Deletion nomination for freewire

Hello, I did not mean for you to remove the deletion tag. I believe it should be deleted. I didn't know that clearing the page did this. I just thought my comment wasn't necessary. TheUSConservative (talk) 06:06, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

  • TheUSConservative, I left you a message on your talkpage because it was not clear as to what you were trying to do. That is not the correct way to nominate an article for deletion. If you believe that an article should be deleted, then you have to make sure that you explain the reason in AfD discussion. I have NOT removed any tag instead have started the discussion as you can see here. If you are not sure what the "page was doing" (as you said on your talkpage), then I strongly recommend you read WP:AfD before you nominate any more articles for deletion. Happy editing. Help to Create a Life History

₩ho can you help me to Create a articles page about my Farmers Day 27th Jestha programme in Nepal to share a great news for Nepales. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dev Dhawal (talkcontribs) 05:02, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

But why, Are you know about "Farmers Day" . If you and your family depending upon others sources then also you have to eat for or other material to be alive. We know that this material are prepared by Agro raw materials. Then why we didn't have any questions to develop Farmers and respect Farmers as Celebrating #FarmersDay2070. You can search about Farmers Day 27th Jestha in Google search. .....thanks sir — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dev Dhawal (talkcontribs) 08:42, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Could you please relist this? The two keep votes are the deprodder of the article and an editor who involved himself in several AfDs I started, so at the very least, there is no consensus built. MSJapan (talk) 03:34, 21 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Hello MSJapan, I personally felt that consensus was built since no-one supported the AfD. However, I am still opening the AfD. Kindly relist the same to get more consensus. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 03:47, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
    • Setting aside the fact the MSJapan seems to damn everyone who disagrees with him (even though Kvng and I have every right to participate in AfDs just as much as he has to start them), a third person has now voted Keep on the article, so it'll probably get kept in the next couple of days anyway. pbp 23:12, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
As an involved editor, I can't relist my own AfDs. MSJapan (talk) 04:28, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zoroastrian Students' Association

This was an improper non-admin closure of an AFD discussion. There were only two opinions given: mine as nominator, and one other keep opinion based on the fact that "it's an old organization; there must be sources" but without any evidence that there were any sources. Given the split nature of the discussion, a relist was in order. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:07, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

You could relist it again. Or let an admin deal with it. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:07, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

DYK nomination of RLV-TD

Hello! Your submission of RLV-TD at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know!

Please note that the nomination is on the verge of closing as unsuccessful. If you can address the issues raised both in the review and on the article's talk page, this is your final opportunity to do so. Best of luck. BlueMoonset (talk) 16:46, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

This is an improper closure under WP:NAC. experienced non-admins in good standing may consider closing a discussion on that page which is beyond doubt a clear keep. LibStar (talk) 12:08, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

this is now at deletion review. LibStar (talk) 12:13, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
Given that this is not your first (or second, or even third) instance of an improper non-admin closure, perhaps you should consider refraining from this activity in the future. There is no rush to close AFDs, and except under extraordinary circumstances, they should only be closed by experienced admins. NAC should not be used as a means of just helping clean up the backlog unless the case is crystal clear. If there is any doubt whatsoever, NAC should not be used. A no-consensus closure is never a case of "no doubt whatsoever" and NAC should never be used for that. (As a contrast, the only time I ever use NAC is if the article under discussion has already been speedily deleted, and the deleting admin simply neglected to close the AFD themselves.) WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:33, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
agreed. And if AKS continues this, expect a WP:ANI on this. LibStar (talk) 12:39, 25 June 2016 (UTC)
  • LibStar, explain to me why is that an improper closure? Just because you happen to be the nominator and you argued with everyone who voted keep? As far as your understanding of non-admins performing closures, read this. It clearly states that non-admins can perform AfD closure as "Keep, Redirect, Merge and no consensus". And dont post threats on my TalkPage about reporting me.
WikiDan61, yes there has been discussion on my non-admin closure (including a DRV) BUT the final outcome has been exactly the same as my initial action in all the cases. Be sure of what you are accusing me of. If you have an issue and want more discussion on the AfD, then request so and as courtesy to another experienced fellow editor I will re-open it with proper remarks (as I did in case of "Activity centre" and it came out with the same result). As far as no-consensus is concerned, I am sorry but I don't agree with your statement completely. Please read the link I posted above. Thanks for your time folks. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 13:21, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

I believe you're closing this discussion was not within the limits of Wikipedia:Non-admin closure. This did not look like a clear consensus had been reached or that it was not contentious. I believe it should have been left for an admin. I am going to list this at deletion review. Papaursa (talk) 22:18, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Your AfD closes

As I mentioned at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2016 June 25, we need more people doing good work closing AfDs. This stuff about WP:NAC is silly, so lets eliminate that problem. Would you mind if I nominated you for adminship? -- RoySmith (talk) 13:09, 26 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Hello RoySmith, thanks for your support and understanding. Well, I was working on WP:OLD with intention to reduce burden on admins. As far as adminship is concerned, I am not sure if I qualify for it yet, simply because I away from Wikipedia for 5 months and got back in May 2016. CSD nomination

hello Aks.9955 I dont understand why you are having issues with the article i have written. There are many articles of similar nature which are there on wikipedia, but you seem to have chosen the one i have written. I request you to kindly go through this link https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Delacon which is of similar nature. If you wish to add content to the article i understand but simply deleting it when other similar articles exist is not a valid argument. I hope you will take this into account. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dudegols2891 (talkcontribs) 10:35, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Hello Dudegols2891, the company you quoted is notable. As per the article, "Delacon pioneered the development of phytogenic feed additives in the 1980s and is the world's largest producer and distributor of these products". I am not sure what the claims were in the article you wrote, but when I read it, There is nothing notable in the article you created. Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 11:09, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

CSD nomination (unknown)

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --TAcMP02112004 (talk) 11:34, 29 June 2016 (UTC) This artcle is real. It is about an 11 year old who has established his own company, Faraz Softwares for designing websites for the sake of a better future. Don't you think that this achievement of Ahmad Faraz should be appreciated and known to the world? So, please dont delete this page as it is a very good and inspiring articles for the children of young ages to take interests in the IT sector. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TAcMP02112004 (talkcontribs)

Hey, AKS.9955. I just saw that this AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sweat Cosmetics was closed. I was about to vote delete as I had a closer look at the sources and found that sources do not show sufficient notability. Nobody had analysed or presented any sources in the AfD. If you don't mind, could this be relisted? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 06:00, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

  • The problem is no one analysed or presented any sources. The !votes were bordering on assertions like "I agree that the article passes GNG.", "Disagree. It's a notable business started by notable women athletes. Article meets WP:GNG criteria." I believe this didn't get enough time to have a clear discussion. If you notice, User:Rebbing left a note asking for a clarification, but it was not clarified either. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 06:11, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
  • I am curious to know how this was a "clear keep". 2 !votes were WP:VAGUEWAVE. The discussion had very few participants, a concern stated was not replied and it was not even relisted even once. In my opinion this closure is inappropriate; it was ripe for a WP:RELIST. Pinging Rebbing for their opinion. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 07:16, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Hello Lemongirl942, The AfD was open for over a week and you did not vote. You said you were about to vote; but you did not vote. What were you waiting for? I dont see how will the outcome of the AfD change just because of your vote. I am sorry but I wont reopen the AfD. If you still have issues, I recommend you consider DRV. Result of Drowtales AFD

Hello, AKS.9955. I'm a bit confused why the Drowtales nomination was closed as keep, seeing as the !votes were 2 against 2 and the arguments by those voting "keep" didn't seem productive whatsoever. Could you give some extra explanation? I would particularly like to know how to go forward with the article, as there's just nothing to work with :( ~Mable (chat) 20:57, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Hello Mable, AfD outcome is not determined purely by counting votes but the discussion and facts are also considered. Looking at the discussion, the outcome was a clear keep. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 05:13, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
    • I'm sorry, I really don't want to push this, I just fail to understand how some published books constitute notability. I want to improve articles in the webcomics scope, but I just can't write anything about something like this because there's nothing to work with > ~ < I didn't mean to imply that the exact !votes tally was important; I simply have difficulty understanding the "keep" arguments. There are no sources... ~Mable (chat) 08:30, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
  • No sources? There *are* different sources. - But can we at least agree on that Drowtales itself is a source? There are 6000-7000 pages of comic and as mentioned a lot of other kinds of media associated with the franchise. Also there is plenty of secondary sources, at least in the form of the creators comments on their own work. (There is at least that if you insist on dismissing any other secondary source published in new media as non-reputable.) You might have misunderstood Wikipedia:No original research... I agree with Argento Surfer that there is a lot of "plot dump". But that the article would be better off shortened (or split) is not an argument for deletion. I can try have a look at it one of these days, now that it's not under threat to be thrown out just because the studio chose to direct market it. Anjoe (talk) 23:07, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Well, I'm actually working on compiling a list of reliable sources (by Wikipedia standards), inspired by the one from WikiProject Video Games, see Wikipedia:Webcomic sources. Feel free to add to such discussion, though. I've also argued strongly against using webcomics as primary sources, as it results in a creep of original research quite unlike any other field. See WP:WANGAS for my arguments there. I'm just trying to get the webcomics project on the same level as other WikiProjects, so it's no longer this "special case" with lower standards ^_^; ~Mable (chat) 08:44, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
  • Hello everyone, just a small suggestion. Should we not discuss the reference improvement and specific related matters on the article talkpage. That way, all the discussions will be "preserved" with the article so that in future people can refer to it. I don't mind if you want to discuss it here but for future sake, I brought it up. Cheers, Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 08:52, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
  • I will say I'm a pretty strong inclusionist and I don't think a keep outcome was the right call here. There just aren't reliable independent sources (at least that I could find). I believe that all the ones in the discussion were all self published. I choose note to !vote because I tend to think we _should_ have material like this, but our policies and guidelines mostly say otherwise.... Hobit (talk) 00:36, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of Dr. Mohammad Aliakbari

Hi Arun- you have stated there are two reasons why the page "Dr. Mohammad Aliakbari" has been deleted. First,"it seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic", and second because "It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia". Both of these have resulted in the speedy deletion of the page. First before anything, I'd like to state that this is not an autobiography. I am a person who works at HPTV, with Aliakbari, who is writing an article for him. If this is the main issue, I have no problem creating an account with my own name. Next,Dr. Aliakbari is the first in the world to receive the Healing Therapy phD. In relation to his significance being questioned, Aliakbari has had many books, articles, & papers written about him. He has appeared on segments like on FOX News, and has been awarded and studied by Princeton University. He has been acknowledged by governments and courts in the United States, Syria, Iran, and Switzerland. In regards to this page being promoting, again, if it is about my username, I am happy to post under a different account and have you being the individual who approves the article. After a second time editing, I have made sure there are no sections which promote him. I ask that you either point out areas which you find promoting so the article can be brought back up, and I can edit it. -- Dr. Mohammad Aliakbari (talk) 15:29, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

  • Dr. Mohammad Aliakbari, is the article about you? You must know that you failed to establish notability as per WP guidelines. Please read WP:BIO and ensure that all relevant criteria are met. You may also want to read WP:SPAM and WP:COI. Be rest assured that if the article / contents meet Wikipedia guidelines, the article will be created and no one will ever delete it. At the same time, if it does not meet the guildeines and policies, there is no way the article can be created. Let me know if you need help. Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 17:05, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

  • Thanks Cas Liber. I have a doubt and need your help. Are the DYK articles supposed to be in the DYK section for one day? Reason I ask this is, I noticed that this page came up at 15:00 UTC on 15th Jul and was taken off on 16th July at 00:00 hours. Can you please clarify? Thanks. Arun Kumar SINGH (Talk) 03:50, 16 July 2016 (UTC)
  • Actually, the length of time DYK articles are on the main page can vary, but lately we've been doing two sets per day, which generally run 12 hours each. We try to publish at noon and midnight UTC; if we get off cycle, our publishing bot moves in 15 minute increments to get us back to noon and midnight. In this case, your DYK moved to the main page at 15:01 UTC on July 15, and was replaced at 02:45 UTC on July 16, running for 11 hours and 45 minutes (15 minutes short of 12 hours). Speedy deletion of schools

Hi AKS.9955 - I note you have nominated Pirgacha High School for deletion under criterion A7.
Unfortunately, A7 "applies to any article .... that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, with the exception of educational institutions"
I don't know why there is that exception, but it is a nuisance. You could follow the Articles for deletion method but as WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES explains, "... high schools are usually kept except when zero independent sources can be found to prove that the institution actually exists." - Arjayay (talk) 10:31, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
