Hi, I wish to remove this info as it is defemation — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.173.85 (talk) 17:46, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

I've reverted myself, but can you please expand and elaborate on what you mean? Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 17:48, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous or harmful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.173.85 (talk) 17:50, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Pardon the interruption, but if I may ask the IP: why do you consider the BBC an unreliable source? It was cited as the source in the text in question. Or are your objections with the Mirror, or the one sentence about being bailed out after the charges? —C.Fred (talk) 17:53, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Dear Sir This message is in regards to know about the reason why you have removed my video description that has been made by me in Our lives (The Calling) page. May i know the reason. Let me tell you one thing that i hadn't copy that text from anywhere. I have explained the whole video in my own wordings and for me it was not that much easy. Without giving any prior notice how can you do this. I cann't do it again because i don't have that much time. I think you don't have manners or etiquettes. Before doing this you must inform me instead of deleting my description. And also now i m not going to improve any artical in wikipedia. Thanks & Regards — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.251.81.230 (talk) 08:19, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

You need to write it from a neutral point of view, which you didn't. Please see WP:CONFLICT for information. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 08:24, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

"You are apparently promoting Scaruffi work using biased language"

That user is not me; you are mistaken. Liftmoduleinterface (talk) 20:57, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Please look at your talk page again. That message was not from me. - Amaury (talk) 20:58, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

The message below from Tbhotch is a response to a message I left at User talk:Tbhotch: Feedback

Yeah, they were vandalism[1], but they were re-reverted. Also, thank you for removing vandalism from my talk page. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 05:26, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

And I just crossed out my message on your talk page because I contacted the user that reverted my reverts instead, haha! But thank you. I was just playing it safe. And you're most definitely welcome. - Amaury (talk) 05:29, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello. This message is in regards to the deletion of text I made to the article: Cape fur seal. I'm quite new to the Wikipedia community and I wanted to be able to change the title of "Brown fur seal" to "Cape fur seal" since that is a more common name to that species of seal. The reason I deleted the text is because I wanted to get rid of the redirect that caused the article "Cape fur seal" to be redirected to "Brown fur seal". If you could do that task for me, that'd be great. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Friendlyvmkguy (talkcontribs) 20:28, 27 May 2013 (UTC)

Are you saying you want the page I reverted your unexplained blanking on to be deleted? Am I understanding you right? - Amaury (talk) 20:41, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Sorry for the confusion. I'm simply trying to change the title of the original article "Brown fur seal" to "Cape fur seal", but I don't know how to. I went to the option "move" and it told me I had to get rid of the redirect if I wanted to change the title. I tried deleting the redirect by getting rid of the text from the "Cape fur seal" page, but now I am stumped. I understand you don't have the admin capabilities of deleting a page so that's why I am asking you, as I'm guessing an experienced person on Wikipedia, to resolve the problem. And to answer the question, no I am not trying to get you to delete the page you reverted. Thanks.
I would tag the page you want to delete with a speedy deletion criteria of G7 (blanked or request by author) and then see if you move the article you want. - Amaury (talk) 02:31, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Okay, notify me if and when I'm able to move it. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Friendlyvmkguy (talkcontribs) 02:41, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

I would hold off on any deletion requests, the moves you are making are controversial at best.--Kevmin § 04:33, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi Amaury, That IP has some anger issues doesn't he? :) —Σosthenes12 Talk 17:17, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Certainly does. :) - Amaury (talk) 17:19, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Hey Amaury, Just curious, this guy can't do anything serious like hack into our accounts or computers can he? —Σosthenes12 Talk 17:29, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
I wouldn't worry about it. There are always users or IPs like this. - Amaury (talk) 17:30, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

The message below from Markturner is a response to a message I left at User talk:Markturner: May 2013

This is Mark Turner again, [2]. Thanks for the guidance; OK, I see, the links to the university press sites for the books are gone, and I understand how linking to the description from the publisher, even a university publisher, could be seen as promotion. I am sorry to have caught myself in a whirlpool of confusion. Last night, I made some changes that kept disappearing, and so I remade them as I went, but that seems to have precipitated a cascade I don't follow. Although I was a UNIX sysadmin in early life, I do not know anything about Wikipedia. Someone made a page for me long ago, and from time to time I have edited it to remove factual ambiguity or add links to things like university press sites for the books in the bibliography. The editors seem now to be asking for more external sources. There are a ton of these on my own webpage, but thought it inappropriate to put them on Wikipedia. I just added, using an IP address login, an external source: David Brooks reviewed my work in an article in The Atlantic Monthly, and uses it in his TED talk. I placed both of these on my Wikipedia page, under external links. Is this the right thing to do, or the wrong thing to do? There are people in countries all over the world eager to make such edits. Would it be better if they did them? Also, Case Western Reserve University's Youtube account carries a lecture by me presenting some of my research. Is that a good external source, or promotion? Thanks for the guidance. Markturner (talk) 16:40, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm not too sure. I would read up on WP:ELNO. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 16:44, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Please note that I wish to delete the page i created on Krishna Athal. This page does not contain any valid information anymore. Kindly help me in deleting it. regards Jawaharlall.athal BabaSant 18:56, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Done. Tagged with the speedy deletion criteria of G7 (blanked or request by creator). Thanks for explaining why. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 19:00, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
And I've reverted that - CSD G7 is only applicable where "the author of the only substantial content has requested deletion in good faith" - there have been multiple contributors. AndyTheGrump (talk) 19:10, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Understood. - Amaury (talk) 19:35, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I was adding the hidden facts. I am a Indian and living in sambalpur. My teacher once said that the diamonds were found in hirakud. And after the constuction of dam it is now in the deep beneath of the dam. So, please let me add the following facts.so can I add now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhinashpanda (talkcontribs) 21:41, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Please check your talk page again. I wasn't aware it was it was a level four warning. I've replaced it with a general note. - Amaury (talk) 21:49, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

I updated Tilth because it was merely a dictionary definition, which is not appropriate in Wikipedia. Someone else had already tagged it as likely to be so. I changed it to a redirect to Wiktionary, which already had a complete replacement for the former contents of Tilth in Wikipedia. You reverted that change. If you think the encyclopedia needs an article about Tilth, then I strongly recommend that you *write* an encyclopedia article about Tilth -- rather than merely restoring the inappropriate article that was there before my edit. Your kind of automaton-like reversion of changes is what kept me from contributing to Wikipedia for years, about three years ago. I just got tired of getting into an edit war with some self-appointed censor about every stupid little improvement I made. Happily, your reversion is the first time this has happened in many months of constructive improvements I've made (check my contribs page). Please consider not being so quick on the trigger to decide that somebody else's work is worthless -- or you'll find that only worthless people BOTHER to contribute. Gnuish (talk) 04:23, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Please remember to assume good faith with editors. I misclicked and didn't realize it until I got your message. I'll go ahead and remove the warning. However, examining your removal, if you want my personal advice, I would bring it up your concerns on the talk page of the article first and see what others thing. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 04:32, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
OK, you updated the note on my talk page with a strikeout font, but you didn't restore the Tilth page that you "misclicked" on. It's been an hour, were you planning to do that? I hesitate to revert your change, despite your admission that it was a misclick. You've made 8 other Wikipedia changes in the interim. I'm looking for evidence of that good faith that I am now assuming. BTW, I don't actually want personal advice on how to WP:BOLDly edit Wikipedia from someone who vandalized my work. Please let an uninvolved editor give personal advice if any is necessary. From looking at other edits you've recently made, you revert a lot of true vandalism - thank you! Gnuish (talk) 05:43, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Go ahead and redo the change if you want. Cheers! - Amaury (talk) 05:45, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the cookie! Gnuish (talk) 05:25, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

I don't mean to be petty, but when you show me a scientific study that shows ketchup as a common ingredient of cheesesteaks, then I'll allow you're undoing of my edit. It is a purely opinion based idea (as you can tell by the lack of a citation at the end of the description section). I'm going to change it back again if you do not give me a viable source to make me believe otherwise, because I do not want people to ruin perfectly good cheeseteaks with ketchup.
