[edit] Hello, I'm William Harris. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Weimaraner and Wirehaired Vizsla have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia.
Please refer to WP:SPAM by clicking on the link. William Harris (talk) 10:23, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
Hey William, no advertising was intended i have written a couple of great articles on Weimaraner Dog Breeds and thought people would find it helpful. if I wanted to advertise I would have used Google ads.
Please take a moment to check out the Article before removing and saying its advertising.
- In addition to the articles, there is promotional advertising. One could almost assume the articles were written as a platform for advertising. If you have "written a couple of great articles on Weimaraner Dog Breeds", then feel free to add the text to those articles, rather than a link to a promotional website - just as long as the text is properly WP:CITEed to WP:RELIABLE sources, else it can be removed. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Ragdoll, you may be blocked from editing. Also, please make sure you sign your comments with ~~~~. Seemplez 11:04, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

- @Amerheb2018: Maybe you should take a look at What Wikipedia is not. Seemplez 11:36, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for Providing that Link and i am sorry for seeming like spammy and discruptive user i though the article i wrote about Ragdoll Cats and Being an owner myself would be beneficial for people searching and wanting to know more about these wonderful cats. i thought that on wikipedia anyone can edit and add to this platform even a normal person like me and if other dont like the content they can remove it but i wont be adding anymore links if thats the policy, Thanks for clarifying Amerheb2018 (talk) 11:40, 16 September 2020 (UTC) plez
- Note: We are not bosses, we are Recent Changes Patrollers who are trying to advise you how to follow some rules. However, if you continue on your present course, one of the Wikipedia regulators (called Administrators) will be attracted to this page. That may result in an issue for you. William Harris (talk) 22:56, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Anyone can edit Wikipedia and provide content, but as with all websites the content is regulated. Wikipedia has its own policies that are comprehensive and found at WP:POL. Nobody knows all this stuff when they first edit here, which is why you are experiencing our recommended "guidance". Please regard it as friendly advice rather than admonishment. However, be aware that as the number of notices increase on this page, the likelihood of attracting other not-so-friendly attention will increase. William Harris (talk) 22:56, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Coloring book. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
