[edit]

Hello, I'm Josve05a. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to 2013 in British television, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Josve05a (talk) 20:46, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Grimsby Town

[edit]

Hi, your recent edits to Grimsby Town F.C. are somewhat confusing. The history of when Match of the day (which Grimsby have never appeared on) came on air, and the launches and Sky Sports and Compass FM all have no place on this article. Please don't revert my edits again. Thanks Footballgy (talk) 16:41, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello User:Footballgy Compass FM is a radio station in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham that did feature Grimsby Town F.C. matches but you were right to tell me that Grimsby never appeared on Match of the day so Grandstand and Final score featured Grimsby Town F.C. along with Sky Sport News. I'll stop until my internet has stopped working. Regards User 62.255.138.2 18:16, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
That is still irrelevant? If your going to mention Compass in Grimsby your going to have to list every television and radio station that does coverage on Manchester United games on their page then. Compass, Sky and the BBC are not involved or affiliated with Grimsby Town so just because Compass did coverage on Town games for one season dosen't make it relevant to mention them within the clubs main intro section and the clubs historical timeline. Information icon Please stop making test edits to the M40 motorway article. None of your edits were constructive and if you continue with such edits, you will be blocked from editing. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 17:19, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted lyrics to articles, as you did to the article Camberwick Green, as this is a copyright violation, and goes against Wikipedia's non-free content policy and general content policy. Once again, please stop making test edits to M40 motorway. Your edits are not constructive and if you continue you will be blocked from editing. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 13:33, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The same comments apply to your edits on M6 motorway and M42 motorway. David J Johnson (talk) 14:24, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have also reverted your edits to List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, apart from spelling mistakes - none of your edits has any references. Wikipedia operates by quoting reliable sources. Once again please stop making unconstructive edits, or you will blocked from editing. Thank you, David J Johnson (talk) 13:58, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 62.255.138.2, can you please give an explanation for your edits? If other users are finding them disruptive, you'll have to either explain them (so other users can understand what you're doing) or you'll end up being blocked. Acalamari 16:11, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring on The Chase (game show)

[edit]

I notice that you've been adding information to the above article that is being reverted by User:198.7.62.204. Please stop, because you appear to be in an edit war. Breaking the three-revert rule can result in a block, so please stop adding the information without a source. Thank you.Lugia2453 (talk) 20:52, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Trumpton, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 09:26, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As you have not responded to the questions and warnings from other editors while simultaneously continuing the edits that others are querying you about, I have blocked you for 31 hours. Signing comments

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.--McGeddon (talk) 13:34, 12 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hello McGeddon It's good to tell me that there two ways and I should sign posts you're indeed correct. Regards User:62.255.138.2 21:58, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Edit summaries

[edit]

Hello again. As I said here, there's no need to make talk page comments when updating articles. It's actually a little confusing, because talk pages are usually for discussing potential or controversial edits - somebody reading the talk page will tend to assume that you are suggesting that such changes be made, not that you have already made them.

If you want to briefly explain why you've made a particular edit, you should use the edit summary box below the edit window. Summaries of past edits can then be clearly read at the article's history page. Let me know if you have any questions. --McGeddon (talk) 08:51, 20 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I must listen to you. Regards User:62.255.138.2 21:25, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at BBC shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. 2014 in British television

[edit]

It has been reported by at least two newspapers that the BBC overlooked the anniversary. The BBC website says nothing about the New Year's edition celebrating the occasion, so kindly explain why you changed the entry. Paul MacDermott (talk) 18:19, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Coach Trip (series 4). List of years in British television

[edit]

This article is for major events that occur in British television, so please don't crowd it by adding everything that happens, as we still have eleven months of the year to go and it'll give the section undue weight. Compared to the furore created by Benefits Street, the Royal Mail stamps is a relatively minor thing, and as the year progresses we'll need to add and delete things that have greater or lesser significance. Thanks. Paul MacDermott (talk) 10:21, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
