Your submission at Articles for creation: Ironweb (November 1)
[edit]- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Ironweb and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you need any assistance, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk or on the reviewer's talk page.
- You can also get Wikipedia's Live Help real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- Our rule on Wikipedia is that an article topic needs to be the subject of coverage in reliable media sources that are independent of the topic. Primary sources like the company's own web page, its social networking profiles or its own press releases can be used sparingly for some supplementary confirmation of facts after enough media coverage has been shown to get the company over WP:GNG, but they cannot in and of themselves demonstrate that the company is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article — our rule is that a topic (company, person, organization, whatever) can't get into Wikipedia just by writing about themselves. These days, pretty much every company that exists at all has a web presence, every person who exists at all has Twitter and Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, and on and so forth, but it's not feasibly possible for us to maintain an article about every last company and every last person that has ever created a self-published web presence. We're trying to be an encyclopedia, not a competitor to LinkedIn — so we rely on coverage in sources that are independent of the topic's own public relations efforts, as proof that people independent of the company's own PR efforts have taken notice of it. Hope that helps a bit. Bearcat (talk) 13:27, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
