[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Books of the Maccabees, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. - If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
IP, I can see that you did try to explain your motivation for the edit. Please feel free to start a discussion on the article's talk page about it. --Jprg1966 (talk) 20:24, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Judas Maccabeus. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 20:27, 8 August 2020 (UTC)

OK, time out. Edit summaries are not a place to engage in soapboxing. You're making some changes that require a concensus, and personally I don't think you'll find one for all of these. Why did you change "ba'elim" to "ba'alim"? Those are two completely different Hebrew words with different spellings. It has always been "ba'elim" in the Masoretic text. --Jprg1966 (talk) 20:38, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
- You appear to be waging a personal war with some of your edits and show no interest in communicating with other editors or seeking consensus from them. I strongly advise you to cool off and edit collaboratively. --Jprg1966 (talk) 20:41, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.
Disruptive editing
[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. at Judas Maccabeus per a complaint at WP:ANI. EdJohnston (talk) 18:23, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
Explanation
[edit]In case you may eventually read this, Wikipedia is not a confessional religious encyclopedia. Your arguments need to cite scholarly reliable sources (WP:RS, WP:CITE). When reverted, you should attempt to seek consensus at the article's talk page rather than reinstating your edits, since editing is a collaborative process (WP:CONSENSUS, WP:BRD, WP:WARRING). As for BC/BCE, we have a manual of style about it, MOS:ERA. Your block is short and you may hopefully have a better experience on WP in the future. —PaleoNeonate – 18:55, 10 August 2020 (UTC)
