[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from 2016 Adelaide Football Club season. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. tables
[edit]Read Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility/Data tables tutorial. Do the tables correctly. I emphasize the s because you keep putting things in one table. Bgwhite (talk) 01:54, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

2016 Adelaide Football Club season
[edit]Hi, thank you for your edits to the 2016 Adelaide Football Club season page, there's just a few issues I've noticed with the way you've been editing the page. Since you're still relatively new to Wikipedia, there's a few issues that conflict with some of the guidelines on Wikipedia. In terms of the table, there has already been a post about this on your talk page, but the way you've been grouping the table with both players and coaches is against the Wikipedia Manual of Style, particularly avoiding column headers in the middle of the table, and is a main priority in fixing on Wikipedia. Unfortunately because you think "they belong together" is not enough justification to group them, the guidelines on Wikipedia are generally from a long-term consensus which users have agreed to, therefore, even though the 2016 Adelaide Football Club season page wouldn't be a highly viewed page, the page should still meet these guidelines, which numerous users have agreed to.
Another issue I've noticed is the use of colours in the columns in tables, the colours you have been using have no connection to the Adelaide Football Club, if you look at the logo here, you will see that the appropriate colours to use are navy, gold and solid red. Due to a lack of edit summaries, we cannot figure out why you persistently change the colours. All of the Adelaide navboxes meet these colours (Template:Adelaide Crows, Template:Adelaide Football Club captains, Template:Adelaide Football Club coaches, Template:Adelaide Leading Goalkickers, Template:Adelaide player squad), so any tables used that use colour representative of the team should use the aforementioned colours. If you have a reason as to why these colours should be different, you are best discussing it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Australian rules football. Wikipedia is a collaborative process, and if people disagree with your edits, the best process is to discuss the issue rather than reverting. I will return the tables and colours back to the way they were as they are the consensus and other editors besides myself have edited the page that way, if you have reasons for why it should be different please discuss the issue. As anyone can edit Wikipedia, no one should edit as if they own the page (read more here Wikipedia:Ownership of content), unfortunately the way you have been editing can be perceived as ownership of the page, please trust what other editors are doing and the edits they are doing are to improve the page.
I hope you continue editing Wikipedia, and in a collaborative way as more volunteers is very much appreciated, but please have a read of these guidelines so you can understand a bit more of what Wikipedia is about. Here is a list of the main policies on Wikipedia (Wikipedia:List of policies), and it is probably a good idea to read these too. Thanks, Flickerd (talk) 10:34, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
