Nice work on the {{ValidateUP}} proposed template redesign. Hopefully we can work together on more templates in the future. Now, maybe one of these days we'll see our work go live! 930913 (Congratulate/Complaints) 05:10, 14 July 2010 (UTC) |

RE:Rihanna discography
Well I didn't mean just those past five edits, the user's complete overhaul of the pages is almost 50 edits behind, with the correct version at 01:57, 24 July 2010 by Lil-unique1. I believe this user has attempted in the past to combine all tables in the discography, but however to FL critera, and other FL lists, certifications go in the box and the tables are split, among other things the user has changed. The article was good, and with these changes it may be demoted, and didn't need to be. Candyo32 23:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Special Education
It would appear that Eliane Schlessel and Sock master Jessica Liao are the same person. The copy and paste violation you noted was part of a series of edits by Eliane Schlessel in the last day or so. I have reverted Special education to the last edit before any contribution from Eliane Schlessel which eliminates the issue which raised your concerns dolfrog (talk) 11:37, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Editing Wiz Khalifa Article
How can I safely remove the Flight 420 mixtape from the Wiz Khalifa article? And also add the fact that Wiz Khalifa is signed with Atlantic records?
thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.54.88 (talk) 02:46, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
- You need to find a reliable source for the removal (something that says why it isn't true), as it seems to be disputed. —mono 02:53, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
stop deleting the sentence, "He is currently signed to Atlantic Records." I wouldn't make it up... look: http://www.xxlmag.com/online/?p=86975 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.165.54.88 (talk) 03:11, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Please see evan's debugger talk page
I think if you look at the OllyDBG entry, this is much the same thing, just for linux. Its a useful tool that is widely undocumented and unheard of. I thought if there was at least a wikipedia article (much like ollydbg for windows), then it would perhaps inform people of other options available to them. What exactly should I rewrite/change as it sounds really straight forward to me? Although I did write it so that's why I'm asking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.166.92 (talk) 20:01, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- The problem IS that it is undocumented. The only available information is available from the developer. Wikipedia needs 3rd party, reliable sources for inclusion. We can't host original research, or articles based sole off first party sources. --ANowlin: talk 20:03, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks
Thanks for reviewing and accepting Leonard Jackson (actor). From your recent contributions, looks like for every article accepted you ended up declining five others and putting on hold another five or so. That was the first time I used the AFC process, and it was interesting to see how it worked.
BTW, WP:ACH may have some bugs; as you can see from my contributions, two articles you accepted (Godfrey M. Bockius House and Realized variance), appear to have had fragments of the template that WP:ACH tried to remove. You might want to check some others.
Regardless, thanks again for your help. 67.100.126.28 (talk) 21:13, 15 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there,
Saw that case earlier and saw the checkuser info, I feel it would be better served with a phonecall rathor than an email, as email would fail to convey the level of abuse.
Seeing as I'm in Australia I'd be more than happy to do that.

Australian Academy of Design page
Dear Anowlin,
Thanks for helping get my first Wikipedia entry online. I'm wondering, however, why the current version is completely lacking body text (apart from external links). Looking at the edit history it appears this stuff got wiped off when you removed the last tag. Was this an error or did I do something horribly wrong?
Apologies if this is a stupid question. I'm new to the game and I'm trying to figure it out as I go.

Declined AFC (Lee Alexander)
You declined an article that I submitted on the songwriter/musician Lee Alexander, due to non-notability, and I wanted to ask you for more information. Specifically, WP:COMPOSER seems to indicate that songwriters/lyricists credited on notable works are notable, and six of Alexander's songs (as well as three albums on which he's credited as a songwriter on a quarter to half of the tracks) already have Wikipedia pages. All of this is documented on the submitted page. So, I'm not sure what I'm missing here. Can you help me understand this?
Thanks for your time!

- Still hoping for a response here... I'd like to continue working on the page and resubmit, but without understanding exactly how the first attempt fell short, I fear I'm likely to miss the mark again and wind up wasting everybody's time. Declined Article Submission
Dear Anowlin,
The following is the link to the page containing the proposed Dog Ear Publishing page: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Dog_Ear_Publishing.
I was wondering why you decided that Dog Ear Publishing isn't notable enough of an organization/business to have its own article. The reason why I am asking is that I am having a tough time determining what makes Dog Ear Publishing not notable enough yet other self publishing companies with just as much notability already have articles about them posted on Wikipedia. The large majority of the list can be found in the following category whose web address is the following: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Book_publishing_companies_of_the_United_States. The companies which I would question in particular are companies exactly like Dog Ear Publishing - and often with far less notability. For example, Outskirts Press, AuthorHouse, iUniverse, and xLibris.
Now, I admit that I work for Dog Ear Publishing as a summer intern. Even though I haven't worked for the company for long, I still have learned a bit about other major publishing companies, and to be honest, about half of the pages in this category are of companies that I have never heard of before. With several books reviewing the major self publishing companies all including Dog Ear Publishing in their reviews makes me wonder what these articles detailing smaller, lesser known publishers have done to give themselves enough notability for a Wikipedia article. Additionally, many of Dog Ear's authors have Wikipedia articles which mention Dog Ear Publishing. The total number of existing Wikipedia articles that mention Dog Ear Publishing is over 500. Is there any way to be able to use this towards our advantage, or is that fact, when proposing an article, completely irrelevant? I want to get this article approved and every editor who has reviewed the articles all mention problems with notability like you said, and I would like to know what you would specifically suggest that I do to fix the notability issue.
Thank you for your time and efforts and I would love to hear your thoughts on this subject. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ahsulli (talk • contribs) 17:53, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

The article Jerry Rice, Jr. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence that the subject meets WP:ATHLETE. Notability is not inherited.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:32, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- I am not the author of this page. This page was originally created as a redirect to a section in an existing article discussing Mr. Rice. I don't know who decided to add content to it, but no need to notify me. If you'd notice, the article was created via AfC Redirect Requests. You might want to notify the author of content in the article. ANowlin talk 19:12, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Binksternet
Greetings. I have posted my thoughts (finally) in the older section which has been marked resolved. I hope this isn't a negative thing but I just wanted to explain myself so people could get a feeling of how I felt. I am concerned that he may have his powers reinstated which I fear would be unjust.
In speaking with user Toddst1 I can see the Kurdo777 has also found an issue with Binksternet and I feel that should be raised. The fact that he has not apologized or even neutralised the article still leaves me feeling a bit down on the whole situation.
Despite this, I'm really hoping I can contribute to wiki on a more regular basis as I feel I'm learning the codes, it's all just so terribly confusing at the start. 123.243.203.94 (talk) 06:27, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
