Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 21:01, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Releases and Fixed-Length Iterations in Agile.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Releases and Fixed-Length Iterations in Agile.gif, which you've sourced to http://www.versionone.com/Agile101/Agile-Development-Success/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 21:42, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
Too much of VersionOne, I even saw VersionTwo - Did you?
[edit]You have been editing the following pages:
Thanks for your edits - I really appreciate your contribution. But there is one thing irks me. I see that most of your edits have references to http://versionone.com. Sounds like you are affiliated with them. :-D I dont know if copyright violation or something as such applies. You must first check with them and See WP:CP. Personally, I do NOT consider versionone as a reliable source. And quite invalid to justify stuff. I think someone should do a re-check. Thanks and Cheers! Compfreak7 (talk) 15:37, 14 May 2013 (UTC)
Possible copyright violation on "Agile software development"
[edit]Your addition to Agile software development has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. The revision in question is revision 554926628. --Mount Flatten (talk) 21:16, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
Non-free image removed from Agile software development
[edit]I removed the copyrighted image you added to Agile software development, as the use of non-free images in articles is restricted to those situations where a free version is unavailable. As there is already a free image in the article that illustrates the same concept, I removed yours. Please see Wikipedia: Non-free content for more information. --| Uncle Milty | talk | 15:58, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
- Of course, later I found File:Agile-Software-Development-Poster-En.pdf which is apparently the original and was properly uploaded and licensed. --| Uncle Milty | talk | 16:50, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:VersionOne Agile Development Poster.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:VersionOne Agile Development Poster.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. | Uncle Milty | talk | 16:04, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product.
