Speedy deletion nomination of Ahmed Lutfe Inam
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Ahmed Lutfe Inam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 06:57, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Ahmed Lutfe Inam. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 06:58, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.
The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia.CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 06:59, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi User:Ahmed Lutfe Inam, You can write about yourself on your User Pgae. Thank You Siddiq Sazzad (Chat) 07:08, 14 January 2018 (UTC)
- @Siddiqsazzad001: That's true to an extent. It needs to be primarily oriented toward Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a social media site or web host. This includes your user page. —DIYeditor (talk) 06:08, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Route 132 - YouTube
[edit]Hello Ahmed Lutfe Inam,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Route 132 - YouTube for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi there Ahmed, I'm an administrator on the English Wikipedia. With regard to this talk page comment, where you tell Siddiqsazzad001 to check with you before editing Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Govt. College, sorry, but that's not how it works. Any editor who is editing in good-faith is allowed to edit and shape articles. You don't own that article, Wikipedia owns the article. Please see WP:OWN. If there are specific objections that you have to Siddiq's edits, you are at liberty to open a discussion on the article's talk page to discuss. Thank you. [edit]Please do not add external links to the bodytext of articles, or make unsourced additions, as you did at Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Govt. College.

Thanks for your suggestion.
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Govt. College, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 12:04, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Govt. College, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 12:04, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

Please stop continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Jatir Janak Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Govt. College, without resolving the problem that the template refers to. This may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. - Arjayay (talk) 12:29, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, as said so.Ahmed Lutfe Inam (talk) 14:10, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- The above warning about the removal of maintenance templates would also apply to this edit, where you removed the article orphan template and the refimprove template. Considering that no other article links to that article, and the bulk of references about the school come from the primary source, i.e. the school itself, there is no justification to remove those templates. When you repair the issues, then you may remove the templates. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:22, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
- Again, your latest removal of maintenance templates here did not fix the issue. The article (again) has no other article that links to it, hence it is an "orphan", and (again) the bulk of references in the article come from a single primary source. Find more secondary sources please, and please do not remove the templates until you do. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:11, 19 January 2018 (UTC)

Please check now, I've added a secondary source. Ahmed Lutfe Inam (talk) 05:15, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
- If you remove those templates again without properly satisfying the issues, I will suspend your editing privileges. This isn't rocket science. To resolve the orphan issue, find another article that should intuitively link to that article and add a link. If you can't find an article that should intuitively (meaning, not forced) link to Uttara Town College, leave the template alone. Those directories are not sufficient secondary sources. I provided you with a link to our guidelines on how to determine what a secondary source is, but obviously you didn't read it. Find major news sites, magazines, books, something, not just random directories like this. We're trying not only to prove that the school exists, but that the information contained in the article has been checked by other established references. If you can't find a few, leave the template alone. The templates are not punishments, they exists to communicate to other interested editors that specific improvements need to be made to the article. Understand? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:43, 19 January 2018 (UTC)
Yes, I do.

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Bioscope (Live TV), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Global (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Recreation of user page
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Ahmed Lutfe Inam, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
Please do not recreate pages that have been deleted per discussion with the same content. You were aware that the delete discussion had occurred and could see the notice about that deletion on the page before re-creating it. —DIYeditor (talk) 23:43, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Removal of speedy deletion templates

Stop recreating promotional user page, per MFD decision. Stop evading/removing speedy deletion template and follow instructions above if you wish to contest it. —DIYeditor (talk) 05:51, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
ANI notice
[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved.
Request for user page
[edit]Hi, I agree that my user page was promotional. But please, I am new here. i didn't know the rules. Now how can I make my user page again? :'( I will not mention my personal info again, I promise. Just there will be a short description, contribution to Wiki and social links. Isn't that OK? AhmedLutfeInam 10:33, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
- I think that social links may have been part of the issue. But since the page was protected, I suggest asking an administrator for help (like Shirt58 who protected it). —PaleoNeonate – 10:39, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for your advice. AhmedLutfeInam 10:42, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
- Well, I think as a new user a little less leeway is given, but the user page is supposed to primarily relate to Wikipedia. As PaleoNeonate says I think the major thing that contributed to the problem was linking to social media (or mentioning it). Also linking to/mentioning the "Upwork" stuff is questionable. Generally the things about your business, social and personal life are less appropriate, and Wikipedia is not a social networking site or webhost (WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK). You have been provided these sort rules repeatedly before and it would pay to read links you are given in detail, as well as things like template instructions and notices on your talk page, so you do not, for example, repeatedly remove templates when the instructions clearly say not to do so. To be honest, I feel that you were either intentionally ignoring the personal information/web host issue that was raised so many times, or have so much difficulty reading and understanding English that things are going to be difficult for you here. Creating a user page is not the important thing here. —DIYeditor (talk) 19:18, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
January 2018
[edit]Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:Siddiqsazzad001 may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. I understand that you and this other person are friends; still, it is not advisable for you to edit his userpage. We have no way of knowing whether you are doing it with his consent. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 21:16, 22 January 2018 (UTC)
Request for user page
[edit]Hi, I strongly understand your opinions. I understood that Wikipedia is not for userpages. But as I like writings, I just want to add some writings about me. And previously I promised that it would not be promotional again. And sorry for the edits on userpage of my friend. He has some lackings of grammar and so I just fixed it. I will be very happy if you allow me to create my userpage again. And their will be no social links, I promise now. AhmedLutfeInam 05:23, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- I suggest commenting on the WP:ANI discussion about you then. —DIYeditor (talk) 05:29, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Ahmed, and thank you for your message.
- Please read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. It explains why I have decided that you should not be able to re-create your user-page.
- Peter in Australia aka --Shirt58 (talk) 09:24, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I get it. Wikipedia is not like social medias. But is there any way I can create my userpage again? I already mentioned that I would not do those mistakes again. AhmedLutfeInam 10:16, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- You have not already mentioned the issues from Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors. It should be obvious what Shirt58 is referring to. —DIYeditor (talk) 19:54, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- People are not watching Wikipedia talk:Guidance for younger editors for administrative actions, so posting there does not speak well for competency. A talk page is about discussing the contents of the page it is associated with, not for administering the topic. At this point I think you need to convince Shirt58 since he is handling this. Also you have not explained removing deletion templates when the instructions clearly say not to. Like I said, finding the WP:ANI report about you and responding there might be helpful. Seems like you need things repeated several times, which wastes other editors' time. —DIYeditor (talk) 21:40, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
Please stop removing templates if you don't know what purpose they serve
[edit]I don't understand why you removed this template. This template adds the article to a category so that interested editors know that the article needs geocoordinates so that readers will know exactly where on the planet this school is. Why would you remove it? Are you opposed to articles having geocoordinates? See the article on Dhaka? Notice the geocoordinates 23°42′N 90°22′E in the infobox? This tells us exactly where Dhaka is. Please stop removing templates if you don't know what constructive purpose they serve. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 08:04, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
Non-notable for-profit college redirected
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Uttara Town College, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected to Uttara (neighbourhood). Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.
Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 08:40, 28 December 2024 (UTC)
