Table of Beijing Subway Lines
[edit]Dear ASDFGH,
I did not mean to be so blunt in reverting your map-line table combination from the Beijing Subway, which must have taken substantial thought, time and effort. I should have noted that the edits were in good faith. I listed my explanation in the discussion section. In thinking about it further, I am not categorically against such a combination. There would need to be more columns (more information) to justify stretching the table across the full width of the map. Perhaps, this can be accomplished by creating two separate columns for the terminals (with the district inserted underneath the station name in small font), and creating a new column with ridership for each line (this, however, would require periodic updates since ridership figures change over time). Another possibility is to insert a column with construction start date, which would show when and how long each line took to build (this would add a deeper historical dimension). I do feel strongly though that the table ought to group Line 1 and Batong together and Line 4 and Daxing together. We want to convey information efficiently and reduce the number of things that the reader must account for and remember. By grouping those pairs together, readers will know that those lines are related. ContinentalAve (talk) 06:34, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
A minor comment re: color scheme. Right now, the map uses red for the fastest lines, which is perfectly fine -- the most intense color ought to represent the greatest speed intensity. But orange is used for the slowest of the HSR lines, while yellow is use for the mid-speed lines. That's somewhat counter-intuitive, since orange is closer in hue to red than yellow is. Most readers would assume that orange lines are the next fastest after red. Not sure if you can change that easily. ContinentalAve (talk) 06:48, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

关于“广州地铁线路图”
[edit]阁下绘制的File:Guangzhou_Metro_MapA.png和File:Guangzhou_Metro_MapB.png很不错,但在下有一些小建议,请阁下考虑考虑:

[edit]Now the Jinbin Light railway is from Donghailu Sta. to Zhongshanmen Sta. And in the west of it is Tianjin Metro Line 9. Although They are through traffic, But the pricing is different. In the west of Zhongshanmen Sta (Tianjin Railway Sta. to Zhongshanmen Sta.) is in Tianjin metro pricing and in the east of Zhongshanmen Sta. is in Jinbin Railway pricing. So Please edit the Line Bi article (this article) as Donghailu Sta. to Zhongshanmen Sta. And edit the Line 9, Tianjin Metro as Zhongshanmen Sta. to Tianjin Railway Sta. PS: My English is very ... If you don't understand it use Google Translate to Translate my Chinese sentences or ask me...
Park1996 (talk) 12:33, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Map of Wuhan Metro Line 1
[edit]Hi ASDFGH, thank you for making the map for Wuhan Metro Line 1. I would like to add this map to the Chinese version of Wuhan Metro as well, but I noticed there are minor discrepancies of the station names with the current ones in use.
- Chalukou (岔路口) is now called Xinrong (新荣).
- Jianghan Lu (江汉路) is now called Xunlimen (循礼门). This change is due to a station on Line 2 with the same name but not at the same loction.
Other than that, it looked perfect. I would appreciate it if you could change the station names. You can refer to official site of Wuhan Metro and this picture of route names taken outside a station. Never mind the Wuhuanlu (五环路) on the official site, it is never used on a real metro map. Please let me know if you have other questions. Howchou (talk) 05:42, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Could you help me to change the File:Tianjin Subway.png?

Changing of maps in infoboxes of mainland cities
[edit]I will have to disagree with the mass of changes you are making. Adding pushpin maps for the sake of adding them is not really good. Many of these maps show the prefecture's boundaries, and in the case of infoboxes where Location of X within P (China).png is used, the location in China is already shown as a pinpoint. In that case, (e.g. 成都) adding a China pushpin map is redundant. I could possibly consider your addition of the China pushpin map on 长春 and 哈尔滨, which use the bloody red prefecture and orange province, to be redundant. In some cases, I don't see the need for four large images in the infobox: the skyline/collage and three maps. That is to me ridiculous. Thanks much. —HXL's Roundtable and Record 23:04, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
Special adminsitrative region
[edit]No where in PRC's 1982 constitution or in any law that special administrative regions are defined to be equivalent to provinces, or are placed within PRC's administrative division hierachy. Before removing {{cn}} tags please provide reliable, authoritative and legally binding source justifying such claims. Thank you. 218.250.143.16 (talk) 22:52, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
With all due respect, the 1982 constitution was formulated how many years before 1997? In which case, you should be referring to the Basic Law of Hong Kong, and not the constitution. What you have said makes just as much logic as citing Roman Law to discuss the legality of Hitler's leadership in Germany.-- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs email 04:59, 6 June 2011 (UTC)- Well, it appears that he was referring to the 2004 Revision of the PRC constitution. Be more clear next time. -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs email 05:43, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- As far as Article 31 (which provides for the establishment of special administrative regions) is concerned, it has never been amended since the 1982 Constitution was promulgated. None of the amendments to the 1982 Constitution touches on Article 31. When we talk about laws, e.g., an act titled Foo Act 1801, we still call it Foo Act 1801 even if two of the sections of the original act were amended by Foo Amendment Act 1902. 218.250.143.16 (talk) 09:29, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

I am currently in Taichung and have seen barely any construction for the Green Line.
