Welcome!

Hello, Alaa Hany, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Ahmed Ezzat, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Rho2 Herculis. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 14:48, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Ahmed Ezzat

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Ahmed Ezzat. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Rho2 Herculis. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Rho2 Herculis – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. - Vivvt (Talk) 14:51, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ahmed Ezzat, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ahmed Ezzat, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://vimeo.com/ahemedezzat.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Speedy deletion nomination of Ahmed Ezzat

[edit]

Hello Alaa Hany,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ahmed Ezzat for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ochiwar (talk) 15:14, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright, promotion, notability

[edit]

Wikipedia cannot hold copyright material, not even in sandboxes or AfC submission pages, not even temporarily. Please read Wikipedia:Copy-paste.

Please note that assertion of permission to use text is not enough; we have to be certain that the person giving a release has the authority to do so, and that the actual copyright holder understands and agrees to Wikipedia's license terms, which allow any reader to copy, modify and re-use material for any purpose including commercial. For those reasons, a formal copyright release, as described above, is required.

It is very seldom worth making a copyright release, because the promotional tone of a company or personal website is likely to be quite unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not a notice-board for pinning up copies of promotional material. Any article that says things like "a new born star for his phenomenal singing talent... his beautiful voice and talent... " etc. will be deleted as an advertisement.

Article subjects need to have notability, which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." There is more detail at WP:Notability (people) and WP:MUSICBIO, and good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article. JohnCD (talk) 17:04, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
