I am not sure I understand. How does an article on Mathures Paul [1] or Tarapada Basu [2] meet notability guidelines but this article fails, inspite of the lady having a lot more achievements with credibility established from credible sources. Can you advise how this article can be improved to Mathures Paul standards or Tarapada Basu standards, please? Aban0001 (talk) 14:15, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Paid editing?

Hello Aban0001. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Hi, I am not being paid either directly or indirectly for the article. I do not see which of my edits give such an impression - I wished to volunteer for wikipedia and picked the kind of article that I thought would be an easy one to start off with. I do not think any of the statements made by me indicate a less than neutral point of view, and each item is searchable and documented. Before submitting, I checked for similar articles on wiki and chanced on the names I had referred to earlier, which now seem to be clearly paid works. My ask is simple - if the article does not meet your guidelines (inspite of the subject being a multiple prestigious award winning writer and journalist and also the first indian woman Konrad Adeneur fellow) then that is fine. This was more of an experiment anyway. But it is indeed irksome to see that there are so many clearly paid articles on Wiki, makes ome wonder how the names I had mentioned and others like Kusum Nair, Shiv Aroor, Subal Kumar Dey to name a few made it through.
