User talk:69.208.78.151
I noticed the large amount of edits you did this morning, and I have to wonder why somebody such as yourself wouldn't be doing so under a registered user. Naturally it's not an important thing, but it would likely add to the credibility of your edits. Again, this is not a criticism, just my suggestion to you. Thanks, and good day. -- KirinX 18:51, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

Since I think you are the user above, but if not my appologies. However, please refrain from contributing edits that are simply changing something to your style. Died/passed away are both accaptable, and the original authors' intentions should be followed. Please find something more meaningful to contribute to, say doing some research and adding content. - Thank you "Aboutmovies". I used "Passed Away" in my content, and I wonder why someone would care to change it?- Bachur 08:24, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's because of WP:WTA, I've shown you on your own talk page, Bachur :) SGGH 11:21, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Style
[edit]I didn't say anybody owned the articles you have been changing. The point was if there is not an issue, then there is no need to change. The "words to avoid" is just that, avoid. Does not say never use (and I have used it in some articles I have edited), and furthermore, these are guidelines.
Also, where does NPOV come into this? The section you mentioned says nothing about the NPOV policy. Died also has its own conotations that not everyone agrees with, I personally don't care which one people use. What it comes down to is a stylistic choice that should be respected. For instance Newsweek used to use the headline Died, now they use Transitioned. Their choice. Aboutmovies 02:23, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Please read WP:BIO
"Sportspeople/athletes/competitors who have played in a fully professional league..."
Major League Baseball is easily a fully professional league, please do not propose deletion on MLB Players, past or present.
This has already been discussed before.

suggested wikification
[edit]You posted a suggestion to wikify my article "Russian traditions and superstitions" and I was wondering if you could advise me on what exactly you think should be done. Thank you. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Abbadonnergal (talk • contribs) 18:17, 17 January 2007 (UTC).
