A tag has been placed on 2010s in fashion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Pages to be made in 2011 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. I have nominated Scene (2010s subculture), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Scene (2010s subculture). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. —KuyaBriBriTalk 16:24, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your efforts to add sources to the article, but first please review Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Sources cited for Wikipedia content need to be "reliable, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking or accuracy". Many of the "sources" you are adding consist of blogs, forum posts, and youtube videos, all of which are not considered reliable for analytic/synthetic claims as they have no reputation for fact-checking or accuracy. Furthermore, you seem to be randomly inserting these sources into the article in such a way that they do not directly support the text you are placing them in front of. Sources should directly support article text. You may wish to re-word the article text so that it reflects more closely the sources you are citing. The AfD process takes 7 days, so you have a week to improve it and comment in the AfD before a decision will be made on whether or not to delete it. Therefore there is no need to hastily add poor, random, "found-it-somewhere-on-the-internet" types of sources in hopes of saving the aritcle. Feel free to continue working on sourcing the article, but place more time, effort, and care into the quality of sources and their placement. The only sure way to save the article is to find reliable secondary sources that directly support the claims made in the text. --IllaZilla (talk) 22:49, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Serial killer category

[edit]

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the definition of serial killer. A number of categories added by you are not considered serial killers, including, but not limited to, Bobby Beausoleil, Billy the Kid, Richard Allen Davis. Serial killers have specific features, which includes the killing of more than person and specific behavioral characteristics. Please read the article on serial killers and then read the description of the crime the person was convicted of before adding an incorrect category. Thank you. Wildhartlivie (talk) 17:31, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please read the definition of a serial killer. Persons convicted of murder in connection with Mafia or mob ties are not by definition serial killers. You'll find that the actual serial killers her are already properly designated. I have had to undo dozens of articles you inappropriately tagged. Please stop. Wildhartlivie (talk) 18:00, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Kara Kopetsky requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 20:00, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Kara Kopetsky, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 20:23, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Kara Kopetsky

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Kara Kopetsky meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kara Kopetsky. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. Accounting4Taste:talk 20:35, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of permaculturalists has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

It should only list notable permaculturalists (ie those with WP articles) which would reduce the article to five entries - and that is hardly a list.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 19:52, 1 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
