Could you please add a little more information on the source of the quote you gave on the Hildegard of Bingen page? Is it from a personal communication, a book, a webpage? You can take a look at WP:CITE for information on how to include this information, or you can just stick it in there and I'll format it for you. Editing style

Hi,

Welcome to Wikipedia. You've added an impressive amount of new material in a very short time. Unfortunately, I think you may have gone overboard in your reading lists, at least on the ones I've checked on Ælfric and Hildegard. Remember, we're writing a general purpose bibliography so the reading lists shouldn't try to cover everything that vaguely touches on the subject of our article.

To be specific, general references on Benedictine monasticism don't need to be present in an article on Ælfric. There are other articles on monasticism and appropriate references can be found there.

Secondly, articles on esoteric topics (the use of optical techniques to recover Ælfric's texts) don't really need to be in a general article on Ælfric.

In a nutshell, remember our audience; we're writing articles for a general reader, so bibliographies aimed at a graduate seminar aren't really appropriate.
