[edit] Hello! I'm Peaceray. Your recent edit(s) to the page Talk:Kamala Harris appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. As per wiktionary:African-American: A member of an ethnic group consisting of Americans of black African descent.
Ergo, Harris is African-American. Peaceray (talk) 19:30, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Regarding your recent statement on Talk:Kamala Harris, you made the statement that
but WE who are in FACT African-American know the truth.
Frankly, there is no way to verify you are what you say you are (see On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog). - However, I think that the statement of the NAACP that Harris carries more weight than an anonymous dissenter (see WP:UNDUE).

If elected, Harris would be the first Black female President in United States history.

- It is the TALK PAGE, not that article. STOP deleting my conversation. Censoring the talk page for other than violation of terms, or hate speech is not cool. If you don't agree with my position, then YOU cite why MY OPINION is wrong. 47.146.38.207 (talk) 18:05, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Flag and seal of Illinois, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Paris1127 (talk) 23:37, 31 August 2024 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Shanghai, you may be blocked from editing. Paris1127 (talk) 02:53, 5 September 2024 (UTC)

. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:57, 7 September 2024 (UTC)- HaHa!!! It was actually funny, and I know you laughed. 47.146.38.207 (talk) 00:05, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
- I have been impressed by some kinds of vandalism in the past, such as [1] which is labeled "best Wikipedia diff" in my bookmarks. And I certainly laughed about some really silly jokes I hadn't read before while blocking. However, I genuinely felt nothing but "silly, block" when reading yours. Perhaps you can use the time to think of better jokes. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:10, 8 September 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
You have recently made edits related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. This is a standard message to inform you that post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 23:58, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
