The purpose and terminology in the Wikipedia comments above remain obscure in the absence of any specific examples. For example, no citation was given to illustrate the charge of nonsense in the Joe Lieberman article. That Lieberman supported legislation that would have permitted the execution of minors is a matter of public record.

With no specific example given, this comment is gratuitous. All of my additions have been referenced. I wonder what the specific allegation of this comment was. Political prejudice?

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Joe Lieberman. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. With no specific example given, this comment is, also, gratuitous. All of my additions to the Joe Lieberman article were based on heavily documented and referenced publications from the Congressional Record to online analysis of his votes on Senate bills. Lieberman's support for federal legislation to permit the execution (death penalty) of minors and underage children has been a part of the public record for the past decade.

Further steps necessary to address the copyright concerns at George Berkeley Ross

Hello. With respect to this article, I wanted to point out to you that the release you've posted at the site is not quite sufficient for Wikipedia's purposes. Material on Wikipedia must be released for reuse and modification (the preparation of derivative works), which is why we specify above that material must be other public domain or released under GFDL. All of our content is released under GFDL, and so material that we copy must be as well. We can't release it under more liberal license than it is released to us. If you are able to make a change at the source indicating that it is released under GFDL, please do so and note that at the article's talk page, and the contents may be restored.

I'm sorry that these additional steps are necessary, but since Wikipedia does not require identity verification at account creation, we must have external verification of permission to utilize other sources that are not already public domain or GFDL. The potential legal ramifications for Wikipedia and the possible commercial ramifications for copyright holders (who will lose control of material utilized here) makes it necessary for us to take these additional steps.

This article was deleted capriciously and even though it clearly met the criteria for notability. No aspect of the article was specified as failing to meet the requirements prior to the summary deletion. This summary and precipitous action raises the possibility that the deletion of the article was an act of vandalism and violated the guidelines of Wikipedia. Please, note the following doctrine copied directly from the relevant Wikipedia guidelines:

For articles of unclear notability, deletion should be a last resort.

Accordingly, please, send a copy of the deleted article to my talk page in order for it to be restored or restore (undelete) the article for further editing. Brian Archer is to the be subject of a future obituary in major international journals which will provide new links for the article.

Frankly, I do not know how to use a talk page and found the talk page guidelines to be perfectly superfluous.

the problem with the lack of references to the Justin A. Frank article is simple - the procedure for referencing described as, "Referencing for Beginners" is all but totally obscure - even after reading the vacuous descriptions available on wikipedia. Why isn't there a simple tool in the toolbar that creates references? It should be a one click procedure. The toolbar appears to have shrunk disastrously over the years. Information concerning Justin A. Frank who is swiftly becoming America's most prominent psychiatrist is abundant and in my control, however, the referencing procedure is completely vacant on Wikipedia. If only a few scribes are to have access to referencing, Wikipedia will be unable to keep up with the massive amount of information surging through the internet. Please, refer me to a specific and simplistic methodology for inserting superscripted footnotes in text that simultaneously creates a reference in the reference section. BTW - the referencing tag prescribed on help pagees

Thanks for this, Doug, I was frustrated by the article Ogdoad (Egyptian) and wanted to discuss its manifold inadequacies, but I found no way to call attention to them. The wikipedia article is vastly inferior to other online resources. This is due partly to the reliance on antique sources and little or no reference to the more obvious later sources such as Faulkner and Morenz. So, I added two words to another risibly inadequate article, Amun, in an attempt to link to Ogdoad(Egyptian). I was surprised when the link did not work. Thus, I abandoned all hope of improving Wikipedia due to my lack of knowledge and the fact that these inferior articles seem to be difficult to improve. Since I did nothing more than add an internal link, I thought it best to describe that procedure as a Minor Edit. If you have further advice, I would be grateful.
