Information icon Hello, I'm Peaceray. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Bishop Museum, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 19:37, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Art Gallery of Ontario. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Peaceray (talk) 19:40, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Mount Laurel, New Jersey. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Peaceray (talk) 19:50, 12 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Being new to Wikipedia, my company is listening to the advice of several editors who advised us that if we wanted to make a credible page, we would need to also make edits. The information that was added, was for museums that we have fabricated. We were under the impression we were allowed to add information. Not knowing we would be blocked. We would appreciate if you would please reconsider the indefinite block that has been put on our company page. We are trying to navigate this very difficult realm. We are also trying to create a bio page in the way the I dream of horses advised. Thank youALWMaltbie (talk) 14:10, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

In short, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not free ad space. "Its located off of Route 73 and is his hip, fresh and the right price." - that may be suitable for a tourism website or the hotel's own website, but not for an encyclopedia article about the town. What you wrote about your own company is even worse; adding its name to dozens of articles is spamming. The advice I dream of horses gave you to find another outlet, not Wikipedia, that's more suitable to your purposes. Huon (talk) 00:14, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Good morning, I'd like to thank you for reviewing our unblock request, but I have to make a correction that I saw within your reason for declining my request. Within your answer, you stated that we wrote something to the extent that Kubik Maltbie is "located off of route 73 and is hip and fresh." I'm very sorry, but unless we were hacked by someone, we never wrote such a thing. We are indeed a legitimate museum and exhibit fabrication company, located in New Jersey. And what I attempted to explain to the editor, in my request from yesterday, is that one of our interns was advised that to "edit" for credibility they needed to edit 10 different content. So they proceeded with adding our role of fabrication to several client's pages. Obviously, we now know that was incorrect advice in setting up a page and that if we edit, we must also source the information. This advice was suggested, to our intern, by another editor who has been working on several Wikipedia pages for various clients of ours. So we trusted and followed the advice thinking this was correct and were shocked to see we were blocked as if we were some kind of online spammers. I am now left in the position of taking over and trying to back track the mistakes that were made. But, how are we to ever make our company's legitimate page, if we are never given a second chance to make the corrections? We currently have a journalism student helping us write a bio of our company that will be sourced properly. I also was seeking the help of I dream of horses to go about this in the proper manner. I am asking for another reconsideration please. We are novices to all social media venues, especially Wikipedia. It's a sad day if in learning and making mistakes, we can't even correct them. Thank you, again. ALWMaltbie (talk) 15:29, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your account made this edit, so either you wrote it - in which case you're promoting your company and trying to lie to us about it, and will not be unblocked - or more than one person can access this account, in which case it is compromised and will not be unblocked. Either way, there is no way you will be unblocked if we believe you have any intention of writing about your employer again; you are not permitted to write about Kubik Maltbie on Wikipedia. If you have no other interest here beyond that, please consider alternative outlets instead. Yunshui  16:19, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear editors,

I apologize, but I'm at a loos. I do not know how to explain to my boss that we are not allowed to have a Wikipedia page.

In no way have I lied in anything I have explained in my previous requests and am saddened to be accused of such a thing. I do not lie.

I was 100% honest in what I wrote about the mistake that was made in the process we went through. I'm new to my job and simply trying to fulfill the request of my boss in creating an honest non sales bio page about our company that has existed for 57 years. We use Wikipedia regularly and through all this never meant to be viewed as being only interested in promoting our company. We wanted a true portrait of our company to be represented.

I dream of horses was very kind in offering some help to us and we were following it by having an unbiased biography written to get us started. We also have been trying to increase our social media presence as advised by I dream of horses.

Is there no way we may be permitted to try again, please?

Even a trial basis for us to fix and attempt to do thing right?

Thank you for your time and considerationALWMaltbie (talk) 20:36, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is zero tolerance to the use of our site as a marketing medium because the purpose of Wikipedia is to provide a high quality, reliable encyclopedia. Our readers expect unbiased, independent coverage of our subject matter. This means explicitly rejecting edits like yours. Furthermore, undisclosed native advertising is deceptive and illegal. For starters, point your boss to the main major Wikipedia policies/guidelines - WP:Notability (and WP:Notability (companies and organizations)), WP:Neutral point of view, WP:Identifying reliable sources, WP:Verifiability, and WP:Conflict of interest. Have him read over them - not just skim them, read them. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:09, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
