Foreign-language text
Hi, I've reverted some of your edits to User talk:Bocanegra1973 and their user page. There's considerable latitude with what people do with their own user pages. This one appears to be a draft article, and so it's perfectly acceptable there, even if it's in a different language. Generally, article text in a foreign language is not immediately removable, even in article space (WP:NPPNE). – Uanfala (talk) 15:14, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
@Uanfala:, I have just read (WP:NPPNE) and I have understood my mistake, it will never happen again.Andrew Base (talk) 15:19, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- Don't worry, we all make mistakes. And wikipedia's guidelines and practices aren't exactly always the most intuitive at first. Thank you for your contributions! – Uanfala (talk) 15:22, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
Happy editing.Andrew Base (talk) 15:31, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
Pending changes reviewer granted
Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright for three months, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages
I see you recently accepted a pending change to May 13 that did not include a direct source.
You're probably not aware of this change, but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the content guideline and the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. I've gone ahead and un-accepted this edit and backed it out.
All the pages in the Days of the Year project have had pending changes protection turned on to prevent vandalism and further addition of entries without direct sources. As a pending changes patroller, please do not accept additions to day of year pages where no direct source has been provided on that day of year page. The burden to provide sources for additions to these pages is on the editor who adds or restores material to these pages. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 19:20, 13 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi Toddst1, I wasn't aware that the pages in the Days of the Year project required sources so I accepted that revision. From the next time, if they dont provide any source I will not accept their changes. Andrew Base (talk) 03:57, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
CVUA Graduation
CVU Academy Graduate | |
Congratulations from both myself and all of the instructors at the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy on your successful completion of the Counter Vandalism Unit Academy. You completed your final exam with a score of 97%. Well done! Further information on your achievement can be found here.
I've really enjoyed interacting with you during the course - you put a lot of work in a short space of time, and clearly understand how to go about keeping vandalism out of Wikipedia. It can be a thankless and repetitive task, but it is absolutely vital for maintaining the quality of our articles, and I thank you sincerely for all the work you have done so far - and I hope you will continue! If you ever want any advice on anything you come across, or just a second opinion on something, know that you are always welcome on my talk page any time. Congratulations again, and I hope to see you around! GirthSummit (blether) 11:51, 14 September 2019 (UTC) |
@Girth Summit: Thanks Girth, this course was very enjoyable.Andrew Base (talk) 11:53, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

Indentation
Hi greetings, I would like to share you some information about indentation in discussions. Good indentation makes prolonged discussions easier to read and understand. When you reply to a comment you should be indented beneath that comment using :
(colon) in the left of your reply. Also when replying to another comment beneath a comment (with one ":
") you can use two colons("::
") and so on. Happy editing. Regards.--PATH SLOPU 09:13, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
@Path slopu: Thanks for the information. I used the legacy option log in into huggle and gave my wikipedia username and password but it still says that 'authentication requires user interaction which is not supported by the action login. To do this action see Special:BotPasswords. To continue using main account login see action=clientlogin'. Can you help me?Andrew Base (talk) 09:57, 14 September 2019 (UTC)
- If you have complaint with legacy login, you can use botpassword login. It is more secure than legacy login. --PATH SLOPU 16:01, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
@Path slopu: I'll try the bot password login tomorrow.Andrew Base (talk) 17:15, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
@Path slopu: I successfully logged in using the bot password. But which button will I use to revert vandalism?Andrew Base (talk) 09:03, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi greetings, please see this page-mw:Manual:Huggle/Main toolbar. You can find a revert button in the Main toolbar. Also read this page -mw:Manual:Huggle to learn about the options in huggle. Also consider indentation on posting messages. Best of luck!--PATH SLOPU 14:16, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Path slopu: when I click the revert and warn user button in huggle it does not revert the edit but instead scroll down in the recent changes. Can you help?Andrew Base (talk) 14:45, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, it will take some seconds for the revert. Best. PATH SLOPU 16:13, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

The Honeymooners and notability
Hi again Andrew - I see you've started NPP training with CASSIOPEIA - good luck with that, I hope it goes well. I'm sure this will come up at an early stage in the training, but I wanted to drop you a personal note about why I !voted against your AfD of The Honeymooners.
I came across the article in the NPP queue not long after you reviewed it. I'm not sure whether you have looked closely at the NPP flowchart yet, but please take a look at it now (here for ease of reference). When an article is unsourced, but it contains a credible claim of significance (pretty much automatic for a feature film), and it's not a BLP, the next step is to search for sources yourself. I simply Googled the name of the film + the name of the director, and got a bunch of good hits. When that happens, AfD isn't the way to go, even when the article itself is poor. You can argue that an article is so bad that TNT applies, but that doesn't really fit the bill here - if the entire plot section were to be deleted, and a couple of refs attached to the lead, we'd have a decent stub - that's a better outcome than having no article at all, and potentially upsetting a new editor by deleting their first article. I hope that makes sense.
CASSIOPEIA - apologies for treading on your toes here - Andrew recently completed CVUA with me, and I just wanted to explain why I voted against them on this one. Cheers both! GirthSummit (blether) 18:43, 26 September 2019 (UTC)
- Girth Summit, Thanks for the note. I have set up NPP Assignment 1 for Andrew Base, but Base has yet to make/answer a single edit/question so far. AfD would come in the later Assignment. Andrew Base, Girth Summit advice is right, we dont nominate an article to AfD simply it is unsourced. Do suggest you to read up the material as per the subpage assignment 1 and do the exercises. If you are not interested in NPPSchool program after you have requested the enrollment, then pls let me know. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:23, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
@Girth Summit: Hey Girth, thanks for the note and of course you can vote freely in AFD and CASSIOPEIA I have completed the first assignment in NPP.Andrew Base (talk) 11:54, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
