[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to The BrandLaureate Awards. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Request reason:
Hi (talk), (talk), (talk), (talk), (talk), (talk), (talk), please spare me 5 minutes of your dear time to evaluate this topic of "The BrandLaureate". We have taken all the feedback from you given over time trying to work this out with much effort. Below is my side of the story to this whole "AFD" process. Link :- https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/The_BrandLaureate_Awards#The_BrandLaureate_Awards
Hi WorldBruce --(talk), this block is really not necessary. Please hear me out, this is how it went down. --(talk) was the first person to edit (The BrandLaureate Awards) because he is permanently employed in this organization. When his writing was written in a disapproved manner of Wiki laws, there was feedback from fellow Wikipedians to change the Article Header to "The BrandLaureate" instead. That is when I took over because I am friends with the owner of this organization and it is out of my goodwill to assist him on this. When I was in communication with Edits Ho Cap'n!</sup ⚓, I asked if I was able to edit the draft because I couldn't find it in my "sandbox". I then proceeded to edit from the main page itself. While touching up and adding citations, links, I changed the main header of the article therefore not being aware that it was against the Wiki code. I sincerely apologies and admit this mistake. Please accept my apology as this is also my 2nd topic of edit on Wikipedia.
As for the other two (talk) & (talk) users, they are also attached with The BrandLaureate for sometime. In a positive outlook, I am actually encouraging new users to come on board and get a glimpse of how the Wikipedia World works, two of them are writers. With that being said, they are really new here and I hope they will be able to reply as I have shared a little to them on how to move about editing on Wikipedia. I read the laws/guidelines and took it seriously therefore, I didn't "sockpuppet" or control any of those id's, they are all individuals that exist. We can verify this if you need us to. Could you kindly take a re-view on this matter and guide us on how we can make this Wiki-approved. Blessings,-- (talk)
Decline reason:
You are describing what we call meat puppetry. I recommend that you take the standard offer approach to being unblocked and re-apply for an unblock in 6 months time with no socking or logged out editing. PhilKnight (talk) 17:53, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- To let you know, all the accounts Tbl2018, you, Thebrandlaureatewiki and Abrightstar have been indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry. A uninvolved administrator will review my block shortly. Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 17:50, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
Dear Wikipedians (talk) talk to me, I'm really trying my best, the four of us(ID's= Tbl2018, Aeacus10, Thebrandlaureatewiki and Abrightstar) had a meet up and discussed before proceeding to defend this Article. I am really tired and am doing my level best to learn how to move about in Wikipedia and assist my dear friend who is the owner of this organization and has been trying for years to get an article published. Can someone please guide me? I've never felt like this in a long time, so lost and hopeless :(. Please have some empathy and tell me what I can do to make this better. I want to work this out and learn further to be a legit editor/helper on Wikipedia. --Aeacus10 (talk) 02:00, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- Aeacus10, as PhilKnight said above you carried out meatpuppetry by getting other users to vote in the AfD. "
the four of us had a meet up and discussed before proceeding to defend this Article
" is describing meatpuppetry. This is against our policies, and so you and them have been blocked for that. I suggest following what PhilKnight suggests: Wait for 6 months (no logged out editing or socking/meatpuppetry in that time) and take the standard offer. Dreamy Jazz 🎷 talk to me | my contributions 02:09, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Dreamy Jazz 🎷 Sir, because 3 of them works in the organization and have been trying to get the article published for a long time. I regret my doings and understand how "meatpuppetry" works now. I acknowledge my mistake and will not do this again. Sorry. :(
Hi all users, firstly, I want to extend my apology to user (talk) for my insensitive comment earlier. I was triggered when I saw it was up for "deletion"(been working on it for awhile now) not knowing that it was a process for me to justify and try to work alongside with other Wikipedians. I never intended to "sockpuppet" as I don't know anyone here in Wikipedia neither did I create any of the 3 id's myself. The 3 id's above are staff/colleagues working in this organization. My thoughts were that they know what this organization has contributed hence we could defend the article together. I accept this block and will settle for the standard offer. Will be back here in a few months and hope to make some friends and receive guidance as I am keen to contribute to edits and learn the ropes of being a sterling Wikipedian. Thank you and apologies for any inconvenience caused. Sincerely, Aeacus10 (talk) 06:01, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
