ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Adamfinmo. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Re:Clarification request

This is for those times when someone nominates an article for deletion and he ends up being the one who initially created the article. In other words, if I nominated Donald Trump for deletion and the person who created the page was Sk8terPrince then in the spirit of AGF he is to be permitted one - and only one - !vote in order to participate in the relevant deletion. Outside of this very specific instance, he is now barred from participating in any deletion process, so no, he can not participate in any afd he opened if he did not create the article he has nominated for deletion. Your welcome! Sometimes it just takes a little rewording for things to suddenly become so much clearer. For my part I hope the topic ban helps (although as an admin of some years I have to say I'm not holding out too much up). All the same, people can sometimes surprise you. @TomStar81: Just one last request, would you mind closing the AfD discussions that are open that were started by Prince? In each case he did not create the article, and feel it unfair that he wouldnt be able to respond to additional feedback. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 04:07, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

I don't think that is a correct course of action. We should let those AFDs run their course on their own merits. He doesn't have to be their to defend them. If they are deletes then they won't need his help.--Adam in MO Talk 04:10, 16 December 2016 (UTC)

There's an added bonus in letting them run their course as well: Is Sk8terPrince attempts to use a sock to circumvent the topic ban then its a reasonably assumption he will come back to the articles at afd and try again, in which case we can open an SPI and perma-block the known accounts and any others that he may try to use in the future. Like Arcturus said in StarCraft II, "They say a man never really knows himself until his freedom's been taken away," so we will see how well Sk8terPrince knows himself (and I suppose how well we know this particular wiki-script).
