard Rebecca Soler Michael Sinterniklaas Kerry Williams

Additional voices by: Michal the Girl Matt Hoverman Bella Hudson Carol Jacobanis Andrew Paull Su Meredith Marc Thompson Andi Whaley Pete Zarustica

That's based on your youtube video you provided. If you have aliases you had to find sources that confirm them. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:20, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi Anguswoof, I see that the articel Mirjami Heikkinen have one refrence and that refrence is not reliable! Voicecharcers is not reliable source! see what they mistake it with Caren Manuel and Kathleen Delaney!http://voicechasers.com/database/showactor.php?actorid=4255 porfile say it that Delaney sometime's credit it as Caren Manuel! But 1.Caren and Delaney are different person's! 2.Manuel don't voice Rouge and Delaney don't voice Darcy! For Stella I don't have still find a good source! can u give me a source where Caren say it that she also voiced Stella?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:18, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

You can tag {{Unreliable source?}} to Mirjami's article voicechasers reference. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:21, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
Voicechasers is saying Kathleen Delaney and Caren Manuel are the same person, which is not true, so you can cite that as your proof as to why the voicechasers entry for winx club is not reliable. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:25, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
Why are you still stuck on Caren Manuel's voicing of Stella? You still don't trust Cutting Room's biography? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:21, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
Yes! Because why her voice for Stella don't like the voice of Darcy? And cuttingroom say it 4 season's but foxbox kids dubbed seasons 1-3.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:54, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Like I've said before, the voice actors don't remember how many seasons or exact number of episodes they voiced in if they've voiced a major role. They just know if they voiced their major characters. So Cutting Room does not get the number of seasons right doesn't invalidate the entire source. As you just shown in your previous contention about Lezlie Karls, she merely answered that she voiced the character and thanked you for it, not specifically addressing how many exact episodes of season 2 she did. Similarly with Rebecca Soler, she mainly thanked you for recognizing that she voiced Tecna for the Fox 4Kids version, even though she did not remember what exact season she voiced in, and that she voiced in a later season and on her resume it said season 3. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:58, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
She also goes to Cutting Room venue a lot, like 2011, 2012, and 2013. You should probably ask her on Twitter. She seems to post that she likes various videos.AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:15, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

This edit. The article should not have personal unsourced comparisons of other series. Also the LA Times article you cited only says: "Colin Salmon of "Arrow" and "Limitless" plays a cockeyed version of himself, after the fashion of Ricky Gervais' "Extras." ". It does not say how the entire series is like Extras. Please find another article. Please read Wikipedia:Neutral point of view AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:28, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Help improving a biographical article to GA status

Hey AngusWOOF, can you help me bring Mami Kawada's article to Good Article status? Given that she's retiring soon, so I guess it's now possible to improve the article to a point where it can be good enough to pass a GAN. What do you think? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:26, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

I see it's gone through a lot of peer reviews. Is there something you want me to focus on to get it to GAN? Do you think it needs another review or just go for it? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:47, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
Probably whatever weaknesses the article currently has (in my opinion, this would include the Musical style and influences section, which is currently lacking secondary/third-party reviews). The biography is actually pretty fine for what it is given what information about her is available. I don't think it needs another review, as I was planning to nominate it for GA status, then address issues if they are raised at GAN. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:39, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the edits. Do you think it could pass a GAN now, or is more work needed? Because if it's the former I'll nominate it for GAN soon. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:55, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
I think it's worth a shot. The content is there and it should be very similar to the Lisa article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:29, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
Well, in any case, I've nominated it for GAN status just now. Could you help me find someone to review the article? Thanks. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 18:26, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
There's always Prosperosity as the go-to person for Japanese musicians :) And anyone who's participated in the peer reviews previously. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:38, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
Prosperosity can't review it though since he's also made major edits to the article (albeit at my request). I see Tintor2 (who also reviewed LiSA's article) hasn't edited Mami's page yet. I'll notify him in a bit. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 18:46, 26 January 2016 (UTC)

Help for a new user?

Hi, I am wondering how to get the DOB unpublished for Carrie Keranen and I see that you made changes to that piece of info. I'd love your advice/help?

CareBearFinn (talk) 00:34, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

Well it's one of the few voice actor DOB's that has reliable sources backing it up, including a Facebook post from the production company acknowledging her birthday, and that news article by Park City Daily News. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:08, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi CareBearFinn, I've removed the DOB now. At first, I wasn't sure who the request was from but thank you for clarifying. Hope the rest of the article is okay. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:04, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi Anguswoof, a person does't have 2 birthyears. only 1! First wikipedia say it that she is born in 1987. then u say it that she is bonr in 1976 and then 1975/1976? And why u delete it jan 16? It is sourced.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 16:57, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Miraculous Ladybug move discussion

Hi! I saw that you reverted an edit to Miraculous Ladybug regarding the title of the show, and I was a bit baffled by it because Nickelodeon does indeed refer to the show as Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. I've been considering opening a move request discussion for a while now, and now that the title is being contested I thought now would be a good time to write it up. If you could share your thoughts at the talk page, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Soren121 (talk) 22:42, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

The Nick version does refer to it as such but the edit had listed it as Chat Noir (French spelling) instead of Cat Noir (English spelling). The article could be renamed to Miraculous or Miraculous (TV show) provided there are no other articles that go by that title. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:55, 12 February 2016 (UTC)

Yuri Lowenthal

Hey so I made an edit to the Yuri Lowenthal page to add a credit for work he did on a video game. Apparently my source was a no-go, so I was wondering if you had any suggestions for what an appropriate citation would be for something like that. I can't exactly link to a video game haha. There isn't a lot of buzz around a game of this caliber so I couldn't find any interviews relating the actor to the game, however I found this video showing the credits of the game which includes his name being attributed to the characters of "Bryce/Male Shopkeeper."

Thanks!

Low Drag (talk) 05:33, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

If he's listed in the closing credits you can use {{cite video game}}. Check out some of the other references on how to format that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 06:53, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Behind the voice actors

Sorry for bothering again with that website (I kinda don't get it), but could you give me an example of that website to use in Goku? Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 01:48, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

Okay: 1 (ParaNorman) can use because all roles are check-marked and point to screen captures of closing credits. 2 (Fullmetal Alchemist) is cannot use because there is no verification on BTVA's side to the closing credits. It is speculative that the actor voiced the character and there is nothing to confirm the role. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:34, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Caren Rachael

Hi Anguswoof, Ha! Rachael voiced Amaryl! see that link. But why she say it on twitter: sorry not not sure!? Amaryl's voice like so the voice of Misty! And for Caren; when u say it that Caren vocied Stella why she not saying: I am Chatta? Chatta's and Stella's voice like so very same!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:37, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

So you finally found her old resume. Yes, that one would confirm her roles as Amaryl. But please try to understand that voice actors do not remember every single minor character they have voiced. They have voiced hundreds (some have even voiced thousands) of characters over their career. Amaryl and Dextia are minor characters. Faragonda and Lucy are supporting ones. Also, I reverted your claim that Caren Manuel voiced Chatta as you have not provided any sources to show that. Matching voices on your own is original research.
As for Erica Schroeder voicing Squonk, Icy and Critty, please find the specific facebook post and cite that. Do not just blindly add credits without sources.
Please read WP:WPNOTRS. It says: "Although specific facts may be taken from primary sources, secondary sources that present the same material are preferred. " The Cutting Room article is a published secondary source. Twitter is a primary source. Caren's resume is a primary source. So Cutting Room is preferable to Caren's twitter line or resume. Her article, especially the biography, should be based on secondary reliable sources. However, Caren's twitter can be used to make corrections on the published information. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:10, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Which CV/resume u mean? I never find cv from Caren! Only twitter and cuttingroom. As for Bella. I fix it the link. She talk it about Icy etc.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:05, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
It doesn't matter. It can be any actress who posts a resume. You refer to resumes a lot for voice actors. I just wanted to remind you those are primary sources. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:57, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Idk which cv u mean! Let me show the link! And for erica. Who say it that she played piff to in the duart dub?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:04, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
See Facebook post (emphasis mine) Erica Shroeder (12 February 2016). "Without further ado, I can finally announce the roles I play on Winx Club Season 7. The cat was already outta the bag with Faragonda with the Season 7 trailer that came out earlier this year but I'm also incredibly honored and overjoyed to play Icy the Witch, reprise my role as Piff from the first 3 seasons and play 2 new awesome fairy animal characters, Musa's fairy animal, Critty and my favorite part, Aisha's fairy animal, Squonk. Squonk is SOOOOO cute and a riot to play. It's the character I mentioned a few months ago that I'd want to get a stuffed animal of for my kids. Fingers crossed they come out with one! Thanks for your patience. I have 12 other roles in 3 other series and 4 other movies coming within the next year but all are still hush hush. Hopefully soon I can share more! Jack reacher (book series)

Good job on your edits to that Jack Reacher (Book series) article - the main jack reacher article is a mess but the novels section is much better. --Cameron Scott (talk) 15:52, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Actually, thank you for splitting that article. That was what was needed. I think if each of the two articles were set up like James Bond or Jason Bourne then the organization should be fine. If there are things that need to be cited for the character page they can refer to the actual book or film. The appearances section will probably be referring to primary sources which is acceptable, but yes, I agree analysis should be done by critics / secondary sources and not synthesized by the editors. Your edits to Miraculous Ladybug as of 5 March 2016

Dear AngusWOOF,
I understand your concerns about the clarity of the sentence, where you may have gotten confusing by the wording, and thought that it was the crocodile that was playing the guitar.
I hope you may understand that I have added a comma in there to make things clearer. Also, I may remind you that it's a crocodile we're talking about, not another person. "who" does not refer to crocodiles; in English, we use the word "it", as you should probably know. I appreciate your concerns though. It's nice to see users like you to come here and edit daily to help out. One more thing; please don't save your edits one by one. It makes things really hard for people when they're typing and have to rewrite everything every minute when you constantly update the page. Please refrain from doing that; perhaps saving all your edits in one go is a better idea.
Thanks.
Weslam123 (talk) 00:22, 5 March 2016 (UTC)

Tell you what, I'll wait a bit on having your edits go through before I tweak it some more. I don't think I can stop fixing things incrementally as I tend to want to get my train of thought on fixing it out as soon as I can. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:26, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Alright, thanks for that. I'm done with my edits for now, you can go ahead and save yours. Thanks for understanding. I also get that you want me to put in the air date sources, but I'm currently busy with some stuff. I'll do that as soon as possible, once you save your edits. Sorry for undoing your edits as well, but I just really don't feel that mistaking the crocodile as a who is something anyone would do. Weslam123 (talk) 00:35, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
Hey AngusWOOF, I'm having trouble with the HTML coding for two of the sources I put in for the first origin episode summary. Could you help me out with that and see if you can fix it? Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 01:51, 6 March 2016 (UTC)

Weslam123, as a suggestion when you are doing tons of edits, you can throw in {{in use}} on the top of the page. This will notify other editors not to edit during that time. Also, please read what I wrote on the talk page concerning the phrasing of the English dub. I'm fine with using the French dub as canon, but want to make sure it is phrased in a neutral manner (Astruc said it). Also, the summaries are still too high on the word count. You didn't like the 100-word one, but can you shorten it to around 250? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:22, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

How should we refer to unnamed characters in plot summaries?

Yo. The Lobster discussion seems to have gone nowhere, so I've asked on the WikiProject Film talk page, if you'd like to throw your two cents in again. Popcornduff (talk) 03:58, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

Please talk with GoMuse17 regarding it. The reviews I saw for the movie have used both caps and non-caps. Example without proper noun. [13] Example with proper noun [14] If you want proper nouns, remove "the" in front of characters such as Lisping Man, and others and treat it as a name. disruptive

Hi i noticed on both my message wall and when you undone my edit on the smile precure page that you called my edits disruptive, I am normally a good editor on wikia but when you're working with a template you don't know about, it can be hard to know what coding to use and i didnt want to experiment — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fallenangelluce (talkcontribs) 19:33, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

I called the second edit disruptive because it was insisting on leaving a raw URL and wasn't showing what you were trying to do. You can always preview the edit before posting it. If it's really complicated then try using the sandbox. Also you should fill in edit summaries whenever you can. Set your user preferences to require edit summaries. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:50, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

I don't know how the templates here work, I wasn't going to attempt to find out either. Just so you know the page itself is misleading it makes it sound like the english dub is the original when its not. The thing is people are actually believing that glitter force is the original series when it isn't. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fallenangelluce (talkcontribs) 11:56, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Who are those people you are talking about? There has been extensive discussion as to what is the title of the series in English, and the article also clearly states what the title, terms, and characters are known in Japan. And because it's anime, of course the English dub is not the original. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:03, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

Just because you refer to the original series doesn't mean people won't think that glitter force is the actual original dub. About 98% of the page makes it look like the original is glitter force and not smile precure. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.185.247.46 (talk) 20:31, 19 March 2016 (UTC)

List of Kill la Kill edits-response

In my defense involving Kill la Kill and it's character page, Guts' hoodie appeared to be blue though I liked your improved information on how he got his name. How else should I mention that the Honnouji Academy Elite Four are loyal to Satsuki? As for the other club leaders, there were some who were not name where some of them from the Basketball and American Football clubs appear to be large like Ira Gamagori. Outside of that, I have noticed that some people like Sjones23 have reverted any other informations involving the earlier histories of the Honnouji Academy Elite Four (namely how they met Satsuki) and the later appearances of the other club leaders upon being freed from the COVERS (which aren't listed on the character page as Ragyo's foot soldiers) prior to the final battle against Ragyo Kiryuin. As for Honno City on the main page, I have previously left a hidden note stating how it's an artificial island since real islands wouldn't have sunk from the resulting fight between Ryuko Matoi and Rei Hōōmaru. That city is artificial just like the Bund from Dance in the Vampire Bund. I'm just letting you know that. I hope this covers it. If it doesn't, did I leave anything out? --Rtkat3 (talk) 22:13, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

If they serve Satsuki, it is natural to assume they are loyal to her. Why would you need to repeat that information? Also like I said on your talk page, not every club needs to be listed. There's an episode where a bunch of random clubs are mentioned, and some of them have ridiculous premises. Just leave it alone. The character descriptions are also not meant to provide plot information (how they met Satsuki) That is for the episode summaries. And leave the islands analysis out of the article. How the island was created is not critical to the storyline. The club leaders appearing in a later episode doesn't need to be explained. That they are given a profile on the main website is enough to show they are notable enough to have a possibly recurring role, and that is confirmed by the late episode anyway. You did not provide the link to the actual podcast, but to a header page that has no link to the podcast, and appears to be a fan profile writeup. That alone is not reliable. It also had links to Wikipedia, IMDB and Twitter, which doesn't give it much credibility as many fan videos just copy/paste Wikipedia and IMDB and such lists into their descriptions. The Facebook entry is also not reliable as it only lists that she was on the program and then references IMDB which is not reliable per WP:IMDB/RS. Since then I have found the actual podcast which has a detailed interview where she does mention her early roles. Please pay attention to how I structured the reference. All the pieces need to be there for it to make sense. The podcast link then becomes primary, and usable as a reliable source per WP:SELFPUB. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:57, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
If you want to use a similar case for Kate Bristol, then please find her podcast and create a reference that has both the header article and the actual podcast. Then confirm within the podcast that Bristol agreed that she played those characters. Afterwards you can start filling in some nice content to her biography as I have been doing for Keranen. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:01, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming over email that she is the same person who posted on Wikipedia. I hope that settles your doubts as to her identity. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:04, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
See Kate's podcast profile link on her articel and see Kreany's podcast profile to!

Let show kate role's!: Musa=Yes Pokemon girls=Yes Lynnete=Yes Flower Girl=Yes and so I can tell it more! And now Kreany! Let show: Misty/Mina=Yes Mokuba (2)=Yes Annie=Yes. So what u need to more know? And canu find Kate's podcaat intervieuw? I can only found her profile!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:09, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

And u saying that Lanto is not a confirmed alias for Kreany. so why u add it?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:39, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Please read the discussion on her talk page in its entirety before you make incorrect conclusions regarding the aliases. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:10, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

Apologies

I am sorry for those reverts. I exactly do not know happened so I gestores it back to tour versión.Tintor2 (talk) 00:44, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

No worries. It took me a few iterations to get the right links anyway. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:13, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

Soler

Hi Angus, Why u delete it a role that not mention it in her resume when I add it? I just add it what the articel from the tv-show saying. And her resume is very old! When u need to see that role on her resume u can mail it her to contact@rebeccasoler.com or check it on IMDB. Myanimelist also mention it her role Amber.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:43, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Please read WP:ANIME/RS. Both IMDB and Myanimelist are not reliable sources! And it is not listed in her resume, so it requires a different source. You said you saw it in the credits? Can you cite that episode that says so then? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:51, 25 March 2016 (UTC)
Do not assume she voices Amber. The closing credits only show her listed among the Voice Actors, that's about it. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:57, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

Hi Anguswoof, The reason that I add it "Amber" is that: The articel self saying: Amber (voice by Rebecca Soler), myanimelist saying to! And why u robocar poli add it to animation and not anime section? It is a anime, when it was not a anime then it is not mention it by myanimelist.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:06, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Myanimelist is not a reliable source! Also South Korean cartoons are not anime. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:08, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
See robocar poli articel self. they are saying that Amber is voiced by Soler. That's the reason why add it amber to soler's cartoon role's.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:38, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Show me the link to the article. The Youtube video does not list it. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:46, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Aah! I see that u change it! Articel from the tv show self saying that Amber have the voice of Soler and now u delete it her name.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:42, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
Which article? Where is your source that confirms it? None of the voices are confirmed on the Robocar Poli article, only that Marc Thompson and Rebecca Soler have lead roles according to the film festival writeups. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:51, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
I mean this: Robocar Poli (articel). The articel from the show saying first that Soler is Amber etc.. and i have seen later that u delete it the names with non source. Listne pls! next--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:12, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Nihonjin no shiranai Nihongo

Dude, there is a Japanese wiki page for it, https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E4%BA%BA%E3%81%AE%E7%9F%A5%E3%82%89%E3%81%AA%E3%81%84%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E8%AA%9E and, I provided ISBNs also. Also a simple Google might have helped! — Preceding unsigned comment added by モハメッド一二三 (talkcontribs) 02:33, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

But how is this important for English Wikipedia? Why isn't it shown in Media Arts Database? Can you find it in there? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:00, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Nihonjin no shiranai Nihongo Drama

It HAS spawned a TV Drama, actually I FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS by the TV drama. http://www.ytv.co.jp/nihongo/register/

Wikipedia only excepts notable work? It has 5,000,000 articles, are you sure?

Also btw, search 日本語 on Youtube and you will find the drama of this, I think that's pretty notable if typing a language will get you a TV drama on the first page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by モハメッド一二三 (talkcontribs) 03:23, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

It's up to you to fill in the article with the details about the drama then. That should show it is notable, since as it stands now, it appears to be a manga with no notability as it doesn't even show in the Media Arts Database or Anime News Network encyclopedia. If it is not a manga, then don't use "comics" as genre (Perhaps you meant comedy?), and remove the Anime and manga group from Wikiprojects. Thanks. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:28, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
Well, it is a comic book. Also I was going to add the TV drama information, last night, but it was so late. Anyways I was just adding the TV Drama info, whilst you replied! Also I never put the Anime and Manga project, some other weeb did. Thanks! __モハメッド一二三 (talk) 03:54, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

What classifies as Japanese comics?

Hi there! I want to know, for The Japanese The Japanese Don't Know article, is every comic from Japan considered a "manga"? Here, look at a page, and could you tell me?

File:200904301118150d3.jpg
A page from Nihon no shiranai nihongo or the japanese the japanese don't know

Also do all the other languages of Wikipedia have the same guidelines? Because the Chinese page of The Japanese The Japanese Don't Know only has one source, which is the maid cafe....

Anyways, Thanks, Muhammed123 __モハメッド一二三 (talk) 08:54, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

That looks like manga to me. I don't know why it isn't listed in Media Arts Database though. But keep at it, bring some of the Japanese news articles that discuss the TV show or the series, and that should help notability. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:08, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
Well here, I found some articles discussing it

http://misteratmisis.com/japan/japanese-language-unknown-even-japanese http://cypsis.blogspot.com/2013/07/nihonjin-no-shiranai-nihongo-2010.html https://mindofryan.wordpress.com/category/japanese-dramas/ https://kwtsui.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/keigo-and-foreigners/

Makes me happy to see you at the Kalyeserye articles. They've been a mess for quite some time.  :) Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:41, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

No prob. It's a real mess. People keep posting episodes, but no one has any sources, not even for the titles or the hashtags. You'd think someone could provide the tweet for the "official" hashtag. And if hashtags are all fan-generated and not recognized as official, there's no point in putting it in Wikipedia. Leave that for Wikias and other fan-generated places. If the titles are fan generated, then that has to disappear as well, and replaced with just the airdate of the show as with The Today Show. Otherwise we need to remove the hashtag and the locations field. No one cares about locations. This isn't List of City Confidential episodes or List of Star Trek: The Original Series episodes where the location or stardate is part of the show. That's just fancruft, along with the 500 word episode. It would be simple if they just use GMA Network or the official website, but I don't even know what that is. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:51, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
I found the Facebook website that posts the episodes, so am using that to fill in the titles with references. Unfortunately that only confirms the titles but not the hashtags or locations. given that the videos have over 100,000 likes each, and 500 thousand to over a million views, and that the show article links to the facebook, it's fair to assume those are the official links to videos.AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:07, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
I've posted the episodes with either Facebook or YouTube links to the official posts. I also recommended a reference format for specific episode days so filling in the character description should be easy. So now that leaves the hashtags and locations. Hashtags and locations I don't know if they are significant enough to propagate. Perhaps Tankytoon can answer to that? I would get rid of the locations. Every show has different locations so this does not need to be noted. The episode itself can highlight any significant events and locations visited if they are critical to the plot, but saying "hey we're at Broadway Centrum again" and some random field locations to gather fans is not useful. That's as crufty as Al Roker's "city of the week", or as crufty a complete list of all of the song clips that Yaya Dub uses. If the picture of the locations visited is notable, then you can retain that. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 23:56, 1 February 2016 (UTC)
AngusWOOF - Argh. For some reason, my response was not saved. Anywho...Thank you first of all for your cleanup of this and other related articles. Even if I am a fan of the show, I admit that a lot of the content is trivial and unnecessary and better suited to Wikia. I am not sure where we can get verifiable sources for the locations, and like you, I agree that other than the Broadway Studio or the Philippine Arena for the main event, the rest is moot. I highly doubt that there will be a guided tour in the future, "The Lolas were here." Even fancruft has its limits. As for the hashtags, they are only relevant to Twitter users, but the majority of the Aldub fans on social media, are on Twitter. The hashtags are released by @ofctrendsetter after consulting with Eat Bulaga. They are mainly for trending purposes, and if ever someone wants to view discussions on Twitter regarding a particular episode, they can refer here, as I have yet to see a site or source that lists all hashtags. It is also relevant as cross-reference when articles mention twitter statistics being broken etc, as they usually refer to the hashtag like what they do here or here. Not sure if these are reasons enough to retain the HT column, as the this article that lists the hashtags is already considered for deletion. Tankytoon (talk) 00:49, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
AngusWOOF P.S. I am not sure if Cyphoidbomb already mentioned to you, but looks like you have already reverted the disruptive edits made by a particular user. I was planning to clean up that section and remove a lot of inconsequential characters but I was almost pretty sure that he will just undo what I did, and since I do not have enough tenure, I just left it to be tackled by a more experienced editor like you & Cyphoidbomb and avoid edit-warring :) But on one point, I have to ask, if you removed the full name of the character, for example only used Yaya Dub as anchor, can I put the rest in the description if it's relevant (as a lot of times, she is referred to as Divina)? Of course, let's say for Duhrizz, it is not notable to note her full name (to me). Or if not the full name of the character (which is way too long to begin with), how about just first and last - for example: Cindy Kournikova, on the list page. I concur with you that slashes like "Divina Ursula Bokbokova Smash / Yaya Dub / Maine / Meng / Menggay" are not productive, and any detail (if significant) should be in the description. Also as for the other characters that you have removed (the whole section - which I agree) ...some of it though one-off may be notable to the development of the story - ie. Dodong Smash - Yaya's father - can I list it instead under the episode where the father appears? Thanks in advance for your help.Tankytoon (talk) 01:16, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for your feedback. I'll try to answer your questions:

Tankytoon replies in bold

  • With the hashtags setting records, example [16] they might be useful to log after all. I just need a source of the official ones and it can wait until the date GMA said "yes, go ahead and pick them" for them to be posted. If that's @ofctrendsetter and it's a public tweet (doesn't require a Twitter subscription or a follow to access), then use that.
How do I source all the hashtags? If individually, can be time-consuming as I don't have the proper tools. The source is here.
  • Full names in the character descriptions. Yes, please put them there. That's where they would belong and they can then be referenced to a particular episode along with the other information.
  • Last names for certain characters? Only if they are referred to by that name as with Yaya Dub. If Cindy Kournikova is usually referred to as such, then keep it there, but if it's a once in a blue moon where her last name is referred to then never mind.
I get what you are saying here. In the realm of Kalserye, people who watch the show know who Cindy is...but other than that, and in terms of referencing articles, for example, how would you differentiate this Cindy from other Cindys? Pretty much like I guess, the characters on "Friends" here , that the last names are listed on anchors and other names can be in the description. Even though, fans of the show are on first name basis with the characters, but not everybody is familiar, hence the purpose of Wikipedia.
  • Guest stars. Yes, put them in the episode list summary, like Yaya's father Dodong Smash (actor name) visits.
  • If you want to add what her father does to Yaya's description that's okay too.
I think I will skip some of the details, as I am trying to make the character descriptions as tight as possible to be more like "encyclopedia" than "trivia."
  • Yaya Dub's nickname as Divina. Yes, that can be in her description. It doesn't need to be bolded or slashed with her common name. But the nicknames (outside of AlDub) should be ones attributed to the characters within the show, not fan-given names.
Yes, I agree. Names and even character descriptions should only be included if they are defining features, or are relevant only in terms of the series. Correction though, Divina is her real name, and Yaya Dub is her nickname.
  • As for adding more names to the anchor, that's okay if you think a lot of links will need to point to those in favor of the common name.
See my second comment above, ie. Cindy.
  • Debuts for the character in the episode list should be linked to the character list. The link is good enough to show when they debuted. You can also add their introduction to the series in the character description like "He is introduced as Yaya's fiancee by arranged marriage.(Day X)"
I think I will skip some of the details, as I am trying to make the character descriptions as tight as possible to be more like "encyclopedia" than "trivia."

Hope that helps! AngusWOOF (barksniff) 01:32, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

The more properly sourced and formatted the episode list is, and the less crufty it appears, the better chance it has of staying around and surviving AfD's. That the official website is archiving the individual episodes on Facebook and YouTube and that particular episodes are setting Twitter records is helping its notability. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:00, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

AngusWOOF, Thank you for your response. It will help a lot in my editing process. Please see above comments in bold. I agree that the articles need a lot of citation, hence I was going through the whole page (incl. other related articles), copy editing and adding references, even in the character descriptions if possible. I agree that the more detailed the episode summaries are, the more exposed they are to violate copyright policies. By the way, I forgot to ask, short of copying and pasting to Word, is there anyway to check word count for episode summaries straight on Wikipedia? I am just using basic editor, not really tech savvy here. Tankytoon (talk) 04:14, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi, regarding the AlDub hashtags, I think it's good enough to just post aux2R={{efn-lr|name="aldub hashtags provided"}} in the header for each month in which you've verified the hashtags are correct, and then do that for the episodes from October 2015 to January 2016. I don't know when AlDub was made official. If you can find the date when GMA said, yes, you are official, then you can list hashtags starting with that date. I would then remove the hashtag column from everything before then as those aren't recognized as official. As for Cindy last name, yes, you can use their last names to distinguish the different ones. There are lots of Gasgases and Lolas so those do help. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 04:22, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF, I am just wondering if we can copy/move/link important parts of this discussion on the talk pages of the Kalyeserye or List of Kalyeserye Episode articles, so at least other editors who want to improve the article can refer to some of the comments, rather than asking already what has been asked. Tankytoon (talk) 17:12, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Also, as an update on FYI only, the source for the location can be found on the Videos itself (same source has the official FB / YT channels). But I see that you have removed the location list and like you, I do not have a strong argument to keep that column, except that on the article is a map of all the locations - I am not sure if the list has an affect on the map details.Tankytoon (talk) 17:23, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. I just commented out the locations, so if it is really essential that they tour and appear in a different location each episode, then it can be argued to put it back. It shouldn't affect the map as the map is likely generated by a fan offsite and not dependent on the Wikipedia article itself for its data. The hashtags do gather national press as they have set Twitter records and compete with other similar shows for most hashtags in a day. As for copying portions, yes, you can start discussions on the article talk pages regarding these things so everyone can see and not have to go to this page to find it. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:40, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, the cast members tour and appear in different locations, mainly because within this sub-segment is another portion called "Sugod Bahay" where in the middle of Kalyeserye narrative, the Lolas visit the house of a lucky viewer in that particular neighborhood and award them prizes. They are just being fair that there is not a skew of winners in one or two preferred neighborhoods. So in essence the "Juan for all, all for Juan" segment of the show Eat Bulaga, has the Kalyeserye portion and then the Sugod Bahay is held between the beginning and end of a Kalyeserye episode. Confusing, I know. Whether it is relevant to the story of Kalyeserye itself is another thing. I do not see why it would be relevant, but others may disagree, I just put it out there, just to say I have covered all possible points and not being biased - but on Wikipedia, I work as a Wikipedian and not operate as an attentive viewer. Tankytoon (talk) 19:30, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks. It doesn't sound like it is important to the series and is detail akin to The Simpsons couch and blackboard gags which isn't listed in The Simpsons (season 1) but was detailed in the infobox of the individual episode articles. That the visit sometimes happens mid-episode doesn't make it an identifying marker either. Not like the Hashtag, Day number, or episode title. Or if it were a pro sports regular season game, it would be akin to who sang the national anthem. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:16, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Pls. check refactored portion

Hi AngusWOOF, I have refactored portions of our Kalyeserye discussion in here and here. Pls. check for your approval. I already saw the character list section so I did not refactor those as your points are more concise. Thanks, Tankytoon (talk) 18:32, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Looks good, thanks! AngusWOOF (barksniff) 18:42, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Kalyeserye (Other Cast section)

Hi AngusWOOF , I just reverted this edit by a user who previously ignored your cleanup efforts to the article. I am wondering if we should open a discussion on the article's talk page regarding the actual removal - instead of commenting out - of the section to prevent it being added back. Most of the characters in that list are insignificant anyway. I am in the process of adding some notable ones only in the episode list. Do we need to put it to vote or are your and/or Cyphoidbomb's decision enough to outright remove it? Only reason why I am hesitant to put it to vote is if the "ardent editors" that we have so far encountered have the majority vote, does it mean that we have to respect the decision, even if it does not follow Wikipedia guidelines? Tankytoon (talk) 05:01, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

If it's a question of whether the character is significant, then open up discussions on the talk page. If it's just a blanket addition of one-off minor characters then revert it. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 05:35, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, AngusWOOF , maybe I was not clear. I am saying that if it is better to remove the whole section of Other characters, rather than just commenting it out because users have tried to put it back simply just by removing the "comment out" tag. And if such removal can just be done permanently, without having to put it up for discussion on the talk page, such as when Cyphoidbomb removed the plot device section. Thanks, Tankytoon (talk) 09:27, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
I commented it out because I don't know who's a one-off guest and who was minor recurring. But those which are already mapped over to the episode list as guests can be deleted. You can also just go ahead and delete them and if you need them check the history. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:52, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Great! Thanks, AngusWOOF. That's what I plan to do; just need a second (non-involved) opinion. - I already saved a copy of the list just in case. Tankytoon (talk) 15:11, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF, Cyphoidbomb . - The same user is at again. He put back this section 3 times in 3 days, after you reverted once, and I reverted twice. I already made comments on my edit summary to refer to the discussion on the talk page, but looks like it fell on deaf ears. Tankytoon (talk) 23:02, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Kalyeserye (Other Cast section) Take 2

Hi AngusWOOF, Cyphoidbomb - Long time, no talk. I need advice whether to "beat them or join them" in this new-ish (to me) spin-off sub-article List_of_other_characters_in_Kalyeserye. It seems that somebody have created an article of what we have commented out in the main Kalyeserye article, and the other users who both of you have forewarned before, see this as opportunity to "dump" more inconsequential characters.
So I see 3 options:
1) keep it and let them be....
2) nominate the article for deletion....(if so, please advise process)
3) compromise and keep only characters that somehow have a bigger involvement in the story and/or played by notable actors
and ditch the ones that are just extras or just happen to pass ...i.e. driver, maid, postman, characters with no actor portrayals, or even if some do have, - but link to stub articles like this Petite - which I think was hi-jacked just recently to make it seem more "Notable."
Speaking of which, do characters with portrayals shown in picture only count?
Do characters with no actor portrayals but may be significant (because they are mentioned) because they are deceased count too? (ie. Grandfathers of both Yaya Dub and Alden?)
Back from fun in the sun, Tankytoon (talk) 00:03, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
I'd remove any one-time minor and guest characters with notability as the reason. The guest celebrity roles can be summarized in the episode lists and on the main Kalyeserye page in a single paragraph. (e.g. Many celebrity guests at Eat Bulaga! would participate in the show beyond just hanging out with the hosts. (celebrity) participated as a postman (day x), (celebrity 2) was a driver at the wedding (day x)) Pictures of AlDub's dead grandfathers don't count. The actor has to participate in the show, like be in the flashback or a ghost, to be counted as a character. Otherwise they can be integrated into the other character's description. (e.g. Her grandfather was a (occupation)). AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:16, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
AngusWOOF, thanks for the quick response. I have done this before, and integrated this guest characters in the episode summaries, and removed them from the main article. But as I said, somebody created another off-shoot article just to list all these characters all over again, with the help of previously warned editors like these. A lot of these characters do not have even speaking parts or if any, just a couple of lines, and are played by people they just happen to take off the street at that time, with no acting credentials. I have left comments on the Source code indicating these characters, because I have removed them before from the main article and these kept being put back in these off-shoot articles. Just right now, I even see characters that are mentioned by name only, without actor portrayals, ie. Jomari - character reserved for so and so, or Bea..portrayed by: TBA. And the most annoying one to me is the Mystery Caller character- if you are familiar with the show...there are dozens of mystery callers...and they will just reveal themselves later in the story...so how would they even differentiate one mystery caller from another? And why should they highlight one particular Mystery caller over another Mystery callers. ....SMH, Tankytoon (talk) 14:45, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
This conversation really should take place at List of other characters in Kalyeserye so that other editors might weigh in. I will start the conversation there. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:51, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the response. Cyphoidbomb. I figured that, since these aforementioned editors, at best, do not know how to check their talk pages, or at worst, just disregard them, any amount of discussing and referring on the article's talk page will just do a fly by over their heads. I have browsed their talk pages and seems both have the indiscriminate habit of adding inconsequential lists/articles or copyrighted content. But I guess I didn't consider that other editors besides these two can also put their two cents in. Thanks much, Tankytoon (talk) 15:16, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
Well, if you directly invite them to the discussion and they choose not to participate, they can't claim any sort of consensus. Sometimes it's best to call people out directly when you have a difference of opinion about content. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:22, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
Cyphoidbomb noted. Tankytoon (talk) 21:27, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi Anguswoof, I just add it what her resume saying! So why changing? Read her 2 resume's pls!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:11, 18 March 2016 (UTC)

The actual program credits are more accurate. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:27, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Then say it early.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 22:15, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I put in the cite episodes and explained it in the edit summaries. And I had already swept her resume which is why it was listed in the upper corner. What earlier does it need to be said? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:01, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
So that means that her resume lying?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:09, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
No, like I said, voice actors aren't picky on the punctuation on the titles and yes they can make typos. The point is that she participated in Negima both seasons, and has played both of those characters, although the follow-up citations plus Brittney Karbowski's resume [17] I posted override her claim that she voiced Anya in the second season. Here's Hulu for season 2, episode 1 dub [18] closing credits confirm Anya = Brittney Karbowski. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 00:20, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
why u sayit that every voiceactor singin negima song? that is not 100 procent true! And her resume saying Youn Pan and Pan, I add it what resume's saying.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 21:14, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
In the Negima show, all of the girls take turns singing the theme song, like four at a time. And if you have seen Dragonball Z and GT, you'll know that there's just one age for Pan in Z (baby/young), and one age for Pan in GT (teen) where she is a starring character. Podcast

Hi Anguswoof, here is the proof that podcast profile from actors are not fanmade! see above again. Kate Bristol role's: Musa=Yes Astrid/Jessica/Allie=Yes Pan=Yes. Are role's on herp rofile she have voiced or voice! so what u need more for Kreany?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:46, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

What proof? You didn't provide any link to the podcast! AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:52, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
I mean this proof!http://website.everythinggeekpodcast.com/egp/?page_id=1361 all role's are correct and not incorrect so that means that this is also correct for Lanto's profile.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 15:00, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
That's only part one of the referencing. You need to hunt down the actual podcast where the host says her roles. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:04, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

Birthday

Hi Anguswoof, Do u have any a proof from a people who saying things about the birthday from Kate B? I can't find a source where a person or she self saying that this day is her birthday! Or do u have more profe from page's where she saying I am 12 now?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 19:41, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

I don't have any birthday articles, but if you look at the infobox for the article it says {{Birth based on age as of date|df=no|11|2001}}<!-- self-pub: She made her voice over debut in the 2001 anime Fruits Basket at the age of 11 with FUNimation Entertainment. --> The self-pub is from her website biography. So that's as far as we can pinpoint on her age. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:44, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Sock?

Hi Angus, this person seems like a candidate for scrutiny. I'm getting a Gabriella~four.3-6 sock vibe from them. Most of their edits are marked as minor, which Gabriella was doing lately. I don't see any intersections between her and the other Gabriella socks just yet, other than at Ever After High. If you could keep an eye on her and let me know if anything weird pops up, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:45, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Okay, will keep an eye out on those pages. I see a lot of synth/OR material added to other pages. I don't know if there's an IP to trace down. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:27, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Hey Cyphoidbomb Check out her history on School for Vampires [20] and compare it to October. [21] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 15:39, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
I filed SPIAngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:03, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
And it's been confirmed. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 16:20, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Nice work! Thanks for slugging through it. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:40, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Might be worth eyeing her too. Creating links to Candy Witch, (like here and here) an article that Comito created as a redirect to Witch (Hansel and Gretel). She must've not noticed that it had been deleted. She is likely to recreate it. At Ever After High, she added a link to Apple White, which goes through this redirect created by Comito. It's likely that you'll see more odd intersections like this. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:15, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

So far Sarah has focused on making lots of redlinks. I don't see the minor edits and unsourced OR/synth behavior, but yeah we shall see if she gets to be as disruptive. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 14:35, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

AngusWOOF You are welcome. :) re: article. Sort of. Not sure then if you saw my new notes under this section of your talk page. Tankytoon (talk) 04:42, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Resume

Hi Anguswoof, When u say it that there is no a young Pan, why I seeo n the wiki and btva the name young Pan? It is also list on Kate B's resume Youn Pan and just Pan. And when u say it that Rebecca Soler voice Tecna, why she say it Techna on twitter & resume and why Soler saying Magical girls doremi in place of the normal name in english.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:43, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Regarding Kate Bristol's role in DBZ and DBGT, I see now what you're talking about. She doesn't voice the regular Pan who is a teenager in GT (Elise Baughman does). And in DBZ, Pan is just a baby/toddler regardless. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:53, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
Regarding Rebecca Soler and Tecna, what is your concern there? She's said she voices Tecna in the 4kids version. She even replied to your tweet about it. On her resume she lists season 3 as when she voiced in Winx Club. And on the closing credits, her name is listed in season 3. Are you questioning any of that?
Regarding Magical Doremi, the voice actors don't necessary list the official English title version on their resumes as they don't influence how the product is finally marketed. They mainly list the title as they remember it when they worked on it. I believe Fox called it Magical Doremi (or MAGICAL DoReMi if you care about stylization) [22] AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:03, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
I mean: Why she spelled Techna? And why not Tecna? Tecna is the just spelling. Techna is a mistake spelling. It is with non "H" in the name, why the other names from the characters are not spelled with a mistake and why only Tecna? And Kate B also voiced Young Pan in Z.--Maxie1hoi (talk) 17:56, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
Like I said before, voice actors aren't concerned about the spellings of the characters they voiced, but that they only remember if they voiced them. Since there aren't other characters named Techna with H on the show, there's no confusion who she meant. As for Kate B and Young Pan, Pan is only a baby/toddler in Z. She isn't portrayed with multiple ages as with other characters like Goku, Gohan, Trunks or Dende. So there is no need to add "young" unless you can cite a credits listing that indicates otherwise. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:34, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
When I ask it on twiter that she is Tecna in season 3, I am correct spelled. I spelled Tecna not Techna, so why she spelled error back?--Maxie1hoi (talk) 20:20, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
Did you not read what I had posted? Are you going to complain when someone says they voiced Branden instead of Brandon or Roxie instead of Roxy or Leila instead of Layla? AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:15, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

Kaiji Tang being charted.

I managed to turn the video games section on Kaiji Tang's page into a role chart with sources. Majority of the roles on the chart came from his resume. Some other roles I found using info from other confirmed sources. Is it possible for you to turn the bullet point list into a role chart for the anime and films section. Also, a NEED SOURCE section would be helpful. If you can do that, I'd be pleased. Thanks. :) UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 01:02, 17 April 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I'll see what I can do. Thanks for converting the video games. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 02:18, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Done I've put in the basic roles for Tang in the anime and video section. Similar ones can be made for Animation and Live action. He voices in Skullgirls project. Also threw in some refideas on the talk page for more sources. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 03:37, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
I've added some info in Tang's biography. I borrowed some of the sources from the talk page to add info. Also, since I know gaming reliable sources, I'm pretty sure GameFAQs is against WP:RS since the site is WP:UGC. UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 17:57, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
The GameFAQs one is just to bring attention to a tumblr message that had an interview as another reference to look up. I agree I wouldn't use GameFAQs either unless it's coming from CBS Interactive staff. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 17:59, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
Can you write some more information in the lead on his most important roles? There's no mention up front what he is notable for. His local theatre work and role in the zombie film aren't the reasons why he should be listed in Wikipedia, and can be moved to a career section. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:39, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
UltraDark can you make sure the statements you write about Tang are presented neutrally? The language about loving his work is a bit WP:PEACOCK-like or WP:RESUME-like. also make sure to highlight his most notable voice roles in the lead. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 19:50, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
I wrote some info regarding Tang's notable roles and I removed all of the PEACOCK wordings and made it more neutral-oriented. If the info I've added is good for you, you can thank me for that. UltraDark:) 2 CHAT 17:06, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

finding confirmations or reliable sources for this article

@AngusWOOF: I need you help on finding confirmations or reliable sources for this article of Janice Kawaye, this is the discussion that we've be talking about for sometime now: Videos of Janice's game roles

And here's the twitter topic that I've started not too long ago: Confirmation search

But now this is becoming more serious, he can't hold these as he called it, "rumored game credits", any longer cause as he said, 'I do not believe Wikipedians who cannot find reliable sources of information', and we have to save these game credits right away, before hey disappear from the aricle, forever, so tell me, will you help me on this?! :) NJOrozco 20:40, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

They won't disappear forever. You can always look them up in ANN and IMDb. I'd nuke them until you have proof from the video game itself or from her website / twitter. As for that article in general, you need to find more articles like THIS and describe why she should even have a Wikipedia article. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:04, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
