Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I noticed that you made a change to an article, KQEH, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:28, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on KQEH. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 02:41, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Pink/P!nk

For purposes of identifying an individual, we use the stage name (in this case, "Pink"), not their advertising style (P!nk). The obvious case of this was The Singer Formerly Known as Prince, who for a while stylized himself with a graphic not reproducible in text. For encyclopedic purposes, we simply note the stylization, but generally don't use it in unrelated articles. Tarl N. (discuss) 03:42, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Warning #2

I see that your edits to Caillou and Reading Rainbow do not to be appeared sourced. Please provide a valid source from PBS on WHEN those shows will air and/or stop rerunning. Thank you. ACMEDeputy (talk) 22:24, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Also, I also reverted PBS Kids cause we know Thomas and Friends got moved to Nick Jr. So there's probably no need for that. ACMEDeputy (talk) 22:27, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ammayi Bagundi, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Karthik and Chitra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

National varieties of English

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Association football, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:33, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Krishna (2008 Telugu film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chakri (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

PBS bolding

This has been reverted; the PBS structure doesn't resemble that of commercial stations, so the bolding is unneeded (and outside of TV editors, nobody really knows about the bolding in the first place). Nate (chatter) 19:54, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Akandkur,

Thanks for creating List of most-viewed Youtube Indian music videos! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)

Notice

The article List of most-viewed Youtube Indian music videos has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Original research and not encyclopedic content

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of most-viewed YouTube videos into List of most-viewed Youtube Indian music videos. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. Sesame Street episodes list moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Sesame Street episodes list, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 01:59, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

IMDb, reliable sources, and user reviews

As user-generated content, we can't use content from the IMDb. Please don't copy its content into Wikipedia or cite it. This is especially true of user reviews, which are from random people on the internet. We don't even know if they've seen what they're reviewing or whether they're an automated script that has been used for vote stacking. Reviews should generally be from professional critics who are writing for reputable media organizations, such as Entertainment Weekly or The Times. A tag has been placed on File:Amanpour-Co-logo-2x.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Re this edit, figure you've cited for Main Hoo Naa and Salaam Namaste is clearly "worldwide gross," not "gross in India," which is needed for the page. File permission problem with File:Puffer Logo.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Puffer Logo.svg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:27, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

September 2022

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:List of American network TV daytime talk programs a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into List of American network TV daytime talk programs. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:26, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Hello, Akandkur

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username FormalDude, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, One Night Stand (Lonnie song), for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|FormalDude}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on One Night Stand (Lonnie song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ~ GB fan 15:04, 27 February 2023 (UTC)
