Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs! moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs!, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. --AussieLegend () 09:54, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why? The first episode of the cartoon was released in 2018 by a mistake...so this show need a page...why other's future shows have a page, and this no? AlbForLife4 (talk) 09:58, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When it was released is irrelevant. Merely being released a year ago doesn't guarantee a page. Articles are expected to meet certain standards and your draft does not. There was previously a draft for this article but nobody nobody seemed interested in upgrading it and it was eventually deleted as abandoned. --AussieLegend () 10:18, 20 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Magitroopa. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kamp Koral, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magitroopa (talk) 01:34, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Garfield Originals. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. AussieLegend () 22:23, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I added 7 references on the page and you tell me that none is good? AlbForLife4 (talk) 15:54, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kamp Koral was recently the subject of a deletion discussion which you can see here. The outcome of that discussion was consensus to merge the content of the article to SpongeBob SquarePants. It doesn't matter how many references that you have, Kamp Koral has to remain redirected as a result of the deletion discussion. A single editor can't overrule the outcome of a discussion by 7 participants, especially when the discussion closed only 2 days ago. --AussieLegend () 16:06, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Would also like to point out that of those, "7 references,"- some were unverified Twitter accounts (which is being discussed), as well as a chatlog of a fan-run Wiki, which is 100% WP:NOTRS. Magitroopa (talk) 20:15, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, NickCentral (website), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I see that you have moved this draft back to mainspace, which is inappropriate. When articles are moved to draftspace, they should not be moved back to mainspace until the identified problems have been corrected. In this case that most certainly did not happen. --AussieLegend () 06:20, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, AlbForLife4. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page NickCentral (company), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Your knowledge of specifics about a non-public Nickelodeon website would suggest that you have an affiliation with Nickelodeon, Viacom, or MTV. signed, Rosguill talk 21:44, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Hey Arnold! episodes, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Arnold and Harold (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:38, 29 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at The Casagrandes. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Casagrandes, you may be blocked from editing. Amaury17:49, 4 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop restoring content that other editors have removed. You have done this several times now. One such example is at Garfield Originals. On 24 Ausgust 2019 I removed an unsourced claim that, as well as being personal commentary is unverifiable.[2] A short time ago you restored this claim.[3] I removed it again, explaining why yet tyou again restored it, deceptively claiming that you "added more info", when in reality you were reverting what my edit. This is at best disruptive but is also edit-warring, either of which could result in a block if you persist. --AussieLegend () 14:28, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Casagrandes; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Amaury15:06, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello AlbForLife4, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Garfield Originals have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. AussieLegend () 13:04, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from ARO 10 to Dacia Duster (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:42, 18 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Nickelodeon Play VoD requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://nickalive.blogspot.com/2018/09/viacom-launches-nickelodeon-play-app-in.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. • The above move was made because you inappropriately moved a draft article to article space. The draft was clearly undersourced and should never have been moved by you. Please do not do this again. If you think that a draft article is ready to be moved to article space, and that requires a lot more content that is present in this one, especially when it comes to references, submit it for review and let a more experienced editor review it. --AussieLegend () 06:47, 28 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source/license for File:Pepco logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pepco logo.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Notice

The article Pepco (store) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant English-language coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lost Media Wiki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
