Matt Bevin Child Rapist Pardonings

It's not burial; it's following Wikipedia's policies. The purpose of the top section (lead) of the article is to summarize the entire article, not emphasize the most recent news on the subject. As editors, we need to strive for neutrality. —ADavidB 13:58, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Hyphens

I had to revert a few of your changes of hyphens to en dashes in Washington Monument because some of the hyphens between numbers do not indicate a range. Instead, each and every page in the cited source (Historic Structure Report) has a hyphen in it (except for the front matter) at the bottom right of each page. For example, page 3-6 means page 6 of chapter 3. This page numbering system is common in engineering publications. Thus these hyphens are intentional, which is why "hyphen" is spelled out. Please read the template {{hyphen}}. Do not change any hyphen that is spelled out, and be cognizant of this exception even if it isn't spelled out. — Joe Kress (talk) 17:19, 1 January 2020 (UTC)

Maryland General Assembly

I believe my cite was properly formed. The Kindle e-reader does not have page numbers (which vary depending on the size of the letters you prefer). Instead they have "Location numbers." Ok, it wasn't evident to me that you were using Kindle to access the book. The template's "location" parameter is intended for the location (city) in which a book was published. Instead of "page", the "at" parameter seems appropriate, so I'm applying that. Kindle books also have an ASIN, so that's going in the citation too. Hello! You were kind enough to assist me with updating the David Trone article on his behalf during 2017–2018, so I was wondering if you might be willing to help with another small project, this time about a Maryland-based telecommunications company. I've been working with Ciena to identify some updates and other improvements to the current article. I'm seeking editor review via talk page requests, and I've disclosed my COI on my profile, the article's talk page, and my draft page.

In short, the current page is in poor shape; there's inaccurate content, inappropriately sourced text, and organizational issues. I've outlined some concerns specific to the History section here, and I've proposed replacing the current text with an overview of the company's early history I've saved here. I've also suggested merging of the stray "Recent Events" section (where "Recent" links to Holocene). Since you were so helpful with the Trone requests, and as a member of WikiProject Maryland, could you possibly take a look and update the article on my behalf? Thanks for your consideration. District map captions

Saw your undo and self-revert. No worries, I usually refer to MOS:CAPFRAG here. The bot that added these did a huge amount of work in building these articles, but with the same three errors in the map captions, hyphen intended as (unnecessary) dash, period though the caption is a fragment, and incorrect bold. Palmyra Atoll picture of huge Pisonia grandis

ADavidB: You may know the proper way to put a no-longer-in-copyright picture into a Wikipedia article (I don't). The 1916 Joseph F. Rock monograph about Palmyra Atoll http://hdl.handle.net/10524/23293 has a splendid picture of a huge (the largest) Pisonia grandis tree on Palmyra, as Plate XIX on page 49. Surely it's long out of copyright by now. If so, I suggest that you add it to illustrate the Palmyra Atoll article if you know how. (The man shown standing on the tree root to show scale is Judge Henry E. I am trying to revive the project to highlight the unique stories of malls across the country and the world especially as we lose more and more of them.
